It won't. And you won't need to. If you play your cards smartly and get the new improved critical surge instead of Degeneration, hardened ward and Harness Magicka 25-30k shield wall should be enough.

Stamina users also get Brawler if they use a 2handed.

You obviously missed entirely my second phrase where I said give emphasis on the word effective. A 4.5k Hardened Ward is not efficient....If you couple it with another 5k shield from Harness Magicka you will get with 2 casts 10k shield. That is gone with a single crystal blast for example. Ahh and forgot...you are just almost out of magicka too as a stamina character. So rethink before you post.
It is like saying that a magicka based character has equal access to dodge rolling....you do not. But dodge rolling got nerfed....shield stacking didn't.

I'd love to read people who realize that magicka shall NOT be the only way to go. There are stamina players out there that would like to EXIST in this game. Shield stacking is accessible to magicka players only, and because it scales off of magicka it's completely OP, granting people a huge output damage and a huge defense.
But this is working as intended, so why should we even take the time to report this so called issue ?

I don't really understand, why shields are stronger now, as they actually should be weaker compared to damage.
However, since Sorcs cannot escape thate easily anymore, it's fair to have reliable shields in my opinion.

Disregard the same cluelessness about shield combinations and why they aren't the be-all-end-all that some seem to think they are. There's only one Sorc shield, and if stacking is all you're doing, you're also not killing anything.
In IC, not killing the other guy does eventually = death.
The PvE enemies hit like a truck, and they've had their resistances doubled (armor + spell resist from 8% to 16%, I believe) so some parts seem a bit harder.
The lowered damage, healing, and shields give you more time to react (higher TTK), but also have less effect when you do react.
PvP is more even, but if you get into greater odds, like the 1v3 you mention, plan on having a hard time (as you should).
So, in short, you can still be survivable, vs minions and PvPers alike, but you have to watch things a bit more closely than you do on live.
Adjust your skill combinations/synergy, adjust your playstyle/group style, and use all aspects of the new world around you to your benefit where others do not.
It's not l33t , it's not broken. It's just different.
In my opinion, sorcs are just as strong on PTS if not stronger. Here's why:
On Live, the way I kill a sorc (when I actually can kill one) is to get through their shields and THEN burst them down after maybe a CC.
On PTS, the damage is low enough that they can recover faster after their shields are broken and before you can burst them.

It's simple...they dont want the game to be based on 1v1 combat...It's group vs group
@aco5712 Templar and Sorc not the same thing. And a NB that couldn't break 3k shields while you were feared should probably turn in his cloak privileges.@Merlin13KAGL
i was playing on my templar with my 3k blazing shield in duels against a NB with not bad burst. I didnt even bother to break fears if i had my *** 3k shield up because i knew i wouldnt die. So dont tell me that sorcs arent going in god mode. I have seen pve sorcs tank 6 people with little effort by just applying shields.

But I'm guessing it's actually an umbrella term, does it increase damage to the shield or does it damage through the shield?
