I didn't get the email because emails from ZOS are hit and miss with Comcast. They don't play nice together and ZOS admitted it. In fact, I had to transfer email accounts just so I could log into the game. There are others that have the same problem.
There are others who don't read the forums because they are full of vitriol. If they didn't get the email and they don't read the forums, they would not know because ZOS did not really advertise this other than their own forms of communication.
I don't have a PS4 and I don't want a transfer. I'm just pointing out that there are reasons that people could have missed the deadline.
ZOS should do free transfers for everyone who own both games. Only now, people have to pay full price for the game. I don't think they should get it at the 20.00 cost. That deadline is gone but the transfers should never be gone.
The eligibility email constitutes a legally-binding terms agreement on the $20 special offer. They're not going to breach their own terms ("After the 30-day period, you will no longer be able to purchase this special digital copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for console or copy your PC/Mac account to console in any other way.").
That "or" is pretty important. That means neither is going to happen again.
Making one or two people happy isn't worth the false-advertising lawsuit that would inevitably follow.

A free transfer is a VERY unreasonable request... A for pay transfer (not copy) should be offered, I agree with that.Sevalaricgirl wrote: »[snip] I'm just pointing out that there are reasons that people could have missed the deadline.
ZOS should not have to make concessions for individuals that failed to pay attention. It's not ZOS' fault that these people missed all the information that was available to them. What more should have ZOS done to try to let them know that the Account Copy purchase was available? Called everyone individually? Sent a singing telegram? If people cared, they would have been paying attention. That's what those of us that actually got the Account Copy did... we paid attention.
I feel like I made these same arguments when people were whining about the 300 day requirement for the Senche Tiger.... and ZOS relaxed on that big time... so keep it up everyone.
If you complain loud enough and long enough they MIGHT appease you, but it's not guaranteed to work. Lord knows it didn't work on the 100Crown/Month issue I was vehemently outspoken about.
☆Look i hope this helps
Here are some things to consider:
I left eso ages ago and only came back because of the transfer.
I heard about it on IGN and noticed it was everywhere so i checked my emails and went ahead with this.
1.It was everywhere from ESO live,Facebook,Twitter, youtube gamer news providers like machines and force, emailed and my favorite morning read ign news but most gaming sites provided this information.
2. It was on for a month
3. I do agree it should come back again at some point but i also want people to consider why it may not.
Ever wondered why such a small base got offered?, not only is it because of the delay and and starters but ever considered that they cannot close down the pc mega server. So they cannot afford to reduce the population too far and make it even more of a ghost town and scare off other new pc players in the future.
4. You can still buy the game for consoles the normal way and go ahead and play if you wish to with friends on consoles or just wait if you are looking to use a controller it is comming to the pc version soon.
This should put an end to this debate with any luck sorry guys and gals.
I look forward to seein you guise ingame>o

I am not even sure why anyone would defend ZoS on this. I was out of the country for over a month on business and didn't check my email. All it really means to me and everyone else is I am not going to buy the game on console which in turn means a smaller player base on that console. So defend them if you want but in the long run your just hurting yourself and the player base.

How can anyone argue this? When i'm not at work or spending time with my family... i jump on my xbox. I immediately play the game i'm into at the moment. i don't use my downtime to search news feeds or search my emails in hopes that ZoS will notify me. Just like others thought... The transfer should have just been available at release. There should not have been a promotional period.
Some people immerse themselves around what's going on in the gaming world... and that's okay... But those gamers shouldn't be criticizing those who aren't. And let's face it... People that played the hell out of the game from April 2014 and patiently waited for the console release to get delayed, and delayed, and delayed... the game lost it's luster and gamers like myself took a break to go to their more comfort zone (consoles in my case). And now that the release is near... some got that spark of interest back... only to be doused by ZoS saying too late.

So I expect to see you at the grocery store arguing you missed out of a great sale on Rib Eye because you felt like eating at McD's that week and should under stand all of us don't always go shopping in stores.

HA! good point @bigM but to be an equivalent experience that Rib Eye would have to never, ever be available again... well, not unless the butcher wants it to be available.

I stopped playing and STILL checked to see if any news on the console front, I got their email and READ it and saw the cutoff date etc so took advantage of it.
I can imagine them putting it on the store at a later date and higher cost, the higher cost because if they put it too cheap, they then insult those who took them up on the offer.
I can live with missing the $20 promotion... It's the 800+ hours and the months spent on the game that hurts.
I support this as well. Not everyone who games regularly checks their email. I have a close bud who won't be playing on PS4 becuase he missed the email.
There's no good reason why transfers can't be offered as a paid service...indefinately. If you own both copies of the game then why wouldn't ZoS want to make money offering this service? Other games do this.
I say at the very least, for those that missed the cutoff, they should be able to to get transfers but just have them buy the game on console first. Besides, thats all we got, a free copy of the console version. The 20 was to pay for the transfer only.
