Thank the dude who soloed Molag Bal, btw.

You mean Molag Bal in the Center of IC?
I doubt someone can solo the whole event, first he has to take out 3 horrors from the portal, ok this could work, depens on the horror, solloing them is not a big deal, Molag Bal is even weaker than the Horrors.
But the person have to close al 3 portals fast enought that they dont respawn in the meantime.
If one portal respawn, Molag Bal will not spawn.

Btw: does we know here the cap will be?

He solo'd it, I was in TS with him as he did it. He was also EMPEROR at the time of this, which boosts the stats. He has a video of him doing it.
Hmm, taking away something already achieved only to feed it back in small doses does not sound like a great idea either. So pretty much they are losing out. I have like 40cp right now so it definitely won't affect me, but I can see the injustice of it.
Nah NOT on this one I do not think.. Because right now.... The life of ESO as a Business is on the line..He said they'll be resetting CP if you're over the cap once Orsinium hits.
Jump up and down.
Beat metal pans.
Cry
Scream
Moan.
Threaten lawsuits about being locked out of content you paid for because you already had them before the caps took effect.
ZoS WILL back down. They have proven it time and again.
Can someone who listened to the whole thing clarify the timing.
Did they say they will cap CP (sooner), but not reset points spent (above the cap) until later (when next DLC releases)?
So there will be a "grace" period? Or will the cap and reset happen at the same time?

It is completely amazing that there are people that are mad about this change.

Well if I had ground out that many CP (which farming IC with a good group goes quick - no exploits needed), I'd probably be pissed at ZOS. ZOS did introduce a poorly thought out system. One they were warned was going to lead to this exact issue. But they did it anyway only to reverse course and take away benefits from players.
@ZOS_RichLambert announced more details on CP caps on ESO Live today. They will come with Orcsinium and prevent you from spending over the cap they provide. You can still earn them, just cant use them until the next cap raise.

Also, we now have 2 guys with over 2K champ points, 15-17 others with over 1400 and.. the rest of us.
Now, he also said they wont be resetting skill points and attributes, thanks to the whiners who couldnt figure out their build again after the last reset.
What this means is, IF they play this the way they have other things, and if nothing changes, they wont take away what you have, and it wont be wiped out with a CP reset. So,, get yourself a huge number of CP, blast them into whatever you think is uber, and then sit back, ,with your arm held out holding the head of the dude trying to kill you. Then, laugh and one-shot him, because you are over cap and he is no where near.
They are taking away progress or just hiding it until the cap is raised?
People have some sort of grudge that CP is the source of all problems. "If he can solo Molag Bal in the sewers then it's obviously CP to blame and not that the player knows how to effectively use their class and abilities"
I solo'd Vet Imperial Prison final boss on hardmode with only around 360 CP.
So stop acting like skillful players don't exist and the only reason they're good is because of CP. If you actually tried to learn the mechanics inside and out, as well as advanced concepts such as animation cancelling at every possible frame, then maybe you'd understand

We will always have vet levels!!! They have no intention of removing them. How else can they raise cap, steal all our gear, then force us to buy the DLC to grind up our level and get new gear?
Of course, they could always come out with actual quality content that people want to play but they have given up on that path ages ago.
- Come out with DLC
- Raise Level Cap
- Populate your DLC by making it the only place to grind XP and get new gear
- Make grinding and gearing take as long as bearable to buy yourself time
- Once everyone is finally geared and leveled, Come out with new DLC
- Raise Level Cap...
It's a ZOS issue, not a player issue. You can't blame players if they've mastered a tiny bit of dated content with the resources you've handed them. ZOS needed to keep content flowing to match the progression of its biggest fans.
And they haven't. Nobody needs a cap. Nobody needs a catch-up. ZOS needs to release grander, exciting, more challenging content so that more people want to play more and be part of the powerful minority who gets to experience the biggest, baddest battles imaginable.
But when you show up in shorts to a professional recording, you're basically telling me you're all right with mediocrity. So whatever. Make some more average, short-sighted decisions. Appease the weekend casual console gamer, instead of rewarding those few long-term PC players who actually seem to give a damn about being prepared for the best your game will have to offer.
Those players must scare ZOS. When you have players who actually play the game there's suddenly this demand to add things to it. No more glacial pace. No more excuses. Some scary stuff right there.

Except that it's been stated that they're not raising the Veteran level cap with Orsinuim. They'll start with the CP cap instead.
If it had been me, t would have just kept VR's and raised the level caps with new content like every other game, rather than inventing a whole new system that people won't stop complaining about anyway.

So what hes got lets say 1K CP at the moment and cap for season will be lets say 500 ... till u grind to 500 u gonna cry like a baby for 6 months or more xD

I think you misunderstood what they said. The part where they mentioned that they wouldn't reset skills after a major patch does not apply to this up coming Champion System change, they are separate issues. So players over the cap will be getting their Champion Points reset and will be able to re-allocate 100 of those points, while the remaining points will be of no use until that cap is raised further.
Hope that's clear! Because from what you've said; you are encouraging players to go grind their brains out, which if people do, they're only going to get burnt out and disappointed.
redspecter23 wrote: »But they are aware seasonal CP only delay the problem, not solve it, right?
This is pretty much it right here. Delay the problem a few months or a year. When the cap is over 1500 some time down the road, new players still won't have a catch up mechanism in play and we have the same problem all over again.
Rich was.. sketchy.. saying they also have plans for a catchup system... which will be fun when those with 2K CP level their under VR level alts with those 2K CP AND the catch-up system, because, you know.. bugs...
You guys HAVE all figured out this is yet ANOTHER reason for vet players to STOP playing the game, right? Progression stops at the cap..
