Ok, someone of reason has to step in....

    Please stop blindly supporting ZOS.

I didn't get the email because emails from ZOS are hit and miss with Comcast. They don't play nice together and ZOS admitted it. In fact, I had to transfer email accounts just so I could log into the game. There are others that have the same problem.

There are others who don't read the forums because they are full of vitriol. If they didn't get the email and they don't read the forums, they would not know because ZOS did not really advertise this other than their own forms of communication.

I don't have a PS4 and I don't want a transfer. I'm just pointing out that there are reasons that people could have missed the deadline.

ZOS should do free transfers for everyone who own both games. Only now, people have to pay full price for the game. I don't think they should get it at the 20.00 cost. That deadline is gone but the transfers should never be gone.

I am sorry that people missed this but there was a lot different ways people could of gotten this information and not using the obvious sources of news is basically the players fault for not staying current with the news. I use the forums, twitter, even some times facebook, also ESO live and they release important information that does not have to be a huge announcement to be on the main page. These in bold are the most direct way to get the information. There are a lot reasons people could of miss the deadline but if they miss it because they chose not use the direct sources. It is there fault.

It's funny how these threads are cropping up now. A month or so ago, people were throwing a fit when crown store items were announced in game, and the reasoning was that Facebook/Twitter/Email/etc would suffice to notify people. Now we all get to see what happens when people who play the game don't see something in-game.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was offered in the future, but there was a lot of notice for anyone who was truly interested in this.

WILL THERE BE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE THE TRANSFER FROM PC/MAC TO CONSOLE?
    Updated 05/21/2015 01:42 PM Published 05/20/2015 03:54 PM
The console transfer was a special offer for eligible players and was available for a period of 30 days, starting on April 9, 2015 and ending on May 9, 2015. There will not be another opportunity to purchase the transfer.

I am in complete disbelief on how unprofessional and inconsiderate ZoS is being with this whole account transfer.

I also missed the deadline by 4 days and didn't know anything about it. I received absolutely no emails regarding this promotion. And no... i'm not all over the news feeds... If i like a game or hear good things about it... i just get it.

I upgraded my PC in April 2014 for the release and played in preparation for the console release. I am strictly a console (Xbox) gamer. I only bought the PC game to enjoy and support elderscrolls. After clocking in 800+ hours and reaching Veteran 12, I went back to playing console since i felt there wasn't much to do and all my buddies are on console. On May 13th i was curious about when the download will be available and that's when i stumbled upon this expired promotion.

Then i said to myself and ZoS, how dare you put a promotion period on a game that you are releasing a year later than initially intended. What if i was in the military over seas, sickly, moving, etc... ZoS basically doesn't care and basically says oh well.

Also... Like i said above... i received no email concerning this promotion and i checked my spam folder as well... the only email i have received was the beta invite... So what does that mean... ZoS will make sure gamers receive an email to test and boost their console sales, but not care about making sure the emails were received about the account transfer.

And think about this further... This is only a handful of people that know they are screwed. What happens on release? Just as others have said and i thought... other gamers will be expecting the account transfer would have been a simple account recovery upon release. And now those guys are screwed because they can't return a game they digitally downloaded or they'll be getting half the value back if they trade into places like GameStop.

If the discounted price can't be honored.. i can live with that. Not being able to recover an account that i vested so many hours into is ridulous.

Making one or two people happy isn't worth the false-advertising lawsuit that would inevitably follow.

A company can always amend or extend a promotion. That doesn't make it false advertisement.

When xbox one was announced... they advertised that it was to be always connected to be able to play. They obviously reversed that intention. That wasn't false advertising... that was stupidity that aggravated a lot of gamers debating which console to invest in.

I am not even sure why anyone would defend ZoS on this. I was out of the country for over a month on business and didn't check my email. All it really means to me and everyone else is I am not going to buy the game on console which in turn means a smaller player base on that console. So defend them if you want but in the long run your just hurting yourself and the player base.

A free transfer is a VERY unreasonable request... A for pay transfer (not copy) should be offered, I agree with that.
[snip] I'm just pointing out that there are reasons that people could have missed the deadline.

ZOS should not have to make concessions for individuals that failed to pay attention. It's not ZOS' fault that these people missed all the information that was available to them. What more should have ZOS done to try to let them know that the Account Copy purchase was available? Called everyone individually? Sent a singing telegram? If people cared, they would have been paying attention. That's what those of us that actually got the Account Copy did... we paid attention.

I feel like I made these same arguments when people were whining about the 300 day requirement for the Senche Tiger.... and ZOS relaxed on that big time... so keep it up everyone.

If you complain loud enough and long enough they MIGHT appease you, but it's not guaranteed to work. Lord knows it didn't work on the 100Crown/Month issue I was vehemently outspoken about. :hushed:

    ☆Look i hope this helps

Here are some things to consider:

I left eso ages ago and only came back because of the transfer.
I heard about it on IGN and noticed it was everywhere so i checked my emails and went ahead with this.

1.It was everywhere from ESO live,Facebook,Twitter, youtube gamer news providers like machines and force, emailed and my favorite morning read ign news but most gaming sites provided this information.

    2. It was on for a month

    3. I do agree it should come back again at some point but i also want people to consider why it may not.
Ever wondered why such a small base got offered?, not only is it because of the delay and and starters but ever considered that they cannot close down the pc mega server. So they cannot afford to reduce the population too far and make it even more of a ghost town and scare off other new pc players in the future.

    4. You can still buy the game for consoles the normal way and go ahead and play if you wish to with friends on consoles or just wait if you are looking to use a controller it is comming to the pc version soon.

This should put an end to this debate with any luck sorry guys and gals. :(

Srsly lol should i complain because work got in the way of me getting a limited time offer senche mount.

Nooo and i am fine with it

This was adequately advertised. Over multiple social media platforms. In various ways. If you were incapable of keeping up with it, that is is absolutely your problem, and has nothing to do with ZOS in any way, because the fact that people were capable of obtaining a transfer, and are doing so, shows that ZOS got the word out, and that you are doing nothing more then whining because you didn't get your 'new toy'. I'm purchasing the console version for its full price, before one of you accuse me of hating for no reason. So, aside from the maybe 5% of you who actually have a valid reason(were in the hospital, in a coma, credit card theft/no way of purchasing, etc) please cease this whining. The transferred players with their good gear and -likely- hefty supplies of gold will already dominate and unbalance the console servers for a while as it is.

i don't mean to sound like a ***, and i'm not bashing, just stating a fact; but theres already plenty of these threads, the point has been made, ZOS has already made it abundantly clear they will not be reopening the transfer with only the legal terms, stating "After the 30-day period, you will no longer be able to purchase this special digital copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for console or copy your PC/Mac account to console in any other way."Rather then wasting yours, and the people reading the thread's, time, try instead to make a good post people actually care about, such as an amazing/necessary idea or addition to improve the game, rather then whining about something which is already done and over with.

....Although most of said whining occurred over a week ago, i keep seeing all these threads and just really felt the need to express this. q.q

Someone made a comment about life intervenes
Sometimes life intervenes and you miss a date, then you get no chance to follow through. Please ZOS bring back the PC>Console Transfers, or at least make them permanent option for those who were with the PC version from day 1...

How can anyone argue this? When i'm not at work or spending time with my family... i jump on my xbox. I immediately play the game i'm into at the moment. i don't use my downtime to search news feeds or search my emails in hopes that ZoS will notify me. Just like others thought... The transfer should have just been available at release. There should not have been a promotional period.

Some people immerse themselves around what's going on in the gaming world... and that's okay... But those gamers shouldn't be criticizing those who aren't. And let's face it... People that played the hell out of the game from April 2014 and patiently waited for the console release to get delayed, and delayed, and delayed... the game lost it's luster and gamers like myself took a break to go to their more comfort zone (consoles in my case). And now that the release is near... some got that spark of interest back... only to be doused by ZoS saying too late.

Mostly because of the highlighted portion.

This situation was easily avoided by anyone with an internet connection at any time during the month that the offer was available.

I agree they should bring it back, and have a ticket in the system.

I also just canceled my account over this. I'll reinstate once they find a way to transfer. I don't mind even having to pay full price for two copies of the game, I just want my guys transferred over (more importantly my character names so I don't lose them) and missed the window due to RL. Some of us work jobs that don't allow us to play regularly for months at a time, I know I was AWOL for about 2 months this time.

I don't care about a great sale... I care about availability. I actually go my butcher often as a matter of fact. And if i was waiting for a particular meat... He contacts me... That's called customer service. He does not just put a sale sign in the window figuring the whole community will spread the word.

This is my account... your account... others account. I should be able to do what i want with it. If i want to transfer my bank account from Chase to Citibank... that's my business... If there is a penalty or fee, then so be it. I'm not asking for it to be for free. It should be available to us.

Making one or two people happy isn't worth the false-advertising lawsuit that would inevitably follow.

Here's just one item concerning your false advertising theory:

    Read the responses from ESO.

ESO stated that anyone who signed up before June 30th, 2014 will be able to transfer their account. Doesn't say 4/9/15 to 5/9/15. Doesn't say on a full moon or high tide on a Thursday. Is this false advertising? I'm sure i can go through many searches on ZoS "false advertising" their initial intent. But I am not.

These are our accounts and we put a lot of effort and time into these accounts. All we want is for ZoS to make it available.

I stopped playing and STILL checked to see if any news on the console front, I got their email and READ it and saw the cutoff date etc so took advantage of it.

I can imagine them putting it on the store at a later date and higher cost, the higher cost because if they put it too cheap, they then insult those who took them up on the offer.
ZoS please understand everyone thinks and pronounces things differently, so please add to your 'rules' that things get removed if the Mod doesn't actually quite understand phrasing

I checked my email and spam folder. I received absolutely no notice. I don't go around new feeds. I took a break from the game when i got to Veteran 12 to get back with all the friends i have and made on console. So i didn't receive or see any alert.

Please note that if you take part in this offer, your character and account details will not be copied immediately upon pre-purchasing The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for Console with account copy. Keep an eye on your email for more information on the account copy process as well as your digital game code. For more information on eligibility requirements, transfer restrictions, and redemption instructions please visit help.elderscrollsonline.com.
Now if you read the email they sent, it plainly says TWICE that you have 30 days from Apr 9th and gives a link if you need more info

Unless you never recieved the email that said you were eligible, in which case it's just trying to argue the point with them but missing it after receiving the email .. your fault not theirs
ZoS please understand everyone thinks and pronounces things differently, so please add to your 'rules' that things get removed if the Mod doesn't actually quite understand phrasing

I think some of you has learned about "transfer" only from recently forum's rant posts.
You just take a look on forums one month before console release, and SUDDENLY you missed transfer's deadline.

It's literally a theatre of tragedy.

I support this as well. Not everyone who games regularly checks their email. I have a close bud who won't be playing on PS4 becuase he missed the email.

There's no good reason why transfers can't be offered as a paid service...indefinately. If you own both copies of the game then why wouldn't ZoS want to make money offering this service? Other games do this.

I say at the very least, for those that missed the cutoff, they should be able to to get transfers but just have them buy the game on console first. Besides, thats all we got, a free copy of the console version. The 20 was to pay for the transfer only.
