Magicka Knightblade for IC

Imperial City drops tomorrow for PS4 and I haven't seen much magic nb gameplay so i have a couple questions.
1.Would it be better to run drinks because i don't really see a point in staying vamp because you have to have the skills on your bar and i have seen that there are sustain issues?
2.As far as attributes, should i just dump all in magicka or put some in health because i wouldn't be running food?
3.Which set would be the best to go for scathing mage or overwhelming?i have been told the scathing is the better option and just want to make sure.

Nightblades are extremely potent, even in 1.7. It requires a slightly different approach now, but the core has more or less stayed the same. There is now an emphasis on wearing an opponent down before unleashing a burst combo to finish the job. You can't expect to unleash attack after attack like in 1.6 and just expect that to win you the fight.

    To answer your questions:
    1) Go for food, you have an extremely potent form of resource regeneration available to you in the form of Siphoning Attacks + Weighted Resto Staff/Bow. Fights take longer now, and thus provide you the time you need to regenerate your resources. Consider pairing Siphoning Attacks with Merciless Resolve for a free ultimate-level damage ability every 4 light attacks.

    2) Put enough in health to reach at least 22k HP with a food buff active, then split the rest in a 4:1 ratio between your primary and secondary resource. For example, if were a magicka build and you needed 14 points in health to hit 22k health, go for 40 points in magicka and 10 points into stamina. This ensures you'll have enough of the opposing pool to use utility abilities, as the more tools you can bring to the fight, the more likely you'll be the one emerging as the victor.

    3) Scathing Mage and Overwhelming require inane amounts of RNG grinding to obtain, so unless you love farming WGT/ICP, I would forget about obtaining it sometime before next year. I recommend 5pc Karganac's Hope or Phoenix (Even though it's bugged, it's still a really good set).

In addition, you want to get your hands on some VR16 Legendary Weapons ASAP. These allow you to push spell power to 4k+ or weapon power to 5k+. For reference, a Legendary VR14 sword provides 1132 damage, whereas a VR16 Legendary Sword provides 1332 damage. That 200 damage difference is very significant. In addition, VR16 armor enchants provides a 20% stat increase over their VR14 counterparts, so you can essentially push your damage back to 1.6 levels, with the right amount of gearing and CP allocation.

P.S: It's completely possible to get 30k tooltip Assassin's Wills.

This one hails from far Singapore, excuse this one for his high pings. He also apologizes for any formatting/spelling errors, as he tends to answer using a mobile device.

Insanity is the price of Knowledge. Herma-Mora and Sheogorath, this one bows before thee.

This one does not advocate for any class to be nerfed. There are far deeper underlying issues then a simple "Class Imbalance". The Champion System is the problem. Not classes.

Please read this before creating yet another nerf thread.
