I support this as well. Not everyone who games regularly checks their email. I have a close bud who won't be playing on PS4 becuase he missed the email.
There's no good reason why transfers can't be offered as a paid service...indefinately. If you own both copies of the game then why wouldn't ZoS want to make money offering this service? Other games do this.
I say at the very least, for those that missed the cutoff, they should be able to to get transfers but just have them buy the game on console first. Besides, thats all we got, a free copy of the console version. The 20 was to pay for the transfer only.

Maybe next time check your email? Or the various media platforms such as the official website, game launcher, forums, twitter, reddit? I have a hard time understanding how you could miss this one.
Oh well, less V14s for me to compete with come June 9th.
Greetings,
You are eligible for The Elder Scrolls® Online: Tamriel Unlimited™ for Console with account copy. You will find it on sale for pre-purchase for £ 12.99 at account.elderscrollsonline.com/store when logged in using your eligible The Elder Scrolls Online account on April 9, 2015.
This special offer to pre-purchase a digital copy of an Xbox One and/or PlayStation 4 version of the game, will only be available on the store for 30 (thirty) days. After the 30-day period, you will no longer be able to purchase this special digital copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for console or copy your PC/Mac account to console in any other way.
Please note that if you take part in this offer, your character and account details will not be copied immediately upon pre-purchasing The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for Console with account copy. Keep an eye on your email for more information on the account copy process as well as your digital game code. For more information on eligibility requirements, transfer restrictions, and redemption instructions please visit help.elderscrollsonline.com.
Now if you read the email they sent, it plainly says TWICE that you have 30 days from Apr 9th and gives a link if you need more info
Unless you never recieved the email that said you were eligible, in which case it's just trying to argue the point with them but missing it after receiving the email .. your fault not theirs
They'll bring this back and add to the store, it's too much of a cash builder to leave permanently, another thing for people to spend their crowns on.
I think some of you has learned about "transfer" only from recently forum's rant posts.
You just take a look on forums one month before console release, and SUDDENLY you missed transfer's deadline.
It's literally a theatre of tragedy.

People are angry because they missed the chance to faceroll the lowlevels and be one of the richest players of the server.
Sorry but have a happy lvl1!

I had no idea about these forums. On May 12th my buddy and i were talking about when the console download will be available. On May 13th googled what the download and transfer would entail and that's when i stumbled upon this promotional period.

Well let me enlighten you... I have received no email at all regarding the transfer. I don't have facebook or twitter or any other social media. I played the hell outta ESO till about November 2014. ESO was suppose to launch during the holidays... but brace yourself... It was delayed AGAIN. My friends are on console. I went back to my comfort zone.
When i am not spending my time at work or with my wife and kids... i play my xbox on my downtime. I don't go through news feeds and etc. I am into the game i am playing at the moment. As i stated in a previous post. I am not immersed in the gaming world as others are. And that's okay.
People are posting in hopes that ZoS will reconsider. But apparently you have the same attitude as ZoS... and that's saying oh well. Which by the way is completely inconsiderate and unprofessional.
yet onemook you find the time to come to the forums to complain. It is called a deadline for a reason, be an adult and realize they probably made the deadline because they scheduled that time to be able to transfer everyone's account over to console. Which I'm sure is not an easy task especially when you consider the number of people who did this. And you have to fit in the transfer time with working out any bugs from transfer etc etc etc.
Suck it up and realize you missed the cut off for whatever reason and get over it.

Honest question...did you register because of the upcoming console or have you purchased a PC or Steam box?
I assume you purchase a PC box last year because of the topic.
Did you overlook the email that welcomed you to the forums last year?
I have the xbox version linked to my account from the beta and I am sure it said it was a transfer also although I am not sure
Either way I can see both pc and xbox on my account info does that mean I'm covered for the character transfer? Because to be honest I also never saw the transfer deadline date and details and I'm always keeping track of eso : (
I really need to be able to copy my characters mainly for my collections.

Happy level 1?...Immature attitude... not surprised.
Some of my friends aren't as privileged to upgrade or buy a new CPU just to play ESO. My friends and I are console gamers. I want to help my friends level up and progress through the game... Not looking to become an entrepreneur.
The funny thing about this whole thread, and other threads pertaining to this matter, is that there is probably 20 or more valid reasons and arguments supporting why there shouldn't have been a transfer period at all. And pretty much the only thing the opposing opinions are saying is they advertised and you missed it... oh well.

I'm with this thinking...although many will argue $60+$20 or whatever the account copy cost is, would need to still only be available to those who qualify but missed the 30 day account copy.
Then again, if you're not offering it for everyone, just don't offer it at all since the cut-off was missed.

I'd just offer it to anyone. More money for ZoS = good for all platforms.

It's actually not more money at all.
This is why there was an "offer" with an expiration vs a paid service for anyone.
The game is $60 and those who qualified paid at least $60 + any sub fees and crown or ESO plus up until April of this year and then another $20
For me I paid over $300 so far. I'm sure there are some who never subbed but the point is that it was an offer and not a paid service.
Offering this as a paid service complicates things and wouldn't be available to everyone as Steam sales started after the June 3014 cut off. To offer this as a paid service to everyone then creates or devalues those who jumped onto the offer in early 2014. It would seemingly either not be available or be available at different prices for Steam and non-steam customers.
If anything, assuming ppl don't cry pay-to-win, they could roll out the exp pots that were data mined but offering a paid character transfer is at best a terrible idea until 2016

Enticing people to re-buy the game in order to play it on another platform, then an additional 20 bucks for the transfer...how is that NOT more money. Seems like another 80 bucks in ZoS pocket to me. Like someone mentioned earlier, I am sure there's a crowd of folks that wouldn't so much mind the expense, but they just "don't want to start over".
Bear in mind, i am not talkign about Day 1 transfers. That matter is already settled, but this should be a service offered after it is launched. Maybe month 2.
