I say at the very least, for those that missed the cutoff, they should be able to to get transfers but just have them buy the game on console first. Besides, thats all we got, a free copy of the console version. The 20 was to pay for the transfer only.

I'm with this thinking...although many will argue $60+$20 or whatever the account copy cost is, would need to still only be available to those who qualify but missed the 30 day account copy.

Then again, if you're not offering it for everyone, just don't offer it at all since the cut-off was missed.

    Sorry, the cutoff is gone.

Maybe next time check your email? Or the various media platforms such as the official website, game launcher, forums, twitter, reddit? I have a hard time understanding how you could miss this one.

Oh well, less V14s for me to compete with come June 9th.

Well let me enlighten you... I have received no email at all regarding the transfer. I don't have facebook or twitter or any other social media. I played the hell outta ESO till about November 2014. ESO was suppose to launch during the holidays... but brace yourself... It was delayed AGAIN. My friends are on console. I went back to my comfort zone.

When i am not spending my time at work or with my wife and kids... i play my xbox on my downtime. I don't go through news feeds and etc. I am into the game i am playing at the moment. As i stated in a previous post. I am not immersed in the gaming world as others are. And that's okay.

People are posting in hopes that ZoS will reconsider. But apparently you have the same attitude as ZoS... and that's saying oh well. Which by the way is completely inconsiderate and unprofessional.

    Greetings,

You are eligible for The Elder Scrolls® Online: Tamriel Unlimited™ for Console with account copy. You will find it on sale for pre-purchase for £ 12.99 at account.elderscrollsonline.com/store when logged in using your eligible The Elder Scrolls Online account on April 9, 2015.

This special offer to pre-purchase a digital copy of an Xbox One and/or PlayStation 4 version of the game, will only be available on the store for 30 (thirty) days. After the 30-day period, you will no longer be able to purchase this special digital copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for console or copy your PC/Mac account to console in any other way.

Please note that if you take part in this offer, your character and account details will not be copied immediately upon pre-purchasing The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for Console with account copy. Keep an eye on your email for more information on the account copy process as well as your digital game code. For more information on eligibility requirements, transfer restrictions, and redemption instructions please visit help.elderscrollsonline.com.
Now if you read the email they sent, it plainly says TWICE that you have 30 days from Apr 9th and gives a link if you need more info

Unless you never recieved the email that said you were eligible, in which case it's just trying to argue the point with them but missing it after receiving the email .. your fault not theirs

i checked all my emails and spam folder. No email was received.

    I gotta ask tho

    Exp potions vs. account copy

I think the exp potions and ESO Plus from a profit standpoint far outweight an account copy.
Also, if you start allowing people from PC to buy a copy then you would need to also consider offering to buy level 50 characters which some argue are pay-to-win services.

Just had to ask tho because I foresee no account copy offerings because of a short term profitability vs exp pots and ESO plus

I had no idea about these forums. On May 12th my buddy and i were talking about when the console download will be available. On May 13th googled what the download and transfer would entail and that's when i stumbled upon this promotional period.

yet onemook you find the time to come to the forums to complain. It is called a deadline for a reason, be an adult and realize they probably made the deadline because they scheduled that time to be able to transfer everyone's account over to console. Which I'm sure is not an easy task especially when you consider the number of people who did this. And you have to fit in the transfer time with working out any bugs from transfer etc etc etc.

Suck it up and realize you missed the cut off for whatever reason and get over it.

Oh trust me i know... This is most I've been on a forum in 10+ years... I am just aggravated that ZoS can be so unprofessional about this... Missed it and was in the military... oh well... sickly... oh well... financial hardships... oh well... They said last year and at the beginning of this year that anyone who purchased the game before June 30th will be allowed to transfer their account. That should be it. I signed up at the release in April 2014... That should be enough. My (and others) argument is simply why a deadline or promotional period on top of that cutoff?

I have the xbox version linked to my account from the beta and I am sure it said it was a transfer also although I am not sure

Either way I can see both pc and xbox on my account info does that mean I'm covered for the character transfer? Because to be honest I also never saw the transfer deadline date and details and I'm always keeping track of eso : (

I really need to be able to copy my characters mainly for my collections.

The funny thing about this whole thread, and other threads pertaining to this matter, is that there is probably 20 or more valid reasons and arguments supporting why there shouldn't have been a transfer period at all. And pretty much the only thing the opposing opinions are saying is they advertised and you missed it... oh well.

    It's a copy for sure
Having the account linked isn't related to the copy but rather more related to a step the game prompts when playing BETa and also the live version.
If you purchased the account copy you have an email (unless you somehow have an incorrect email address on your PC account)

If you find every single person who did the $20 digital copy and console transfer and have them all sign waivers that:

    1. They give consent to have the option available again without limit;
    2. They agree not to sue ZeniMax for false advertising;
    3. They agree to no additional benefit for having followed the original terms

Then ZeniMax might actually have something to work with. But it has to be everyone who completed the offer. You can't just have your friends sign a petition. You have to limit the liability of a future lawsuit to 0% through 100% consensus to remove any existing legal barrier.
    signing off

    1. ITS CALLED A DEADLINE
    2. It probably takes a lot of WORK and TIME to transfer pc accounts to console accounts hence THE DEADLINE. you had ENTIRE MONTH to transfer. (sarcasm) I know I know they should put everything on hold sift through all the valid and invalid claims of why an entire month long dead line was missed then spend all that time try transfer everything over and still have console release on time and deal with issues after the release. Because for whatever reason people missed ENTIRE MONTH to put in a request (end sarcasm).

As for being unprofessional about this Mook, Zos is being professional about it they are sticking to the deadline given. That's what professional people/companies do, unprofessional people cry about not making a month long deadline to putting in request for a transfer and then blame somebody else because they failed to meet the deadline.

Zos will not bring back character transfers before launch occurs. It would it be worth the effort for them to bring back transfers 6 days prior to the planned June 1 date

Few would get the message leaving threads like this to continue regardless making it pointless to even try at this point.

It's actually not more money at all.
This is why there was an "offer" with an expiration vs a paid service for anyone.

The game is $60 and those who qualified paid at least $60 + any sub fees and crown or ESO plus up until April of this year and then another $20

For me I paid over $300 so far. I'm sure there are some who never subbed but the point is that it was an offer and not a paid service.

Offering this as a paid service complicates things and wouldn't be available to everyone as Steam sales started after the June 3014 cut off. To offer this as a paid service to everyone then creates or devalues those who jumped onto the offer in early 2014. It would seemingly either not be available or be available at different prices for Steam and non-steam customers.

If anything, assuming ppl don't cry pay-to-win, they could roll out the exp pots that were data mined but offering a paid character transfer is at best a terrible idea until 2016

Enticing people to re-buy the game in order to play it on another platform, then an additional 20 bucks for the transfer...how is that NOT more money. Seems like another 80 bucks in ZoS pocket to me. Like someone mentioned earlier, I am sure there's a crowd of folks that wouldn't so much mind the expense, but they just "don't want to start over".

Bear in mind, i am not talkign about Day 1 transfers. That matter is already settled, but this should be a service offered after it is launched. Maybe month 2.

    2014 = $60-$100 plus $15/month sub /ESO plus + crown purchases + $20 console copy
2015 = $60 (no copy) but if allowed after March 2015 $20 and maybe $15 to $30 of ESO plus

Simple math, the original offer is far more money than the latter.

    Your idea:
$60-$100 + or - any sub or ESO plus or crown purchases and lack of get to pay to copy their accounts to console for anything less than $60

By default ZOS misses any chance for those customer to buy crown items again, missed another $60-$100 in game or box sale, misses any suggested benefits to buy ESO plus ANd they get the headache of service concerns about account copying on random dates in addition to paying each console the difference as ZOS set up a special agreement for this offer only as a one time "offer"

In a month that's hundreds of thousands of $ to millions of $ lost for a launch title
