Zergs in IC

So IC is really fun for small groups and all and tonight there was a group of about 15 maybe less. They were camping the spawn points of two factions moving back and forth. I should probably add this is in the memorial area. All the other area are kinda zerg proof except this one. I feel like it needs another world boss like the giant squid one. The one in there is just isn't enough with the wide area to move around. Anyone else agree?

    I think the fact that those zergs wont make any stones unless they are there to straight pve will also be an determent.

    Yea alot of players already called it that IC be small scaled ZvZ and not small scaled PvP.

    It's bringing out the ***, full tilt. Same as the ones that tea bag after getting a last hit in when you've been fighting PvE mobs or get lagged out and acting like they're suddenly bad ass. You're not a tough guy when others have done 90% of the work for you. IMO.

    Sad part is, it will get worse with live, not better. They're there to see how they can make the best use of it to push the limits on live, not for the benefit of testing all aspects.

    Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

    To a large degree this is the zerging group trying to help testing. Those are the conditions likely to arise on live, so the developers and their business insight unit need to see it happen on the PTS. It made you make this post and, having served its purpose, will hopefully stop for the remainder of the PTS. The spawn camping, not the zerging, that will continue until the best farm routs are discovered. It really depends on the actual motive of the group you saw.

    I just made a statement saying how sad it was that people are deciding to prevent players who took the time to download and update the PTS for testing purposes to do just that, test.

    These people behaving this way do not care about the health of a game, and it's pathetic. I do not buy that spawn campers and zergers in IC on the PTS have positive motives for doing so, sorry.

    I was in IC when that same EP group was at around 8 members big. Good to see they just grew larger.... Seriously, do EP players know how to play without a zerg at their back? =.=

    It will be popular at launch, but zerging and spawn camping will go away pretty quickly. AP will be pointless, and that is all that will be gained by spawn camping and zerging. The best way to make the new currency is to not kill people as soon as they spawn in and to not be in a massive group.

    Farming kills on the same people over and over will be a complete waste of time.

    I think it was just natural movement towards enemy players, until they are under spawn point. Maybe the spawn points should have longer bridges above street to few directions to let people to spread out? Also the bosses tended to move closer to spawn points.

    But i believe live will be just zerging. Best way to kill people is a tight organized ball, and the same ball can punch through mobs to reach PvE groups.

    i did go to the other places and they're so fun. but the memorial seems to be the most pvp place at some points besides the arena.

    If you don't see the purpose in finding exploits and opportunities for bad behavior then you are misunderstanding the purpose of the PTS. You need to test everything, from finding bugs in the abilities and monsters to finding exploitable mechanics and behaviors. How else can the devs address those? Wouldn't it be so much worse if it made it to live with these opportunities for bad behavior still in place? Like I said, whether or not that continues on PTS depends on the motives of the zerging group, but either way their actions are serving an important purpose.

    And my bad, I know you aren't OP but I figured that if you were criticizing the actions of others you might have actually seen it for yourself. A fair mistake, I think.
