    Exactly the point. You just said it yourself... Why avoid it when I can purge it? (why play when I have a 1 hit fix?) So zerg just stand around with their 1 hit fix and ignore siege weapons. While you're spamming purge the guy next to you is doing what? What great input does he have to the fight besides being a number? All he has to do is turn up.

    Yet PvP isn't player vs player in this game, hence why we have loads of keeps, resources, NPCs, towers and objectives to capture those very places. Large scale PvP which involves siege weapons, that's expected and pretty much realistic anyway...

    I (and many many others) would be so happy if they just buffed the siege weapon damage, gave us small scale PvP like arenas, where siege weapons won't work, or something... and possibly remove the AOE cap or make the siege weapons ignore it, making siege weapons one of the only ways to stop a zerg.

    Think the Romans and other warrior races would beg to differ, considering Ballistas were used for both ant personnel and walls/covering fire etc.

    Then why do we have oil catapults, oil pots, scatter shot catapults, fire + shock ballistas, fire + ice trebuchets?
    If it was just about walls and doors we'd only need ram, stone trebs and normal ballistas.

    No. You are absolutely wrong. Only stone siege is supposed to take down walls and Rams for doors. What about fire siege, meat bags, oil, lighting, and fire pots? They should all have their place.

    That is not the only thing siege was intended for. Otherwise, just get rid of all siege except Stone.

    Id like to make a point though, siege damage where it is at is good because if you are getting sieged and have a group attacking you and you do not purge the siege 9/10 you will die unless you are A. a 24 man zerg running multiple staple healers or B. a smaller group running a *** of heals

    I am interested in this video and Yes I am a vampire but so is half of cyrodil it is required on some classes for mobility

    any player will die to siege in 2-3 seconds if they do not counteract it there is no need to buff it

    also apart from like disease siege or whatever do you really think the devs intended us to shoot fire ballistas at each other and have fun?

    I play my character in pvp not some simple ass siege weapon

    So you're all for standing around in a zerg spamming purge and vigor, and not really using any skil to play the game? Just let someone else heal you and attack the nearest target ignoring all incoming siege? You know how to "play" your character....

    If you wanted a "real life" siege scenario, the following changes would be made

    - Meatbags removed and replaced with.. trebs. Trebuchet's were not only used for breaching castles, but they also loaded them with animal dung and rotten meat to fling over the walls to spread disease.
    - Ballistas should do additional damage to enemies
    - Ballistas should do additional damage to the corner of the doorways
    - A giant flaming rock flung by a trebuchet will instantly kill everything it hits. Because that's as realistic as you can get.

    A thread with a suggestion to buff something? This is something I've not heard for quite some time among all the 'NURF THIS THAT' threads.

    Jokes aside, sieges are by means the best way to disperse zergballs and increasing the base Weapon Damage for sieges is exactly how we could counter mindless pug-filled zergballs. I'd like to elaborate more but everyone else has pretty much said what I had in mind. And for that, I thank you. :)

    No I do not Zerg if I am in a group it is 12 or less I rely on myself to realize what is happening and react to it

    Also to the other *** in the thread I am not for realism with siege yes I would to walk away from being hit with a giant rock but not unscathed however I will heal myself because that is what you are supposed to do when being damged typically

    Also like 80% of this thread is wanting more damage from siege and you know what thats fine it will be unbalance but seriously is that what we want from PvP right now? more *** siege damage? how about fixing the lag? how about Arena? *** Siege I dont care if my group is siege a keep I dont do it, it is boring as *** and in the end pointless

    And Fuzzy just because you mentioned me not wanting this game to require skill ill let you know I made a extensive post about the state of PvE and how it takes absolutely no skill and how the Trap exploit was just another example of how little ZOS care about PvE of course I made a video demonstrating the durastic effects of the trap but unfortunately the mods removed my contstructive post and yeahh...

    Again my point. You react to it. You move. You have some skill input. Not just stand and let someone else heal you because the siege weapon doesn't hit as hard as the healing received. I'll say it again: I don't want 1 hit kills. I want a way to break up a zerg. Yes YOU play by moving or purging, but the new player, the inexperienced player won't. He won't even know what's happening because other people are healing him. Then all he has to do is aimlessly attack people. Adding damage to siege would force this player to do something other than to stand around waiting to attack.

    PC-EU Server Trueflame Campaign at 21 (GMT +1) there is just 1 EP group against all blue zerg, last night we beat them several times without even using 1 Siege Weapon (while blue Zerg kept on using Fire Balistas and Meatbag);in the end they won after stacking 5 siege weapons.

    Well to be honest, talking to you and the others who disagree, is like trying to get through to a cabbage. Just saying.

    Its like that saying "They dont know what they want" you all say you want buffed siege damage but none of you are actually thinking of the consequences all I am seeing is banter about how "this is a *** siege weapong and you cant escape it"

    Heres a point unrelevent to PvP but relevant to the discussion... Casuals complained SOOO *** hard about how the damage in the new dungeons was to high and I do think it was uneccasarily high in the begining due to so much different sources of damage all the devs have done is nerf the damage and are nerfing even more AS WE SPEAK because people cant handle it so even if you wanted seige to do more damage people would complain and it would eventually get nerfed
