for the 68 champ points, did you have a "Fresh V14" and no other Vet level characters?

V1-v2 = 1mill = 5cp
v2-v3 = 1mill = 10cp
3-4 = 15cp
4-5 =20cp
5-6 = 25cp
6-7 =30
7-8 = 35
8-9 =40
9-10 =45
10-11=50
11-12=55
12-13=60
13-14 = 65
14+1mill = 1mil = 70cp (I'm assuming you got to V14 and earned 60% of your way to "V15"... and so you didn't get 14mill total xp when in VR.)

at least its a possible explanation...

That's probably the case then since my xp bar might have been bugged coz it was full at v14 when I lvld it.

How about investigating the issue that many players have reported about never getting enlightened or receiving any CP. In my case I have been actively doing the Caldwell Gold quest line to include solo dungeons, dolmans and finding new locations. Minimum 5 hours a day since 1.6 hit live on Tuesday. I have yet to be enlightened or receive any CP with the exception of the initial 70 I got for my VR14 character. I have been playing with a VR6 Sorcerer and am getting close to moving on to VR7.

Did you not read Gina's list? At least two things on that list that could have resulted in your problem...

Which two?

Enlightenment timer resetting when loading in with a vet ranked character. Perfectly explains why you might never have gotten enlightenment as logging in is resetting it for some players. Also the next point enlightenment bonus not appearing at all.

I seem to randomly gain and lose the buff at the most random times, but never have it when I'm questing or grinding. Still haven't earned a single cp.

You forgot this...

Your enlightenment state appears to vanish after switching characters.

This is huge..because when I log in the game I log on each my toons and get their horses fed, update research, etc. THEN i choose a character to start playing. If logging on and off multiple toons (some VR some not VR) is making it vanish that is a big issue because I know I am not the only person who does this.

I experienced today what appeared to be a UI display error.

My CP experience bar showed that I was enlightened, I turned in a player bounty guest in Cyrodil and checked my CP bar which showed I had been awarded around 40k CP experience, which seems about right.
I then ported to a different zone and saw that I was no longer enlightened and mousing over the CP bar showed that I only had a total of around 15k CP experience, which would be right had I not been enlightened.

It seems like the CP bar was showing/behaving as being enlightened when I was not actually enlightened, considering it had been less than 24hrs since I used up all of my previous day's enlightenment.

Yesterday I had enlightenment and earned champion points with no issue, but I had experienced the same CP bar bug earlier in the day, also when travelling between Cyrodil and a PvE zone.

ding! ding! This is how I play the game and probably why I have barely seen enlightenment at all. I really hope they can fix this so I can play the game normally and not worry about my character advancing.

so my enlightenment finally showed up and worked... or so I thought

gained xp just fine, got a champ point.....

then it went to mage, got enough xp... no point
then it went to warrior, got enough xp.... no point
now im on thief...
and im assuming since the system keeps each type of cp even <mage/warrior/thief> ill have to get enough xp to finish off thief, then mage and HOPE It actually works right this time?

so gain enough xp for 4 CP to gain just the first point.... if it works the second time around.....

edit: yup, gained thief, no CP gained... so back to mage and hope it works

Still not working for me. Enlightenment will vanish as soon as I port to another zone. Sometimes it comes back while playing but will disappear on port again.

Yeah I have never yet gotten a CP yet, one night I had Enlightenment for sometime and was making headway but after I logged out that night, I still haven't gotten any further Enlightenment that has stayed..

Atleast I know the team at ZOS is looking at this..but is ZOS going to reset all of our CP after the fix ??

I wanna know how a show stopper bug like this gets through to live. Seriously, this type of bug should NEVER make it to live. This enlightenment system sits at the very core of the champion system. Thats what this whole 1.6 patch is about; the champion system. To release 1.6 with it very core functionality not working, well, its just completely ridiculous. It should not have been released.

Sorry for ranting, but after seeing a pattern of bad patch releases from ZOS on this game, its more than a little irritating.

When I was on the PTS the Enlightenment system seemed fine, really it did, when I had "E" it would let me get to certain amount of CP (champion points) and then it would end and a day or so later I would have "E" again and it would work (I didn't log in all the time but it never disappeared when moving to different zones and such, or that I would have it and then not have it), the placing of the CP points gained worked fine and so forth (never lost them or got rolled back etc..) So I never really saw a problem with it.. now that it is on LIVE, its definitely not working correctly..

While people with enlightenment are raking in the CPs, I'm also in the camp where EL shows up when I'm in town but is gone whenever I'm actually outside trying to gain XP. Requesting a hot fix because I was hoping that EL would keep me somewhat relevant because I have limited play time. I didn't get to log on to 1.6 until Thursday evening so I would have expected that my enlightenment would have been active compared to people who have been playing regularly since Tuesday. But no.

this is exactly what im thinking. I haven't been able to play much this week but I had max enlightenment saved up and made the horrible mistake of logging onto a lvl 3 bank toon. Enlightenment gone. it seems to come back randomly but as soon as I change zones to go use it, it disappears again. I thoroughly tested 1.6 on the pts and enlightenment worked flawlessly. I don't understand how one of the things that wasn't bugged becomes bugged when it goes live. this is something that should be hotfixed immediately not next week or 2 weeks from now in the next patch. I would hope that maybe ZOS is tracking our xp and could give us what weve lost out on, but we all know what happens when they say theyre keeping track of XP lol.

As pointed out it seemed to work fine the couple times I had copies on test. I have yet to see enlightenment today, but I have been gaining champion points at a rate about 5 times that off my VR experience which is nice as before it was gaining then losing then gaining then losing so had no idea where I was.

I am sure they will come up with a hot fix as soon as they can but sometimes you need to implement the doctors code of do no harm while you are dealing with complex code.

Yeah so I'm spending all this time trying to get CP, and my friends have been enlightened for 2 straight days. I'm doing the same content with them and they are 12 CP higher than me.

What is this garbage?? Why am I not getting the same CP as them; I'm doing the same content as them....

Just happened to me. I had a ton of enlightenment saved up. I had just gotten it yesterday before I logged out. I log in today after working all day, and it was still there. Swapped characters, did nothing but check hirelings and feed horses, get back on one of my vet characters eager to use up my enlightenment and it's all gone. Currently at rank 72. So I've gotten a total of 2CP since 1.6 went live, and now my enlightenment buff vanished. How nice.

As far as I know I never had any enlightenment. I logged in on patch day and I'm pretty sure I remember it immeadiately saying that I was no longer enlightened. I thought maybe I'd have to wait a day for it to work, but I just never got any enlightenment.

Makes me not even want to play. Knowing that you should be getting the enlightenment buff and watching the CP bar barely move is just painful and it feels like a waste of time. Especially since some people are just raking it in non stop. This needs to be fixed asap because it's absolute crud.

I'm not sure how lost enlightenment time is even going to get tracked or reinstated. The problem is for those that have a bugged out situation going on - its not likely a one time thing. Welcome to CP imbalance 1 week (heck i mean, 3 days) into 1.6.

One thing I don't see listed here that seems to be a very common theme in this thread is switching between multiple characters. That's what happened to me and many others in this thread. It could have also been using a wayshrine, because I had just arrived at my destination via a wayshrine when I noticed that my Enlightenment had vanished, but prior to that I was swapping between multiple characters checking hirelings and feeding horses.

So perhaps it's the combination of character swapping then using a shrine, but character swapping certainly seems to be contributing to the issue somehow.

The whole system is borked. Your account is suppose to share champion points, it is suppose to be an alt friendly system, you are supposed to be able to gain champion points on any of your vr toons, enlightenment is suppose to be based on your account, but if you log on with different VR characters it messes everything up. All of my VR characters have different amounts to go for the next champion point, and me wanting to play different characters is screwing my enlightenment. I understand bugs happen, but I'm just getting aggravated that I will be behind by a good amount by the time this gets resolved, which I am sure we will not be compensated for at all.

Also you asked people to test this update on the PTS, which is really hard to do because of character copies and incomplete templates(no access to most gear sets or vampire), and I a lot of the same issues that bug reports were made about and forum posts were made about, still in the game. Again I know the job can't be easy, I am just a little peeved.
