Its separating player base - Yeah i know, it is separating playerbase because of silly discussion like this, where people who dont do anything want everything and when they dont get it they demand to remove it from people who earned it. If people would care more for their own characters than sticking nose into someone else buissnes (and his CP) maybe they would get more CP and stop complaining how unfair it is that they dont earn CP for every "cp must go away" whine thread.
You know what really divides playerbase? Factions, PVP. It literally divides playerbase into three enemy groups. CP? They are just there, awarding those who actually play game, not afk whole day in capital city manipulating markets.

" it makes all activity in game where you dont get max ep feeling worthless" - if you feel worthless by doing this, well noone can help you, its your own attitude. If its worthelss to you, dont impose your playstyle on others. Let them do what they want, earn cp or not. Demanding to remove them just because they dont fit you is selfish.

Last time i looked into CP the increase per one CP was around fraction of one percent. There is no magical "insta 100% damage boost" CP passive.

Or maybe you just dont mention how much CP you actually need to reach that "king with 100% mode dmg."?

CP system IS a problem. When the game population will have a spread of 1000 points or more, ZOS won't be able to balance their content (PVE wise). And PVE content is engaging when a good party can barely make it.

So they HAVE to rethink the system, if not PVE content will be impossible for someone and trivial for someone else. And everybody will be pissed.

zos advertised it as character individualizing system, which it is not, its only a boring linear system with no fun

yes it will be so good for the future of pvp, all new players will get farmed for months and leave
players which have more playtime should get better because skill and more knowledge about the game
why people which only can play on weekends should be excluded to play the game competitive?

Its only good for 24/7 china farmers - so what? How do china farmers hurt you if all they do is farm 24/7?

? the CP system force people to farm and change their playstyle!!! think!!!!

the champion system easy mitigate 50% DMG and give you 50% more DMG !!!!!

PVE will be boring for high CP players or how will you balance this?

the system simple slowly kills the game

Have you looked at the magicka stamina health increase per CP ?
Do you know the impact these stats alone have on all weapons spells and armour without the passive bonuses on top ?

Ask people on PTS how easy all content became as they upped the CP.
Notice that is because you became MUCH MORE POWERFUL vs a known fixed quantity.
How do you balance a system when everyone has different CP.
Do you make it hard for those with 1000CP and impossible for those with 100CP
Do you dumb it down for those who haven't managed 100CP yet and make it godmode for those with 1000CP so they cant even be bothered (with what they perceive to be nerfed content with all that extra power) ?

I don't really have a problem with the way the current Champion System works other than how players obtain Champion Points. The only change that needs to be made, in my opinion, is to shift Champion Point gain to completing objectives: quests, dungeons, trials, and PvP.

The only real problem right now is that people AFK grind 12 hours a day to create such a gap. Move Champion Point gain to actual content and the problem solves itself. Those who play the game the most deserve to be the best, not those who grind the most.

The system would still be flawed.
Given enough time, game population will spread in 1000 or more cp and PVE content will be impossible to balance.

CP system was a shortsighted move from ZOS IMHO.

How would PvE content be hard to balance? You can do all end game trials with less than 100 CP EASILY right now. The only "balance" they would need to do is to add new end game PvE suited for players with more CP. That's it. Players with no CP get the current content, players with lots of CP get harder content.

You cant demand removal of CP just because eventually all content will be too easy.

You should demand harder new PvE content to match your character developement.

Also, you can create challenge by yourself by picking weaker gear, running without some buffs etc. and trying to challenge yourself.

Dont act all suprised when you run something with perfect gear, max stats and suddenly its too easy. Wasnt it what you aimed for? To be so good everything is easy? Or you enjoy struggilng with every raid forever.

There's already a couple of players with 1000 CP. The gap just keeps on growing and growing between these grinders and newbie players. They have no way to catch up, even with ZOS's catch up program.

My suggestion is to get completely rid of the Champion System, BUT compensate the grinders, who have 400 or more CP, with a unique title and mount or something.

Champion System is the cause of imbalance. Listen before it's too late.

So you want ZOS to take away the one reward that the champion system gave us and give us a cheesy mount and title, lol. This has to be the worst thing I ever heard. Honestly the difference between 200 and 300cp is so minimal that it hardly makes a difference. Don't go full-***...

Mmmm, so with 0-200 CP you can do this content.
Next content for people who have, let's say, 200+?

And people with 500+ CP? Will destroy new content in few days and leave the game?

I think you are missing the point.
There isn't any content scaled to CP.
    It all the same content.
So those with no CP will find it hard or those with lots of CP will find it easy (like they do now).

Unless of course the CP impact power is negligible so you would be happy to give them all back and get rid of it ?

sure we should all go naked and all gear progression is for the birds..
champion points are a progression system!!!
should we unlearn all skills or safe points until valid content shows up?
In PvE players need a challenge and in PvP balance - then the feeling of competition will keep players online to go for the leaderboards or the emperor.
your description and solutions show us the broken system perfectly.

I want to do harder and new content. It's an rpg after all, my pg have to feel more powerfull as time goes by.
But what is hard for me and my 200CP is trivial for people with 500+CP.

How can Zenimax deliver a content that feels enagaging for all, given the actual CP system?

The champion system was good. The implementation was absolutely horrible. Too many points letting you go into too many trees. to easy to aquire . they needed a way smaller cap. and each point should have had more of an impact. encouraging you to have to specialized builds. ZOS needs to stick to some of the formats that gave games longevity.

In regards to balancing PvE: How about balancing normal mode around little CP (like 200) and hard mode around current max CP? Everyone not at current max will have a real nice challenge up to "can't do it"-hard (which is what is stipulated by top end PvE crowd).

The only change required to current itemization would be that normal mode will have to reward max level equipment as well, so you need two different sets of item sets.

I am afraid it would still impossible to balance. Too many variables: gear, VR, CP

Soon PVE will be an unmanageable mess IMHO.

That might sound harsh but players with less time should pick MMOs where your progress is not determined by actual time spent in game (most of browser games where resources regenerate over time and you just log in to spent them).

Otherwise they knew what they were signing for. In real time MMO players with more time will always be ahead of players with less time.

It is a nice design for the most part.
The problem is they are removing the vet system because it was an endless grind system no one wanted and replaced it with another UNCAPPED endless grind system that no one wants in its current state for the same reason.
So what problem do they think they solved by going from vet to cs ?

Theres no place for gods in a multiplayer game.

I see from your signature that you are against the removal of stam regen while blocking.

Can I ask you why? This may sound harsh, but if you can't keep up with champion points to have a stamina pool big enough to tank any content, you should think to play other games. May I suggest a browser game? :D

You are trying too hard dear, there is no CP constellation that directly increases max stamina... only stamina regen... which is going to be completly removed during blocking, so no matter if you have 1000CP into stamina regen, it will be 0. Also if you would read the discussion about this change maybe you would see why its a bad idea, and it has nothing to do with CP.... </offtopic>
