Having played DC since beta, and seeing the way it is now, I feel that I can simply put its success down to this, if you keep playing until all the good enemies leave and quit, you will eventually win campaigns. Modern DC doesn't have to fight, Alacrity, DiE, IR, or even havok any more. Though there are still top guilds on EP and AD especially, 1: they're outnumbered heavily. and 2: they don't care any more, winning gets boring, AD and EP have had their share of domination and TBH, they did it more respectably. AD especially in 1.1/1.2
Thats the perspective of most the DC I know who aren't self proclaiming themselves PvP gods because they've won a few campaigns in a row which I will add is hugely attributed to having one of EP's best guilds come play for us..and by hugely I mean mostly.
EP and AD need to get their stuff together during primetime
Also, don't daycap me. Bad EP, Bad!
lol wut?
DC night cap the map regularly. Forgetting last campaign where they flipped the map every night to farm emp for a *** ton of players who where mostly just bad at the game. When is the last time this mid day organization you speak of capped emp and all the scrolls? Seriously this is what happens: It lags and all the good players get irritated and leave. All the DC do is force there way through the map in all the lag. They fight unorganized resistance 90% of the time and circle jerk to how good they are. Any good players who may have been on get irritated that lag favors the giant groups, and there is no way to fight back.
I logged on last night and saw meth had emp, and I didn't even waste the time of playing in the lag . The DC Zergs that always plays + the tko 50+ man zerg. No thank you some of use enjoy playing with skill as opposed to force flipping flags in lag.
Just the other day EP had flipped the entire map but one keep, took all the scrolls and crowned Meth emp while they had pop lock and everyone else was at 2 bars. Soooo yeah...
Also the DC emp farmers some of us have actively tried to discourage before and during this campaign as it's one large guild trying to do it.
This is the hand we are dealt right now, and while some of us try to spread out and bring fights elsewhere, there isn't much we can do. We enjoy playing with skill too but with how easily lag is created, it's hard to fight without it during prime time.

DC have/ had NO Mercy, Nemesis, Shortbus and KH who have been the most respectable guilds. Sorry if I forgot some names but I am trying to say DC have had their top guilds along the way. The core DC players are very good. With these rerolls DC finally got their numbers even with 2 other factions. AD and EP were dominant factions but it would be silly not to mention they had huge numbers to back up their top guilds. It has became clear to me that to win the major campaign you need lots of meat shields to sacrifice for the good of the faction. Of course, what comes to skill some guilds just surpass bigger numbers and less skilled. In the long term, I hope the game gets the numbers even and less lag.

We just view it differently I guess, it's a faction pride thing to me. I want ever DC there is to be running around with that title, and am very motivated to crown anyone who hasn't had it before. It doesn't really matter to me if they're a good or bad player, if they've put the work in to get to #1 and are DC they deserve it. I honestly don't understand the anti-emp mindset at all, seems like people are just salty they're not able to get there...
It's not salty at all. We want a powerful emp that is going to help the faction, like EP has with Meth and AD has with Mojican. Not people that are just farming it for the title, dye color and passives soon to be removed.
If you want to emp farm go to Chillrend or Haderus or Thornblade.
I get that point, and it makes logical sense, except for the fact we're already winning the campaigns (Azura 4 out of last 5). Crowning our best as emps and leaving them as that will decrease competition.
Daniel, I can't even believe you just mentioned decreasing competition as if you own the moral high ground on this. You know what decreases competition? Lagstacking 60+ people and meteor spamming everyone into OBLIVION. Pummeling your opposing factions into submission with sheer numbers rather than skill and gate camping just to put that proverbial cherry on top of a F-U sundae. WINNING is not WINNING if your opponents CANNOT PLAY.
As one of your members said "You're here to save are worthless pathetic faction". Thank you so much for coming and helping us.
When you're on the same team, you should speak positively to one another......
If you didn't lag out the entire server and spam meteors maybe people would think a bit more highly of you and yours...
People have tried every way under the sun to ask you to stop, but you don't care to.

Can't blame the players for playing a game how it was designed to be; big group action. Blame zos for having no clue how to control the lag and refuse to even try to fix it since launch. It's a shame though, would be so much fun having full raids going at each other with skills going through for once. Meh hopefully it fixes up in IC when it goes live like it was said to.

1. We need more guild groups on Azura - need to be able to hit EP with at least 2-3 guilds on multiple fronts.
2. We need to coordinate better and, yes, make use of meteor as much as we can - more lag means better chance to win plus if you use it while EP guys are running up stairs or up a hill they will take extra fall damage and instantly die.

Just please stop talking. You are a walking contradiction. You say you don't use meteor, but then you say you use it...
When you spam meteor and run two or more raids deep you are responsible Daniel. You ran with a huge blob for a long time and threw caution to the wind with it, and when people asked you to stop you didn't. You say that you've changed from running with 50 people, maybe you have recently but you still cause lag when you spam meteor.
Also opposing people using it on you is not an excuse to use it yourself and cripple the server. That's some crap you pull when your a child and don't know any better. You know the saying two wrongs don't make a right?
Your a grown *** man, act like one.

Seriously?
Yes, it is your fault when we have a universal 3 bar/pop lock campaign and you run 50+ people and spam meteors and such. You had very little lag because there wasn't much if anyone else there on the campaign. When campaigns become populated and you still choose to zerg and spam it up like this, YOU CAUSE LAG. When the other zerg guilds do the same on the other factions, THEY CAUSE LAG.
How is it that you can't comprehend this?
You want the rest of DC to leave you there by yourselves against all of AD/EP? See how many campaigns you win then...

This is the hand we are dealt right now, and while some of us try to spread out and bring fights elsewhere, there isn't much we can do. We enjoy playing with skill too but with how easily lag is created, it's hard to fight without it during prime time.
That's about the farthest thing from the truth possible. You're welcome in our group sometime, so you can see yourself. We don't use meteor, nor even healing springs now. But yet we're responsible for it all...it's honestly hilarious at this point.
The exception would be when a certain AD guild with 80 people (we only run 1 full group max now, have for probably a month) hits us with 80 meteors at once. Yes, without a doubt, we will return with our 24 meteors and kill them all each and every time....and then we un-slot it. In these situations, the server is already in an unplayable state.
The server is already crippled when we do it. We're not breaking anything that's not already broken at that moment. You get tired of the same banana team doing it over and over again. In my experience the fastest way to make them stop is to beat them at their own game.NPK Daniel wrote: »We where in Azura before any other DC except Nemesis.
We won 2 out of 3. Alone.
Lag happens when a large number of people come together and try to "bomb" each other (which is the game design, do you expect them to stealth and roll dodge away while they take your keep or dethrone you?), the meteors don't cause the lag and they don't help the lag either. Helping the lag is getting your group out of the area to calm it down and normally you see the meteors dropping along with all your other ultimate's you think are going through, (dawnbreaker)Sorry but this reasoning in bold just doesn't work anymore. Everyone knows what causes lag, and it's inevitable to get some, but it's completely ignorant and horrendous for anyone to be running over a full raid together, or stack raids and spam meteors and such right now and then say blame ZOS. They might not have a great product, but we all know how to play within the limitations of the game so that it's fun and we don't ruin it for others which causes them to either switch campaigns or quit because of the lag.

EP and AD need to get their stuff together during primetime
Also, don't daycap me. Bad EP, Bad!

Lots of DC like to battle down around Ash/Nikel and ignore the map is the problem. Aleswell will get flagged and barely anyone moves, so it's a rather easy flip for EP. Meth had emperor and there was a large amount of DC running around fighting AD instead of working on a dethrone.

Oh yeah, last night we were trying for Aleswell while 30 or so DC were just stealthed near Nikel, waiting for AD to come by and farm them. Ignoring that if we'd gotten Ales we'd get the home keep bonus and they'd get even more AP...

No need to defend CN anymore than you have Daniel; you got the passion and the cards are on the table. Previous forums posts back when EP-zerg meta became prevailant showed DC had the same comments against the metor spam and healings springs. It was all left on deaf-ears and eventually we were told to man up and get more people to defend the night capping.
Hate the reaction or not but CN is doing nothing wrong except trying to play the game in a post-EP zerg Era and DC is merely reacting to 2 superior numbered factions.
And some of us forgot DC really can only pop lock ONE or TWO campaigns max depending on which day of the week. Rest were dominated by EP and AD and the struggle to maintain competition on those servers was real difficult to achieve.
