Enlightenment working for ANYONE?

I have yet to experience enlightenment.

I've had the message show but if I zone I loose my enlightenment pool. Last time I saw the message I tried to stay in the over world and earn XP without zoning and got rolled back a champion point because apparently I was earning bugged XP that wasn't real.

Sorry for ranting, but after seeing a pattern of bad patch releases from ZOS on this game, its more than a little irritating.

It was reported multiple times during the PTS. I even spammed the last ESO live chat that this was happening and got a "we will look into it" from Kai Schober. They didnt look into anything.

For what its worth...for the first time since patch my enlightenment worked tonight. I ported zone to zone, logged on and off different toons and it never vanished. I earned two CP and logged off for the night still enlightened.

Can we just suspend the whole system until its fixed?

The grind is bad enough as it is, but at least its consistent. Now this is just inconsistent and resulting in imbalanced progression..

Exactly, that's the problem. I'd be surprised and pleased if it was sorted out by Monday, but I don't expect it.

I really wish I could expect it.

IF YOU WANT ENLIGHTENMENT, MAKE SURE TO NEVER LOG INTO ANOTHER CHAR! im not sure if its non vr rank toons that are borking this up or all toons in general but it seems to be a common theme. on top of traveling or zoning.... so basically if you get enlightenment working, don't move, dont tp to a diff zone, dont go into a dungeon, don't do a thing.

instead of addressing and fixing this issue, theyre worried about silly live stream events with noobs like deltia. Im curious to see if a single one of them brings this up in their streams

Create new patch.
Log in to test new patch.

If they had made it to step 2 they might have discovered that logging in is resetting the timer. I am sorry but this is really just embarrassing guys. How can you not test the primary system implemented in an expansion, at least enough to catch such glaring and community-wide issues like this?

I won't belabor this anymore now that I know you are working on a fix, but I am another one of those that received the buff once and then never again.

Incredibly frustrating to see another major set of bugs like this in an update.

So we will have people with the "Enlightenment never goes away" bug with several hundred CP, and people like me with the "Enlightenment timer resets every time you log in" bug that are stuck with 70-80 by the time ZOS gets around to testing their updates.

Seriously, ZOS. Do you even test, bro?

So much sadness. Really, really disgusted by this.

Everyone should get the same champion rank as compensation. I am still 79 and i know ppl in the 100s. The gap between ppl with working e buff and non working will get larger. This is so frustrating

I had a lot of enlightenment bonus in friday. The patch was released wednesday here in europe, in that day I just messed around and tried justice system. Thursday, I just fed horse and put something on research - the game did tell me I was enlightenment. I didn't have time to play at that day.

Then comes friday and when I log in, I still see that I have enlightenment bonus. I found a really good grinding spot and racked up first few champion points really fast. Then the next one, and next and, and next one. At somepoint I thought that maybe I am bugged and my enlightenment would just not stop. But then after 8th point it finally did. I was able to get 8 points before my enlightenment bonus wen't away.

I am guessing my enlightenment is working as intended as I did not grind till friday and patch has been here since wednesday(EU) so my enlightenment bonus has been "saved" from few days and I used them all up in friday.

I have only 2 chars. One VR14 and one non-vr level 35. I have NOT logged to my alt at ANY time during this patch. I am guessing almost all of you have? This is something you should look into. Logging between different chars seem to mess enlightenment somehow.

I disagree completely. With enlightenment the gain is bearable, without enlightenment the gain rate is atrocious.

This is a game-breaking bug that allow certain players to go months ahead of everyone else.
@ZOS I really hope you fix it and remove all those CP obtained with this bug.

I guess I lucked out cause I had enlightenment for 2 days straight. I managed 12 CP during that time as I was busy doing other non-xp related things.

I should add my girl was VR1 when it started and now she's VR2.

Although I loved the progression of my CP's while enlightened for so long, I totally think the way it is atm is completely broken.

I've talked to people who are yet to even get it for 1 second, let alone as long as I had it.

This really needs to be looked at and a system set in place so everyone gets it exactly the same amount of time p/day or week or whatever.

Yesterday and the day before that I gained a portion of enlightenment without any problems. (It appeared to be 4 champion points worth of enlightenment per day)

My enlightenment seemed to be working fine for a while. Was logging in between toons no problem.

Now my enlightenment wont work at all.

PLEASE ZOS, fully explain how it is suppose to work!!!!!!! Like in detail with figures and numbers and such. Trying to figure out how its intended to work through psychic means is getting irksome.

Ok now I'm pissed.

As I posted above, my enlightenment was working - then it wasn't.

I posted the comment above, then went in the game to complete a customer service ticket and bug report.

VERY interestingly, in the middle of the bug report I got the message saying enlightenment was now working. I checked my bar and it said I would be enlightened through the next CP point. So I stopped what I was doing in game and immediately went to kill some bad guys, get some xp quick towards my next CP point. I checked after just a couple of kills and low and behold enlightenment was gone. If I hadn't played with it working correctly for a couple of days, I would have never known. So I got the message it was working but it isn't.

This is bad ZOS. Bad for me, but worse for you. Very. Very. Bad.

My vote is to suspend the system until its fixed. There is no way ZOS can "fairly" take away the CPs that players have obtained so far, regardless of under what circumstance they obtained it (e.g. grinding non stop with or without enlightenment). But the longer these fixes are not implemented, the further people with the perma-enlightenment will be miles ahead of those with perma-no-enlightenment.

What is worse then an artificial ceiling (pointless) long term grind is one that gives some players a short cut while a handicap for some others.

After enlightened being bugged all day. I closed the game, took a shower, waited as long as I could with the client down. When I got back on I got the buff. It might have been around 20min. Please try this and report back.

When you log out make sure you do so where you intend to farm/quest so that you don't have to port anywhere.

^^^Good advice about logging out where you intend to get xp. For me, the enlightenment will pop on arbitrarily, but it was when I was in a zone where no xp available for my v14. As soon as i ported, it was gone.

I'm now living in Belkharth, hoping the enlightenment will resurface. Feels like house arrest.

Is it intended for random quests to give massively inflated xp whilst enlightened? First and second time i was awarded 333k, then today 350k from 1 random quest hand in.
