Caltrops + Steel Tornado Speed Bug

Bug: To reproduce, drop Caltrops and start spamming Steel Tornado while enemies are taking damage. Eventually, you start moving ridiculously fast (to the point of being near unplayable). And to the point of inducing wicked motion sickness, too. While I admit it's funny to have once flown across half of Cyrodiil due to launching into the air due to this bug... it makes a build that uses Caltrops and Steel Tornado almost unplayable at times. And trying to use this combo in Vet Maelstrom Arena is pretty much a death sentence.

I've /bugged this several times, but after several months, this is still an issue. I'd love to see this fixed as motion sickness is no one's friend. =D

Also, props to the EP for sniping me at the end of this. I was so disorientated due to the random teleporting and speed jumping that I had no idea what happened.

I had it happen to me once while at Glademist Mine, and it launched me all the way to Chal... where I splattered INSIDE the keep, and was able to res inside an enemy keep. I was laughing the entire time, but seriously had no idea what happened. Most of the time I just end up somewhere nearby having no idea what happened... but it's too easy to trigger, and it really reduces a lot of build functionality to have to compensate around.

    Hey
Interesting but i did also note that you had the bubble for total darkness or whatever it is called,
Wondering if this is not linked to the DK tallons and that bubble..

While a good observation, like Peel above, I've also had the issue strike when fighting Grobull, and in Maelstrom. Anywhere that I've used Caltrops + Steel Tornado at the same time has resulted in the speed bug.

The old reflected AoE snare bug :D

Basically, if you are affected by a reflect and use a root or a snare, you'll transcend mortality and achieve CHIM, which then allows you traverse the land at the speed of a murder of cliff racers who has spotted the nerevarine. Bonus points if you are at Alessia Farm and happen to be facing the keep when it happens.

Steel Tornado has nothing to do with this, it's just a reflected snare being translated into a speed boost.

This one hails from far Singapore, excuse this one for his high pings. He also apologizes for any formatting/spelling errors, as he tends to answer using a mobile device.

Insanity is the price of Knowledge. Herma-Mora and Sheogorath, this one bows before thee.

This one does not advocate for any class to be nerfed. There are far deeper underlying issues then a simple "Class Imbalance". The Champion System is the problem. Not classes.

Please read this before creating yet another nerf thread.

Its amazing to see how old bugs jump out again.

I don't think it's the caltrops. There was a bug some months ago having to do with eclipse (the black bubble from the templars) and a DK ability. Eclipse reflects spells, and somehow a speed increase gets "reflected"/applied to the player. Can you reproduce it without getting Eclipsed/Bubbled?

Its a bug from when your caltrops refkects damage at you you dint have to soan steel tornado just move and the reflected damage pushes you off.

Easy fix dont use caltrops when eclipsed or against grobul or new dwemer world boss
