Issues Connecting to Console Megaservers - Info Requested

    Our investigation efforts are still ongoing. For visibility, these are currently the three scenarios that we are focusing on for our investigation:
    • You cannot get past the initial game load screen where you eventually time out and get an invalid connection error.
    • You cannot load specific characters, and you eventually time out and get an invalid connection error.
    • You get repeatedly kicked off whenever you zone, if you can log in at all.

    [yes it boots me to the eso logo screen everytime I travel to COLDHARBOR and sometimes other places.

    It pretty much a chance of being removed to the eso logo screen ANYWHERE you see a spinning ESO logo, that includes login.

    Depends on what zone you're in, it ALWAYS loads into stonefalls, but if I log out in the rift or shadowfen, it's hard to get back in.

    Not something I'd normally post, but it is pretty amusing that after almost 72 hours they have finally narrowed it down to the exact scenarios we've all been reporting all along :neutral:

    Well according to Twitter the Xbox EU server was having login issues and whaddaya know was fixed 4 hours later. seriously?

    at least we know what they are looking at..... but are they testing it I wonder? looking is one thing fixing is another. they are prob like yep something is wrong lets look at it some more just to be sure....

    you would think ZOS would have at least tried to restart the server after telling us to power cycle everything under the sun.

    This was an answer I received after I had replied to one of those awesome automated messages (this was the 3rd ticket I had put in about all this shenanigans). What do you guys think? Real or Automated? If this a real ZOS employee, It's safe to say that some of them lack common sense and the ability to investigate an issue.
    A. There's only one toon that is currently stuck in Bangkorai (I clearly stated what toon and where it was stuck)
    B. Seriously you don't know which Megaserver? I don't have a single toon in EU lmao

    Bottom line is that you guys need take a lesson from companies like Blizzard, where from my experience is the best I have ever seen in an MMO. You guys have clearly not hired enough staff to suffice for the player base (it's apparent with your need to use an automated system to answer every single one of your in-game tickets). Pinching pennies might bring you prosperity for the short run, but if you guys foresee this game lasting as long as WoW (continue bringing in the player base), your CS branch needs to be invested into more. That means for every legitimate ticket that is submitted, there is a real person on the other end answering it with a sincere response. Infeasibility is no excuse for what I just said, the player base is not large enough to even throw that excuse out!

    Oh lord, just tried to play for the first time since Saturday. Still can't fast travel anywhere so I'm basically stuck. Every single time I try to fast travel, I get kicked saying I don't have a valid internet connection....

    I think it's time to cancel ESO plus. They better have some great compensation for this crap. 3 days for me not being able to play. It's getting kind of ridiculous.

    We'd all sure love to know how this is helping? I mean even just tell us you don't know what's going on, any response would be better than being ignored till Wednesday which is likely what will happen.

    We're aware that many of you are still experiencing issues when attempting to log into the console megaservers. We don't currently have an update, but rest assured that we are still investigating. That said, we'd like to get some information from you that will assist us:
    • Which console are you on?
    • What is your geographic location?
    • What was the last thing you were doing in-game, and where were you in-game?
    • When was the first time you got kicked from the game, and have you been able to get in and play since then?
    • Have you created a ticket with Customer Support?
    We understand this is very frustrating, and appreciate your understanding and patience while we continue to dig into this issue. Moving forward, we'll provide any updates in this thread.

    Just wanted to share a workaround with everyone since ZOS testing for 4 days hasnt come up with this yet....anyways...

    First of all this workaround will not help you log in - you will still need to try about ten times until you get online to your character. What this DOES do is let you travel..so here goes.

    Once you are logged in to your character que up for your home campaign. Yes, PvP.

    Once you get in to your campaign use the wayshrine inside of Cyrodil and you should be able to travel without disconnecting.

    If you read this and you try it please respond and let us know - it works for me, hope it helps the masses.
    POINT IS WE SHOULDNT HAVE TO DO ALL THAT , BTW STAY AWAY FROM THE BOARDERS WHERE YOU GET TO TRY 2 LOADING SCREENS WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

    I will tell you these are not seperate occurrences I run into all three of these scenarios on the same account.

    Sometimes I can not even get to character select before time out.

    Occasionally 1 in 3 or 4 I can get to character select screen.

    Once there I have zero access to one of my characters.

    I have occasional 1 in 4 or 5 attempts am able to actually enter the game works, from there I am logged out at the next load screen.

    If remote access to my account will help get this fixed just ask you can have it, this is beyond frustrating.

    The Harborage, Stormhaven, Daggerfall, Alik'r Desert, several different places. I've tried doing several different things to see if it made a difference.
    First time was during a Harborage quest. Then again in a group dungeon, all main story quests, any time I wayshrine, any map changes, basically anything but standing still gets me kicked. I've been able to play since, but minimally. I can't be online longed than 45 mins before getting kicked again.
    I've reported to CS a few times and haven't even gotten generic response back. Way to go CS team!

    Didn't submit a ticket - every time I have it's some BS automated response; what's the point?

    I've personally not had any problems (yet, which means now that I've said that, I'm sure I will) but he has.

    They're all the same. It's a loading error! Sometimes you can't load from the start screen. Sometimes you can't load from the character screen. Sometimes you can't load new zones. And yes, it does affect different characters differently.

    You keep sending me emails implying that there's something wrong with my console when the entire continent is offline. Or - even worse - you ask me to repeat information that you've already been given.

    This game was a very bad investment. It's obviously not ready for prime time.

    We are on a PS4 in North America in NY, the first time it happened was Friday night and my bf has only gotten it to play a little on Sunday once but we haven't been able to do anything since then. We have contacted every possible customer support for every platform. I'm not sure what nor where either of us are in the game.

    Man I wonder what its like at ZOS right now. You think their stressing? like imagine the pressure of a dlc coming out in less than 30 days and you have a large section of your consumer base unable to play for whats looking like 4-5 days. Im doubtful that their slacking off and I'm sure that management level personnel are crushing nuts trying to figure out what is going on.

    Nahhh I don't think so. The DLC has already been purchased by all the poor saps that have ESO plus... they got their money... they are probably just waiting with little giggles in the back for the scheduled server maintenance... plus you have to figure the majority of the game is still PC hence why the PC servers are already fixed... they got their money and fan-base... losing a few thousand won't hurt them....

    Hello zenimax, I just want to say that this is getting annoying. It's not that we can't play that's annoying us, it's that we get blamed for it. Problems and glitches occur we understand this but what we don't understand is why there is a repetitive message saying that is our faults every time we get kicked. I won't yell at you like the others but I will say that you do owe us something for our patience. Everyone that has this problem should should get there eso plus extended for a month and should get fifteen hundred crowns free of charge. I paid for eso plus and I will not stop renewing it as long as I get compensation for this error on YOUR end. My gamertag is TheGamingBosser and I am on na server on xbox one. I have been semi able to play since the 7th but I can not log in or it takes me a couple of tries anyway. Thanks for trying to fix it and good luck! Have a great day ZOS! -Michael
