ESO+: Worth it or Not?

At the time of writing this as a subscriber I can honestly convey to you, it is not worth your time subscribing concurrently.

10% extra XP is measly and unrewarding.

When the DLC arrive, I will subscribe again.
What If the DLC doesn't come OR when it does that it's not what anyone hoped for or even severely game breaking or pay-to-win suddenly? For example, what if it's something like Soul Gem crafting, better glyphs, better provisioning, armor and weapon upgrades. What if it's like Borderlands, DLC only means a new level cap and a zone you might finish and reach level cap in under 40 hours?

I cancelled my subscription when the game turned B2P.

I have my Tiger and I also play in huge lags in PvP in prime times.

This is enough for me to not keep my sub.

Let me just say this now... You say "support" tell me right now how a multi million dollar company needs support from you and exactly how much value your subscription even is?

NO, better yet, answer me as to WHY you believe you're "supporting" said companies via subscription. Because I know GamersFirst (APB: Reloaded and Fallen Earth), Blizzard (World of Warcraft, Diablo, etc.), Jagex (RuneScape),. Perfect World Entertainment (Perfect World, Jade Dynasty, etc.) of which charge or don't for subscriptions and never would say such a thing as to claim it to be support. So why do you feel such value in your subscription and regardlessly of it, support means something is broken or in need of aid. Why would you do such to a game if it hasn't met your own expectations already?
I get kicked from the game constantly simply because my addons will spam MY chat no one else though yet I'm kicked for "spamming." There's the also 30 minute long lag delays in the game in certain areas for the AD like Elden Root and even sometimes in Vuhkel Guard. When I stop the game client my connection is fine, when I start it and I'm finally in game suddenly my connection to the server just dies. I constantly see 999+ms and as I said, 30 minute long lag delays....Yes I have actually timed them. I stopped after 30..Because even 10 seconds is unacceptable. YET when I alt tab and go to ookla, I have a ping of less than 80. With a normal out of game ping of less than 25. So I know it's not my computer, especially with the updates I've given it. I've burned over 5k (5,000) USD into it. Completely custom. So where's the connection at Zenimax?

For starters you can purchase motifs for real life currencies, and you can pay for it in gold in the game. I've yet to meet a large enough group of people who have multiple crafters that would ever possibly need such a thing as specific as getting extra chances with motifs. That's a rather idiotic thing to even think of. As for veteran rewards, why veteran and define it? Is a veteran level 1 or Veteran Rank 14 or is it the person who has played since Beta/Launch day? Why do you need a better queue time for PvP? Exactly what are you queueing for that could make you so desperate?

Admittedly I haven't been in Cyrodiil since May of launch year. We didn't have queues..Least not to my knowledge, you jumped into any of the campaigns and chances are you'd have met me or someone or group/guild of people giving out commands and organizing the field. Secondly though, if my comment is "sniping" then it's because it is. If you want to say something, at least make a point of interest and conflict with it. Not just say you need more motif chances because god forbid you look in more than 10 chests to get a dwemer motif chapter.. Another thing to Cyrodiil, if you're queueing inside it.. You've already lost in my opinion, because in my times we never did such. You found what was being attacked currently and rushed in. Called out for aid if something was being attacked away from the masses and kept people updated on what's what, eventually ending up in a group within 10 minutes if not less, depending on travel speed and knowledge of Cyrodiil. If that's changed to people idly sitting around picking their noses while they wait to get in a group to PvP then they've already missed the fun and aspect of Cyrodiil's PvP. You either go in prepared, run about looking prepared, or die an idiot.

Hiya nowadays Most campaigns are pop locked and many have lonnng queues depending on time of day. The queue is just to port into any campaign (you know when you press L and enter your campaign) and has nil to do with any specific keep etc.

I've recently unsubbed after the shenanigans with the banner ad advertisement experiment. Not cool in my books. I just have this niggling feeling at the back of my mind that ZOS is going to try to get away with whatever they can. It was only when player protests extended beyond these forums to adversely affect their image, and potential console sales, that they stopped their behavior.

So, I will wait and see how things pan out. As it is now, definitely not worth the money to sub. The only thing coming out of development are Cash Shop products at this point. Let's see what the post console launch brings.

For now, ZOS is on a trial suspension from me. The proof is in the pudding, as they say.

    Agree entirely.

Now, if I were judging the money I spend purely against the value of the ESO+ rewards I'd probably conclude that it isn't worth it at the moment.

However, I like to support whatever game I am playing when I can. So as long as I don't miss the monthly sub or need it for anything else I'll continue to pay it, even though I could easily play for free.

Since LOtrO went F2P I have continued to sub for an average of 9 months of the year; I certainly don't need the TP that I get "free" and there's not much else of value in being subbed but I prefer to sub where possible.

As to Dwemer pages we are talking hundreds of containers over hours of looking. Not 10.

Finally - the text I set bold - be careful there too. ZOS doesn't allow sniping and baiting in comments.

What franchise, and developers are running this game? Do you really think your subscription or anyone's is that of an investment in which you can claim is support? I think you're too far into the world of KickStarter, Paetron and so on... Do not twist words into higher value that they cannot possibly uphold

Everything you said still is childish. I'm sorry you want the respectively newest and "greatest" motif and simply can't take your time in finding it. That's arrogance and has yet to yield any value statistically to prove that a major percentage of people would desire this over something else. As offended as you feel, I could careless, no proof of concept or reason beyond that of personalized greed. Nothing further to discuss.

Glad you understand you own point of view. Doesn't make it universal nor objective truth though.

Paying a subcription increases sales volume. Part of it pays for current expenses of the game, part of it is invested for the future development of the game, rest of it is profit for Zenimax owners whoever they are.

Thus paying a subscription CAN mean supporting the game, CAN also mean increasing profits. It all depends how the company is run and how the money is spread between these three destinations. You know nothing about that.

If it were a charity you would have the right to know about it and there would be legal systems around these choices, but ZOS is not a charity.

As to the first part of your statement, it is also untrue. If noone paid a sub, maybe the games sold PLUS the crown sales would be enough to cover expenses + Investment + profit.
The correct phrasing would be : IF overall sales (subs + games sales + crowns) do not cover overall expenses (current + investment + desired profit) THEN the game will be closed.
