GAME CRASHING HAS RETURNED :(

    Are you using the Win 8.1 firewall or are you running a third party anti-malware suite? Most of the login problems I've had in the past was with my firewall (Zonealarm).     It seems to me it's a problem on ZOS's end, because as you've pointed out, my hardware is more than sufficient to run the game. As with everyone else's hardware here. I practically wiped my hard drive and freshly installed new OS with the new graphics card and fresh install of the game and am still having this problem. Other then that and Norton I don't have any other software currently installed on my system at the moment. There should be no reason why I would have any issues with the game coming from my end. I'll try the firewall thing though, why not, thanks. :)

    2 firewalls usually conflict at some point, might shut down one of them to see if things improve.

    Norton disables the Windows firewall when it installs. Most third party firewalls do that nowadays.

    @Saelavee, you shouldn't have to modify the default Windows firewall settings for ESO.

    Welp, it looks like the latest PC patch has made things much worse, not better. Took me 3 tries just to log in, "accept" page for new terms broken (luckily I figured out how to get through it without being able to see the text or buttons). Now, getting patch manifest errors and can't even launch.

    Validating now.

    Nice going Zenimax. I guess now that all attention is being paid to the console gamers, we're just going to get the tail end of any service...

    Game crashes to login. Can play for 2 hours during non-peak time (0800 PST); 30 min or so on average during peak.
    I came back to play after a good 10 months, hoping a fix was in.

    Zenimax is failing the people that paid for the PC version. I have a Collectors Imperial For Sale if anyone is interested.

    The last patch (2.11) has broken the game for me. AGAIN. I had two happy months with the game running properly (well as good as it can), but now... I log in to another character - crash. I use Wayshrine - crash. I'm running through a city - crash again. Sometimes it happens randomly though. Today I had to log in for 9 times just to feed the horses for three characters. And to the top of it - I've got terrible lags everywhere while I wasn't experiencing any before 2.11. I have not changed anything in my computer or the game settings at all. Launcher doesn't see the patchmanifest and I had to reinstall the game hoping the issues will be fixed. Still the game continues going crazy and I obviously have nothing to do with that from my side.
    So I'll have another absolutely ruined gaming month, like it was after 1.6? Oh god.
    I really hope the fix will be provided shortly. I perfectly understand the policy of providing new crown store updates, but they shouldn't ruin the game experience in general.

    I'm still crashing regularly. I've implemented all of the official customer care recommended changes and tried several of the player suggestions. I never crashed with this game when I played a year ago; now it's constant. A few times a day each day this past week. So, now, when I crash, I just walk away from the game and play something else until I get interested in ESO later that day or the following day.

    It's unbelievable to me that the game is far less stable now than a year ago. Really a shame.

    This is exactly what has been happening to me. It kicks me out and completely reboots. The whole OS goes down without a bit of lag or anything. Then i get a patch error and repair report.
    Sometimes when i can get 30mins or so of game time in and i exit i get a "ESO has suddenly stopped working" error message. Sometime even after i repair it, it will tell me i still need to repair.

    This started so often i decided to send my PC in for repairs because i figured it surely had to be on my end. But i got my PC back exactly a week ago and this crap starts up again. So i know for sure its not me. I can run any other game on my PC and it does fine.

    I took notice when it didn't completely crash my OS and i was able to open up my Task Manager and see what was going on and the game was black screened, could still hear everything going on in the Siege through the Middle of Cyrodiil. But i would go to my task manager and the game showed it was operating just fine. I pulled up my Aegis and saw all my heat levels were fine along with wattage to see if i was losing power.

    I'm disappointed that the core of this game hasn't been fixed for all these others. I have not been experiencing this until about 2 months ago. If i was experiencing this before this point i would have quit playing the game all together. I love the Elder Scrolls series and story line but this something that need to be adressed Zenimax. I hope your not just turning a blind eye to the few that are here using Your Support Forum and are taking a real look into this.

    I am also having random crashes and the repair message. Repairing does no good. Closing and opening the client again dismisses the error. At least I am getting a coupe of hours of good game play between crashes.

    Restart, play for 5-10 minutes, "eso has quit unexpectedly"

    Repeat until so frustrated I stop entirely and play Civ.

    I dont even know what to do anymore. Youd think with a nearly 10 page thread about this, among other threads, they would start taking this seriously.

    What the hell am I supposed to do? Ive been here for over a year and a half, since October beta weekend, this is the worst the game has EVER performed. I used to be able to play 4-6 hours+ without a crash. Ever since ESOTU the crashes/disconnects have come 60 minutes, 30 minutes, 10 minutes, now 5 minutes apart.

    Every month the problem doubles.

    My game crashing while trying to load into the character select screen. I had no problem before this latest patch. I am unable to play the game it will not start.

    I'm experiencing the EXACT same problem like you described, every single thing.

    As it is right now, the game is completely unplayable.

    I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I have no problem at all logging into the game, the load screens are not super long and I can sometimes play as much as five minutes before the game crashes.

    Just another in a series of patches that breaks more than it fixes, and the fixes were/are usually only cosmetic anyway.

    Going back a little despite numerous assurances that my issue (have to use OPENGL instead of D3D11 since 1.6) was a op priority that hasn't been addressed at all. I guess because I and others could still play it just looked really bad.

    Maybe will have better luck in getting a fix this time as I can't play the game at all now and if I can't play I can't buy crap from the crown store.

    The same. I had installed patch 12 tonight and the game crashed four times in four minutes. Unable to play more of 5-10 seconds.
    I used play TESO for hours without an issue, but since ESOTU, the game crash continuously, and is getting worse with every patch.
    This is a mess...

    By the way, did anyone notice that the usersettings file (PC) also contains a lot of console command lines since update 6 (and previously on PTS)?

    Also, some other lines were changed, f.e. the previous line "SET CacheDataPath "machine:/Cache/"" got renamed to "SET CacheDataPath "machine:/Cache2/"" with update 6 and about 2 weeks later, I finally figured out the endless loading screens (or others that took around 30 minutes!) were caused by this additional "2"! I deleted it and the loading screen issue was solved.

    Interesting fact, isn't it?

    I can play the game so far so good except one dungeon: Ossuary Crypt (Quest: The Unquiet Dead). I can't enter it. Everytime I try, I get a loading screen. After that I get directly thrown into the login screen with the message: An error occured. Please try again in a few minutes. I don't even know what the problem is...

    Crashing started for me a little over three months ago also with ESOTU (See my first post, most likely on page one or two of this thread) where I mentioned I had discontinued my subscription and still, it was the best decision in my case.

    I have wondered since then if possibly the developers now know that they made the wrong decision in the engine they selected and cannot do anything about it without major expense and it's less costly for them to let us complain then eventually quit playing then to fix it. The longer this goes, the more it damages the reputation for me of their other future products. Strictly an opinion.

    Regardless, I feel for all the others out there who want this game to work, but for me, I may return to SkyRim even though I thoroughly enjoy PvP, considering how bad of a fighter I am.

    Ugh. I only just got my whole system back up (moved, took forever for ISP to get their sweetrolls together) and I'm downloading the patch now. Not encouraging...

    As a matter of fact, after ESO continued to crash today (since yesterday's patch), I actually WAS trying to launch Skyrim, after a loong break. Until I noticed that Steam has completely messed up all 100+ mods and with it my savegame. After trying to get it fixed for hours, I still can't launch it, all mods remain unsubscribable. So until ESO is not fixed either, no Elder Scrolls for me (I don't want to launch Morrowind or Oblivion at the moment).

    Just cancelled my subscription.

    2.12 is way worse than last patch, I can't play for more than 10 minutes without crash. This morning I've submit 6.

    Dual core, nVidia 690, 4 Gigs RAM, Win 7 32-bit.

    Whatever happens on the next patch will make me decide if I will keep playing this excellent game. It was very good pre 1.6/2.0.

    Zenimax, guys - this is outrageous. You are kicking hard-core fans who paid for the original TES: Arena.

    Get your things straight. I can't afford better PC right now.

    Folks, this latest patch is a fscking DISASTER. Crashing for no reason; crashed when I used a Crown Store riding training scroll (so lost 2 of them that were "processing", crashing when sprinting on a mount, crashing when mounting, crashing for no apparent reason at all.

    It just gets worse and worse.

    It let me play just long enough to get the freaking Frost Mount at the Crown Store. Now please actually take some of the money, get some more devs, and fix the game already.

    We do see that you have a support ticket open for this issue. Would you please be able to reply back to it with a Game Consultant and an msinfo report? This can provide our agents some more information regarding what could be causing your system to crash.

    For any other players who have not yet submitted a ticket, please be sure to do so. We currently have several open threads regarding crashes, but they can be caused by different things for different players. We understand how frustrating this issue is, but our agents need to see what your system specs are to be able to narrow down the causes of these issues.
