Ok guys, sorry for the confusion! There are indeed some achievements that grant XP upon completion - we just got our wires crossed a little there

So if I have all achievements completed I am basically down in the dumpster? So every new character is in preferred position? So basically you are showing all the die-hard veterans a big middle finger?

Get over yourself. These achievements have already granted XP.. you, me and everyone else have already received that XP. There's a limit to how many dead horses can be beaten at the same time.

You're missing the point, because of the massive amount of xp that is potentially available through achievements, this is a champ system balance issue.

150k xp for a vet dungeon achieve is more than a third of a champ point without enlightenment. A new character can get 3 of those every first dungeon run (plus quest and mob xp) if he goes with people who know what they are doing.

That's potentially 8-10 CP EXTRA just for having not done dungeons on a character. Double if the kill x mobs also have this amount of xp, although they will take multiple times to complete

That's enough "free CP" to force people to reroll and play alts because playing their main would be crappy CP gain.

Its like trying to compete all by yourself in a marathon (if you don't like alts) when the other guy is allowed 3 runners that can tag in anytime

    Get to veteran level 14
    Gain 1mil XP past that
    Congratulations: You start with 70cp

Any XP - PAST - that 1mil - goes straight into the void. This includes the 8CP worth of achievement XP you are unable to gain now. You are only left with grind.

You're telling that to someone who has 5 VR14s, I couldn't be more sympathetic to that.. but let's not pretend like a few 100K from some achievements is the top of the iceberg. Don't think many people wish more than me that I could be credited for my XP, but I would want the x million ones from running 100s of trials, pledges, quests, and the 10s of thousands of mobs I've killed.. more than 500K from achievements. >_<

Ok, I ve completed one of the repeatable mission in Craglorn. Btw for those who think we r gimped with 1.6. I soloed the one mission you have to kill 3 bosses, the last one is with 15 adds around, and I have 99 cp. Talk about beeing gimped. ...
I received upon completion 4990 VP !!! Is this how it s supposed to be ? 4990 for killing 3 bosses that gave each like 293 VP!
I dont want to play an alt ! I want to gain cp on my one and only batling char. And I think that gaining 1cp every 2/3 hours should be the norm.

Maybe this is how they are gonna in a way balance the game out.

It will be ridiculously hard for people that are done with the campaign and have completed all the Quests and dungeons to gain XP for Champion points.

This in turn gives people who are lvling up now an opportunity to catch up to not only 50 but in champion points in the future. I figure the average player once done with all the Campaign and the quests will probably be somewhere between 100-150 Champion points. and then most will just pick them up randomly with dungeon runs, Kills in PVP, and Grinding when they feel like it.

It could in theory create a large bulk of players between 100-300 Champion points with very few ever making it to more than 1000

(I'm talking at 400k XP to get 1 we are probably looking at less than 1% of players maybe even less than .3% of players)

People are really arguing over like 10-15 champion points.... After you are over 150 or so 10-15 doesn't really make much of a difference.

Maybe so. But the very few that make it will be in Cyrodiil picking off those that didn't. Can we get a PvE Cyrodiil already?
