I PUG every day as a healer (V14) and we don't need longer than 15-20 minutes, depending on the dungeon. Dungeons are incredibly easy when everyone knows what to do. Some dungeons don't even need a tank, or a healer off-tanking is enough.

I love healing in dungeons, especially on my Orc Nightblade (lol) as with my Templar it's just too easy.

But the group finder is broken, I'll give you that.

Is it hard to heal on console?

When you recieved your first quest for a dungoen (banish, fungal, spindle) you are underlevel. The quest (think console is the same as pc) is orange or yellow. That means it will be hard or very hard for your lvl. but everyone want to run because there is a quest, just wait until the quest is green and it is much easier.

The quest level doesn't matter, the dungeon scales to the level of the party leader... or the first one to enter. I forget which but it scales the level of the dungeon so quest level does not determine the dungeons difficulty, and besides, sure you get the first quest for FG early, by the time you make your way there to the other side of Stonefalls it will be a lower quest level if you really are concerned about the quest level.

Group finder is horrible. At least at PC launch is asked like the product of a high school intern.

As far as npc hitting to hard. Learn to move and block. Combat in this game has a high degree is personal responsibility for survival. the healer is secondary to your survival.

As for tanks not tanking, at the low level you mention they have few tools like it would be in any game or it could be they don't know how to select roles.

Well, I just retried my first ever dungeon and it worked a lot better
And I'm the Healer :L I managed a lot better this time, turns out potions are necessarry for mana at points
Also the final boss kept healing up and none of my team-mates noticed the Blue Orbs zoning in towards him, so I healed and destroyed them and he went down
Guess it's new to me how much it takes for an enemy to go down as you can't just pure heal, you DPS too which is something I've never done before
I'll admit with a good group of four it was a lot of fun, guess my first group just majorly sucked haha

Now that you have downed this dungeon the other two faction's dungeon at this level have been opened up to you. While you can't wayshrine into the zone they are in you CAN wayshrine directly into the dungeon. They are Fungal Grotto and Spindleclutch. To wayshrine to them simply choice the Tamiral location from the wayshrine menu and find them or you can go to the zone directly. Fungal is in Stonefalls, Spindle is in Glenumbra. This is true for every new arae you get to so when you are able to do Elden Hollow you can do Wayrest Sewers and Darkshade Caverns and so on.

Also, I suppose I've come to expect all dungeons to be like WoW
And when they're different and require some actual co-operation, skill, and work it confuses me? Oh well, now I know what to expect I'll not complain about it :)
They're not badly designed, they're just a hell of a lot harder than the average MMO dungeon
Dreading what a raid'll be like haha

As someone who has done the Trials (ESO raids) on some of the bosses if you don't do a certain mechanic right everyone dies. You miss a block, don't roll at the right time anything hell sometimes even when you do it right you get killed. Simply because you were just short the needed HP when the boss did it's big attack

Actually it does while the dungeon DO scale to party leader there IS a lower limit. For BC I think level 10 is as low as it will go, whereas Veteran City of Ash, Vet 14 is as low as it will go.

I guess you are playing on console?

Well, if you go in with random noobs it will be ALWAYS a disaster no matter what Online game you are playing.

Its a l2p issue. not because dungeons are bad

And I am still afraid they will lower the difficulty levels of dungeons because of console. (Reaction time etc is just crap on console)

On PC, dungeons are already far too easy, but that mainly also due to Championpoints and people playing same content for like 8 Months thanks to console.

I just hope they create a difficulty level for console and one for PC. Or the game will go to crap 100%

Yup. Its Consoles fault they went a year without the game they were promised. Its also Consoles fault Zenimax didnt give you any new Content. Its definitely not ZOS's fault. Lets keep blaming each other rather then those who are really at fault.

They are a lot of fun. The mechanics get a bit more involved as you go up the tiers, and then they really ramp up in the Vet versions of the dungeons that have Vet versions.

For normal dungeons, you can pretty much go in with any group that has half a clue. For vet dungeons, there is a big difference between the "right" group and the "wrong" group and it's important for people to know the mechanics.

I actually like taking people through dungeons the first time (or their first time in a new role).

I've done Banished Cells a number of times, the last of which, our group of guildies didn't have a tank character in the alliance that we were currently in, so we went in without a tank and I unlocked the Agony skill on my NB to stun the "tankable" mobs in each pull and it actually worked quite well.

I think my favourite normal dungeons are Blessed Crucible (Tier 5 - The Rift) and Vaults of Madness (Coldharbour). I really really want there to be a vet version of Vaults of Madness...

Work on getting elemental drain as soon as possible. Or if you are playing with regular groupmates, make sure one of them does and applies it to the boss. It will return majicka.

I can tell you straight off...this is a [snip] issue. ESO dungeons are tremendous fun, but they are NOT WoW-style dungeons. At low levels, a tank isn't needed, and even experienced players could succeed in them with minimal heals.

Figure out how to play dungeons...and one good player that knows the dungeons and how to play (i.e., to block, dodge, etc...) can pretty much carry a lowbie team. Tanking and healing in ESO is not like WoW or its clones, and imho ESO is more fun - not better, because you'd be comparing apples and cars, just more fun (to me).

Having said that, the dungeon finder needs improvement, and frankly could benefit from a larger cross-faction pool of players. I think ESO could benefit from copying WoW's dungeon finder.
