I would pay north of 1M for a 5 piece Spell Power Cure set for my magic NB, though...
@lath That number you calculated just shows how wrong the system is. If you buy all materials to craft 5 pieces of V16 gear, you will spend 150*100*5=75'000 stones. A bit less because not all pieces cost 150 materials. Why should you pay 630 times as much for a marginally better item?

So let me get this straight. You want them to make it to where you can be fully geared in just a few runs of the dungeons, therefore defeating any purpose what-so-ever to continue playing on that character, then repeat the same process and have all 8 characters fully geared in one week? Why? So you can complain about how far apart expansions are? Seriously. This game is not meant to be beat and won in a week, people. This is an MMORPG and the best ones require you to actually grind to get the best. They aren't just going to hand over all the good stuff so you can put the game down and get bored of it to the point you go and find a new game to play and completely forget about this one. That's just bad business.
I say kudos to the development team in making people have to really work to get the best gear out there.

This is what I have on my main. All Dungeon achievements completed, 20-25 runs of both veteran dungeons. Our tank has a full Imperium set, most other people have 2-3 pieces of most (if not all) sets by now. I deconstructed the pieces with non optimal traits for the pieces that I looted with better ones.
Overal the drop rates could be higher. Only one guaranteed piece from a complete key is not satisfying enough.
Guaranteed? The past three full vet WGT clears have netted me zero set pieces. Did guaranteed randomly change in definition in the past month? I need to catch up with the times after spending all my time in these dungeons, apparently.Gilliamtherogue wrote: »most recent, after 6 hours I got 2 set pieces (Well fitted Essence Belt and Infused Garbage err Shock Master boots.)

That sounds sooooo nasty. Go wash your mouth with soap.Gilliamtherogue wrote: »Can I see your "pet reward"? Also, does it randomly "explode" into fleshy bits like the "sewers ones"? I'm excited to get mine.

I think the problem with drop rates could be fixed if they indeed fully embraced the token system in a normalized fashion, i.e. one token currency used to buy the specific item one wants to obtain. Because right now we have 8 trophies + TV = 9 types of currency for endgame sets.
Instead, I'd propose that only TV stones are used - and that players can buy specific items they need. Instead of the trophies, all mobs and bosses drop TV stones.
[...]
the drop rate feels similar to wormcult et al in previous versions (w.r.t. to the chance to get an item at all). given that you now have to run a single dungeon per 6? (is that number correct?) sets instead of 6 dungeons for three sets, anyone should see how this is really, really boring.

Quality job right here with this. Not only is this exhausting since these are extremely painful dungeons filled with one shot mechanics even on basic trash (another thread I could spend hours complaining about), but it gets you almost no where in advancement. It's absolutely terrible XP doing this, and you can't make any money because everyone is BoP and you have to spend tons of money on overpriced repair kits or repair bills as well as soul gem draining. *Edit* I forgot how taxing this in on potions as well. With prices where they are now, each of us are consuming ~300k gold worth of potions every couple of days. This is not how a gear chase should be @ZOS_RichLambert .
I can't take it anymore honestly it's pretty exhausting going in with positive attitude getting a semi decent drop on the 2nd dungeon then getting nothing for the next 5 hours... please give us an update RichWomp...the grind is real.Gilliamtherogue wrote: »The purpose of these images is to put emphasis on how common these "Unique" items drop instead of set pieces, which OVERRIDE your chance of getting a set piece. This^ hits the nail right on the head Gill. @ZOS_RichLambert everyday that goes by with this drop rate (or lack thereof) another paying customer quits the game.

One guaranteed set item from a completed treasure vault key, yes.Gilliamtherogue wrote: »Guaranteed? The past three full vet WGT clears have netted me zero set pieces. Those armor ratings look kinda low for v16... Perhaps they're actually v15 instead? :O Farming normal is hard mkaaayyy.
Also being blessed by RNGeesus=Good, when? Let me see some parses if you wanna rumble boyo.

I'd totally understand if we were on the brink of a closing arc in an expansion or something where this was the last content we were going to be doing for eight months, but with Orsinium's trial(s???) and new arena dungeon in the works, we both know that isn't the case.
So what's the deal? I truly appreciate the attention, but the vague "Keep you updated" is wearing thin. I've been told that for the past year and a half and the updates I've been provided with almost never address the heart of the problems associated with them. Please take the opportunity to turn this around. You have legions of people who love and play this game despite all the issues, but if ZoS keeps trying to solve problems with half arsed solutions, the future of the company and game aren't going to be bright.

The new DLC has been out a little more than a week, and you already have two Daggers of Agility. Methinks thou probably shouldn't be complaining about difficulties in obtaining top gear.
It did occur to me, after seeing my own Agility weapon with the Training trait and then someone else up above getting another Agility weapon with the same useless Trait, that perhaps an elegant and relatively easy fix to implement - and one that would give crafting at least a small boost - would be to let us change the Trait on weapons/armor/jewelry via crafting. We can already improve dropped items up to gold, we can already put a different enchant on them, why not let us change the Trait to something better? Heck, make it cost 25 of the desired Trait's gem to do it.

I'm not making assumptions I'm merely telling you comparing BoE and BoP gear doesn't work with statements like theseYou guys buy agility gear, you can't buy dungeon gear :P
Not everyone buys their gear - I, for one, can't afford it. I earn mine - the Agility mace I got dropped in the vet Wayrest sewers last night. The few other items I have (none of which I can actually use) have all been from accruing trophies via Imperial City.
Don't make assumptions about people - you end up looking bad more often than not.
