We can confirm that Paul left ZOS after the launch of ESOTU on console. He, along with rest of the team, are very happy with how the game is doing and we wish him the best in his future endeavors. ESOTU continues to be in great hands with Gamer Director, Matt Firor and new Creative Director, Rich Lambert, overseeing development. Previously, Rich oversaw all content in the game as Lead Content Designer and worked on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. We’re very excited to have him take on the role as Creative Director!

Thanks for info. We always stay tuned :) Good luck Rich!

So, who's taking Rich's old position of Lead Content Designer? Do we know him/her?
Also, can we expect to see Rich make an appearance in the next ESO live with some ideas he has for the game as the new Creative Director? That would be fantastic.

There are a lot of things we were told at E3 last year that have yet to make an appearance. In fact "phase 1" of the Justice System is the only thing they have managed to add to the game. Really disappointed that literally everything else has been put on the back burner just so they can grab as much cash as possible from the console players.

I think it's the other way round; Gina as assistant community manager is something of a political commissar and her job is to make sure rank and file follow party company line.

EDIT: back to the topic though. Can I have Paul's gear?

Looks like Rich Lambert is now Creative Director after Paul Sage left

    Source: https://www.linkedin.com/in/richlambert

    Awesome.

He was the Lead Content Designer for ESO. His job was to lead the creative development of zones, dungeons, trials, etc.
There was some hubub going between ZOS and Bethsoft. Pete Hines being there was a certain indicator that things didn't go according to plan

Don't read more into Pete Hines being there than might be the case. Pete Hines is the spokesman for the publisher and it is part of his job to be there for major announcements like Tamriel Unlimited. I would have been more concerned if he had phoned it in, not showed up, or delegated to an underling.

Paul Sage might be someone who likes to move around. He was not with ESO to start, but came in mid-development. He may be the type that likes to have a big job to do and really does not like diving into the endless fine tuning. I have worked with people like this.

I am wondering who was Creative Director before him.

Well I found he was there to put the player minds at ease that Bethsoft/ZOS/THE MARKETING still believes in their product, and to back Matt Firor and Paul Sage up. Even though I could have read something into it, it struck me as a bit heavy handed... But maybe its just my paranoid mind... :P

They are absolutely the lowest ranking people in any mmo operation (with the possible exception of CS agents and QA testers).

Their job is to be a liaison between DEVS and player community and to keep the PLAYERS in line on the forums.
