XP gain in PVP is going to pale to PVE

I would like the player killing quests to be available for pick up with the siege vendors that spawn that the keeps. That way, you can also refresh quests while isolated or when needing to move quickly.

Also; not sure if there is any reason to not have each player kill give like 300-400 xp or something? They are harder to kill than mass groups of mobs (ok, maybe not always but most the time)

On live the exp gain when we kill player is like 2k+ exp. It is also shareable.
It is fine, there is no need for more. We will abuse it.

Always has, and this needs to change. we need to be equally rewarded for doing things players like to do. right now its, lets find and awesome grind spot, woohoo fun!!!! lol.

What do pvp players like doing in pvp, well i think its safe to say we like to kill people, and yet we are barely rewarded for that, hell ive been playing a year and when 1.6 comes out ill only have 65 champion points to spend, lol. that shows the crazy disparity there, i guarantee all pve players have there 70 champion points at the start.

    Fix
-Give more xp per player kill
-Give more xp for quests in cyrodiil based on pvping.
-give us more daily quests for pvping along side the kill quests board, spread out between the gates. like for example (kill 20 players higher ranked then you). (kill 20 players lower ranked then you). (kill 20 players higher champion level then you) (kill 20 people lower champion rank then you). (kill 200 players). (Take 50 resources). (Take 25 keeps). (Be present for 4 scroll turn ins) (kill 100 dragon knights and templars). (kill 100 sorcerers and night blades) (Kill 100 sorcerers and dragon knights) (kill 100 night blades and templars). (kill five bosses in delves). (do 10 quests in towns (like cheydenhal)) etc.

see its easy to add more quests into cyrodiil, i can come up with these all day. yet we have a bunch of bounty boards and only one involves actually pvping, lol.

Love every bit of your post. This needs to happen (as well as increased XP from Trials / Veteran Dungeons).

We should understand that pvp it is not separate game of pve. It is the same game with 2 parts. You have to rise your character via pve and you compatible with others buy pvp. I do not understand why people trying to separate pvp with pve
My personal opinion is that we should not gain rewards from pvp because players misunderstood the point of the game.

I understand what you're saying, and ZOS did in fact try to tie PvP with PvE (e.g. bonuses outside Cyrodiil). What did that give us? Ridiculous dead buff campaigns! BOOYAH!

The fact is that some players simply don't enjoy the PvE content, and others won't go near the PvP content. If you think about it, someone with limited time (like 1-2h/day, maybe not even every day) can't really play the whole thing, so it's understandable that they'll want to invest in one or the other. It's about time ZOS realized this and leveled the rewards.

Also, end-game PvE suffers from the same problem. Trials and veteran dungeons give tiny amounts of XP, therefore CP. But I guess you'll just say that ZOS intends you to roll another toon when you hit end-game so you can do all the same quests all over again, or kill the same mob group 1000x over, right? Because right now that's the only way to earn CP quickly.

Used to get much more xp in PvP during beta, then the crying started and it was nerfed to the ground. I honestly doubt we'll ever get that amount of xp gain back..
    I blame the impulse-spamming, cannon-balling zergs.

Wrong. It was the whiners crying about that they would out level their PVE zone if they go for a couple of hours of PvP.

If something is broken or nerfed in PvP, you can usually safely assume it had the potential to mildly inconvenience some PvE carebear and it got changed on their behalf.

Their influence over a portion of the game they don't even play is astounding.

The 'Them vs. Us' routine from PvP players gets old real fast... same is true of the opposite tbh.

The fact is, most people playing the game do both, in different proportions to be sure, but both.

For myself, I was a big PvP player in AoC and GW2. But PvP in ESO is pretty bad. 'Vampire DK Emperor Iwin Zerg' bad... hopefully upcoming changes will have an impact on this boring, lame and unskilled dominating aspect of Cyrodiil.

    We can only hope.

The fact is patch 1.6 caters extensively to Zenimax's view of what the game's needs in terms of PvP, and has screwed over PvE balance in a number of respects due to them not paying attention while they bent over to please the loudest of the PvP complaints.

However, it would be pretty lame to blame PvE players for these changes - they didn't ask for them, and have taken a hit because of them. Likewise PVE'ers blaming their screwed builds, gear and skills because of PVP'ers is equally wrong.

    Zenimax is the culprit here.

Calling people 'whiners' is just plain insulting, and referring to their complaints, however justfied the might be as 'crying' is equally so. 'Carebear' may be a commonly used word in MMOs online, but it is disrespectful and common to trolling attempts.

So change your tune why don't you?

I have no idea why ZOS has been so stingy with PvP xp, and I think that the problem is going to get MUCH worse in 1.6.

PvPers will be forced to do a lot of PvE if they hope to get competitive... that is not good for the game.

I'm a PvE player, we don't get much of EXP per dungeon done neither, thing is grinding gives a lot. Still, I've been into PvP and questing gives WAY MORE experience than PvPing from what I've seen. And this should get balanced, that's a fact.

Suggested it a long time ago...it was not popular for what ever reason:

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/149963/a-radical-redesign-of-the-champion-system#latestlatest

Also suggested dynamically changing xp for PvP:

And cannot get a response....the ideas are out there but the community throws them down ....without supporters ...well if you were zos what would you do?

There must be a way to grant XP / CP in PVP just like PVE , otherwise PVP will be dead. I don't care about imperial city if no one gonna play PVP cause of the low CP gain.

IMO buff the XP from repeatable village quests/cyrodil dungeons/pvp rewards, these boosts will appeal more to players and more will join campaigns, not just thornblade.

While I agree that ZOS is the culprit here, I don't think they are catering to the loudest of the PVP complaints because most the changes in 1.6 were not requested by any of the PVPers I know. Some of us even despise these changes and prefer having none of them implemented.

The loudest complaints from the PVP community derive from the performance issues in Cyrodiil which effectively grind combat to a halt. None of the changes in 1.6 seem to address the lag problem at all.

You can blame PVPers all you want; but ZOS certainly is not listening to our complaints.

1.6 is designed to cater to the console players, and PvP hasn't been a priority since release. This has been demonstrated time and time again over the past year and I think it's foolish to think anything will change. Obviously people are passionate for change as they are vested in their characters, but players really have two choices. Be content with PvP in its current state and accept that it may continue to decline, or move on to another game. It sucks and it's frustrating, but that is reality.

What "endgame content"? You mean the same Trials and Veteran Dungeons that are pretty much impossible to solo?

NO. This game is already rigged against the solo players and small, casual groups. There is no need to make the imbalance even worse by walling off CP points for the benefit of the privileged few!

LOL button, you obviously have never tried to level in pvp and then go head and make a comment on how solvers are the ones discriminated against, but please correct me if I'm wrong, solo gives the absolute most xp grinding groups with AoE. This hasn't changed. How many people do you hear actually have leveled from lvl 10 to v14? I believe if they stuck with it they would be about v5 right now if they played 3-4 hours a day since the start of the game. The disparity is real, please don't make comments on pvp when you're not really informed on the matter, k thanks.

The only disagreement is the word "quickly". Who said that we have to rush. Im playing 2-3 hours per day and not every day. I will be able to enjoy this game for more than 1-2 years.

They cutted Bruma quest xp in half :/ so far I got ~50k AP and with those quests I'm at 145k champion xp. That being said, if you kill a player 1v1 it gives you about the same xp you get for killing 3 v10 npcs in The Rift.
