Please make crafted potions green quality

All crafted foods are green (or higher) while found and vendor-purchased foods are white.

So why are crafted potions the same white color as vendor-purchased and dropped potions? Especially since there is such a huge gulf of difference in quality between the crafted and non-crafted potions?

Having them all be white makes it hard to see at a glance in your inventory which item is junk, and it makes it harder to find the right potion type in a guild store.

(Bonus: Do the same thing you already do with food and drinks: make single-effect crafted potions green, dual-effect potions blue, and triple-effect potions purple. To make it easier to tell the difference between a single-effect health potion and a tri-stat potion.)

This is such a wonderful quality-of-life idea! I often find myself hovering over potions and then going back and forth because I never remember what the values are for crafted vs. non-crafted - it just makes vendoring at the end of a run take that much longer.

YES! Hopefully they take note. The base update for this DLC seems to be more oriented to bug fixes and quality of life issues, and this would definitely fit within that scope.

I really like this idea. Plenty of times I've accidentally sold a stack of potions I crafted while trying to vendor trash potions and have had to buy them back. It's a minor inconvenience, really, but would be nice to see a difference in inventory nonetheless.

Good idea. This is the sort of quality of life change they should be focusing on when they have time instead of messing with the mechanics of monster trophies.

Awesome idea! Should save many players from accidentally selling their crafted pots thinking they are basic ones (I've done it couple times for sure).

I suggested in another thread that it would be nice if potion names would be different for potions with multiple effects.

Like __ of Health can be just a healing potion or one that restores health/magicka and stanima, making it so you have to hover over to see which is which.

Awesome and simple idea! They really should be more obvious in their quality levels.

Bump. @ZOS_RichLambert, @ZOS_GinaBruno, any chance this could be passed to the dev team? It's a pretty simple change that would make a large difference in the usability of the game.

Crafted potions should definitely be green. The reagents are all green, after all.

The strange thing is, this already exists to some extent. Some multi-effect potions exist in the data files, and they have different names. But these don't usually exist in-game (most bought/dropped pots are single-effect), and the names don't transfer to crafted pots. Even some of the colours are different.
    • Health, Armor, Spell Resist: __ of Defense (not actually a possible combination, red)
    • Health, Magicka, Stamina: __ of Rejuvenation (standard resto tri-pot, orange)
    • Magicka, Spell Power, Weapon Crit: __ of Spell Blade (not actually a possible combination, yellow)
    • Magicka, Spell Power, Spell Crit: __ of Spell Weaving (standard magicka tri-pot, blue)
    • Stamina, Weapon Power, Weapon Crit: __ of Strength (standard stamina tri-pot, green)

I definitely agree with the idea but it might not be as simple as changing a radio button on all the crafted pots. The quality of an item might factor into the power of it, so by increasing it they might have to go back and rebalance all of the crafted pots to make sure their values are the same, and potentially even adjust whatever formulas they use if they can't hit the same value with them. Hopefully it is simple though, because it's a really good suggestion.

I said the same thing back in the Beta, now, over 1 year and 9 months ago.
That said, I hope it gets implemented ... but I wouldn't hold my breath. ;)
