Dps is boring

    Thought the same...and maybe a few of them start to reflect and explore a whole new world of deeper understanding of game mechanics, which may restore the fun in this game for a DD:

    -movement
    -the higher stage of movement -> running
    -the peak of movement -> dodge roll

    and maybe even the highest lvl in the art of damage avoidance, it's sheer rocket science -> blocking

    I am working on that now trying while questing to master my weapon swap and when to toggle overload on for extra burst damage it's hella fun and a little annoying right now because I haven't mastered it but i am only level 21

    Yes i like OPS idea

    In current state of game DPSing is boring and non attractive. All dpses do is use same skills over and over again.
    Also high DPS makes dungeons boring because they can burn trought bosses so fast that they skip all mechanics.
    This makes dungeons boring and makes people quit game.

    ZOS should take care of DPSes and make them feel less boring.

    Nice solution would be that after dealing X amount of damate within timeframe (like 10k during 2 seconds) all resources of DPS would stop replenishing for next 5 seconds.

    This should make DPSing less boring, im sure ZOS would be happy with this change. Because its ZOS who should happy, not the players who actually play game.

    But that mechanic would put a cap on dps, they'd get their 10k in 2 second dps and just go full hp instead. Only thing it would accomplish would make dungeons/boss fights longer. Wouldn't make it any more interesting etc...

    I don't find dps boring at all, if your rotation consists of more than 2 skills it's not boring, especially on console as we have no add ons that tell you to re apply them.

    People just rotate thought the same skills thought the whole battle while the poor healer has to keep them alive since nobody bothers too leave the red circle under them.
    Don't you guys agree that this is incredible boring?
    Maybe too make the dps role more exiting, after casting an offensive skill, the requiered resource stops to regenerate for a few seconds.
    That way people are encouraged to use lights or even heavy attacks, which restores stamina/magicka, maybe roll dodging out of the red circle or even use block to protect themself from that evil little mob over there. :)

    We already weave light attacks when DPS'ing.

    Why can't you all just work as a group, all DPSing all healing working together communicating, doing what's needed when required, dedicated roles is so cat, be more dog

    Have you tried working on an actual project where everybody does everything and collectively nothing is done, except the gradual deterioration of each individual's mental health? That is why set roles IRL and also in MMOS work better. MMOs of course have the advantage of easily setting and changing the roles .
