Where is the new PvP content ZOS?

    Performance is still the priority for Cyrodiil and our engineers have added some fixes in update 6 to help address that. Imperial City has been in development for a while but is still going through it's paces and other Cyrodiil updates/fixes I've mentioned here are being discussed internally, but not in production.

    In the imperial city how much pvp content will we see compared to pvp content (50/50, 70/30, etc)? I am looking forward to it, but the previously described model sounds bit like warhammer online's land of the dead. In that zone factions fliped ownership of a PVE zone, clearing out the enemy force, and then could do the quests and dungeons in the area. It wasn't bad, but the pvp elements were short lived to only the short time after a flip.

    I don't understand the point of this thread.

    Even tho new content would be fantastic, I would rather have all the techs and devs focus on fixing what is already broken instead of wasting time on new content which will bring even more problems.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
    • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
    • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
    • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities
    • Change emperorship to last minimum 24hours
    • Fix body sliding after cc breaking too quickly
    • Remove Block Casting through Battle Spirit
    • Fix the speed drop while jumping - see video
    • Fix loading screens when keeps upgrade
    • Fix Rams going crazy (spinning around)
    • Bring back dynamic ulti regeneration

    You have no idea how excited I am for the Imperial City. Something like killing Baron in LoL would be amazing.

    Because despite what is broken folks still enjoy pvp and we want to see new maps, mechanics, and gameplay when things are fixed. If you don't add in new content people are going to get bored attacking the same keep, corrected mistakes or not.

    i would like the Imperial Prison (dungeon in the middle of Imperial City) be a 4v4v4 dungeon. when your faction controls the city you can go in, but if you are in the middle of it and another faction takes control of the city, that faction can join your dungeon to try and wipe you to pick up where you left off. and if the 3rd faction then takes over the city then 4 more of that faction can join your dungeon. if you full wipe you are kicked out of the Imperial Prison to a controlled district spawn point in the Imperial City. if you dont own one then you are kicked from the imperial city completely.

    basically there should not be a pve dungeon in the middle of a pvp zone. there is plenty of pve going on in the imperial city as it is when i saw it 4-5 months ago. there needs to be a lot of flowers growing in the imperial city for making all kinds of potions, but mainly mountain flower, columbine, and bugloss for tri pots. this is a big reward for owning the city as a pvper and pve'er. pve'ers will want in on that city too if there are a large abundance of rare plants.

    but before you add all the rare stuff to IC, buff servers need to be addressed. all servers must be in a competitive place where all factions are fighting for control. one way to do this is to make it so there are only 2 campaigns, that way no one can just have a buff campaign. Another way is to keep all the campaigns we have right now but tie the over all score to who owns the most keeps out of all the campaigns, this will cause people to spread out because they want to win. Add reward tiers on top of that, 3 tiers per campaign to get gear on a scale, reach tier 3 in one campaign you will receive green gear, tier 3 in a second and receive blue gear, tier 3 in a third campaign receive purple gear, and tier three in the 4th campaign, receive yellows (higher ranks on the leader boards should receive higher chance at rare weapons). all campaigns will be 30 days and end on the same day.

    This is true lol. I wouldn't mind seeing some small additions/tweaks. The new skills coming in 1.6 actually qualify as "new content" for PvP in my books.

    But yah, fix the balance and performance and you'll make an already really good PVP experience something truly great.

    Cyrodiil is a marvel. A place were amazing happens on the regular. That being said arena in addition to the pvp portion of the justice system will give people much needed options and would surely help with Cyrodiil performance.

    This is exactly how I felt when I stepped into Cyrodiil as a level 10 back near launch. I still think this. ZoS: with just a few (continuous) additions, Cyrodiil will flourish. The examples in this thread are all good. Please pick a few!

    Also, Imperial City is the #2 most requested feature for PvP (behind #1 which is performance). Please tease us some more about how awesome it will be!

    Please redesign the DC home keeps (particularly Glademist) so they can't be sieged with near impunity from a cliffs on multiple sides. That would be a nice content change. It's rather insulting compared to sieging Faragyl or Arius.

    I love the fact that keeps have different surroundings which require different tactics to defeat and drive the enemy back.

    I.e. For Glade try getting a group together and flank the enemy via the one of the hillsides not run straight up the hill into harms way!

    Or just wait for the outer wall to be destroyed and put up viable defense inside the keep or courtyard.

    Sometimes you have to think outside the box, rather than charge in head on and get yourself wiped ;)

    I really don't get all the hate. I have never had issues in Cyrodiil, not once. Granted I don't play 10 hours a day like some people but I think this game is amazing. Updates/upgrades are always nice but I'm very happy with the game right now.

    But you can also PvP inside it. Say a group is preparing to enter the Trial there you can have another group go in and wipe them causing them to respawn and taking time out of them being able to play their PvE content.

    Some people have mid range PCs and/or mediocre internet connection. I myself generally don't have any issues either, used to have lag issue when all three factions zerged a keep however in the latest live update taking out all the deer and torchbugs I haven't had the issue since.

    PvP in ESO is very fun and I appreciate the effort you and the team are making to improve the experience.

    It seems like ESO could attract a ton of new PvP players in the new B2P model. What are some of the steps you are taking to make sure that PvP attracts new players and retains them?

    I have been playing this since beta, and I still stand by my original comment. Thank you for your input though....

    that's still rather limited in "content". Its not to say its a bad addition, but the prospect of ganking folks getting ready for a trial or dungeon isn't really objective based or offering a different mode of play. in addition, the wait for folks to come in to kill can be a long one except during the initial flip of the control.

    It is adding content, but it seems much more PVE content updated than PVP

    They took so long for that *** Champion System which is seriously not well thought at all. I bet they took a few days for it to come up.

    As far goes information IC will be PvE instance with some PvP in it. New content for PvP will be capturing necessary keeps and clearing IC from previous owners. But in the end of the day pure PvPers gonna end up buying Imperial city gear from PvE players.

    Imperial City gonna be for both parties, pvp and pve players, I hope ZOS planing to add PvP only content someday. They could start by making each keep/castle/fort unique!

    I totally agree. ZOS is suspect at best.
