You didn't hear how they are getting people to roll DC? For the low low cost of 1500 crowns you can purchase the unlock any race any faction that was only available through special pre launch purchase.

Daggerfall, Morrowind and Skyrim for me, like orcs so you can picture why I dislike Oblivion without a couple of mods.

Hey they may be a lizard still never been big on race cross faction though have always had the option. My last joke char was an Imp in EP gave him a roman joke name.

Though could also make make another one of those instead so it doesn't rub the lizard people wrong, beside they are most likely better at trolling and could get away with the name more easily since trolling is a form of fishing.

It's easy to imagine an Imperial in the Pact. Not in the Dominion though, unless I feel like RPing a self-hating human :disagree:

DC has by far the worst PvE zones in the game, and is the sole reason I have yet to make a DC character and take one to the highest levels.I have played thru them on my VR14(her VR1-5 zones) and I had to force myself thru them. EP and ADs PvE zones are MUCH better than DCs, and here is why.

The stories are boring and lackluster, the only appealing race is the Breton with their bonuses to magicka based builds(did I mention how hot breton females are?

Call me a weirdo for finding video game characters hot if y'all wish. lol)

The stories are lackluster and boring. Many people say shadowfen is the worst zone in the game; well I say rivenspire is the worst zone in the game. Shadowfen at least lets us go to black marsh, rivenspire has us go to this...... barren wasteland, having us fight yet another zombie apocalypse(and then another one in the next zone) in fact, 3/5 of the covenants story is fighting an undead apocalypse. Its boring, unoriginal, repetitive, and a complete chore to play through. Stormhaven is boring, the a'lakir desert is saved by the fact its the a'lakir desert(shadowfen at least captures our attention with an altmer murdering almost an entire generation of argonians, and letting us get sweat, righteous vengance ) Glenumbra is ok at first, but gets boring about halfway thru, and becomes a boring chore to play thru. Bangkorai is the savior of the DC PvE zones. But even then its still a chore to play thru. The only memorable part is killing septima tharn and watching High king D'bag(

) come back from death.

The environments of the zones are awful. Glenumbra tried to mix in this swampy hilly forest.... mix... and its not very appealing. Stormhaven is nothing but grasslands, forests, and maybe a cave or two. Rivenspire is a barren, harsh wasteland, the alakir desert is actually not that bad, but the zone is ruined by the horrendous story. Bangkorai's well.

So that's my opinion on it. The only appealing thing DC side are the hot female Bretons and some of the alakir desert. Everything else sucks. One COULD skip all that via PvP, but leveling in PvP takes quite a bit for those of us that don't play 20 hours a day, and I have RARELY seen any grind groups, so people are almost forced to play thru DCs horrendous PvE zones. That, or go into PvP to find 10 other Dc players there.

Hopefully it gets better when the B2P peeps come in. I and a few others plan to make a DC character. Hopefully more come overtime.

I feel the same. I really enjoy DC zones and questlines. There's something familiar and comforting about DC's french medieval aesthetic and Alikir is a large version of Stros Mkai which I enjoyed.

The problems with DC are, like I said, the races themselves and the unfamiliarity with Daggerfall compared to Morrowind and Skyrim. Do you want to a white guy, black guy or orc in an unknown part of the world that's home to the most underpopulated faction, or do you want to be an exotic race in parts of the world everyone knows from the recent Elder Scrolls games?

Whether people like zones is far more subjective than the value of racial passives. Without soft caps those passives become more valuable. Daggerfall (the sequel to Arena and second in TES series) definitely doesn't have the pull of Morrowind (TES III) or Skyrim (TES V), and the provinces associated with the Covenant have had little to do with the storylines of any standalone ES game since players were helping to figure out the mystery of the Numidium.

ZOS isn't going to rewrite the existing DC zones, but Wrothgar (now Orsinium) has a chance to play up the historical conflict between Orcs and Bretons and make both more appealing. After all, the exploration of the Argonian culture, history, and conflict with the Dunmer made them more appealing in ESO despite many people scoring their passives near those of Orcs.

The devs have said they are looking at racial passives and feedback on them as they test 1.6 so if that is something you think could make a difference send lots of /feedback.

DC has some pretty tenacious trolls that clutter up zone chat in Cyrodiil.

But I thought the DC zones/quests were the best of the bunch. Grahtwood alone made me hate all of AD zones.

For everyone rerolling to the less populated faction, I'm sure there are 3 rerolling to a more populated faction. Or so it seems, and DC gets weaker because people want an easy way out $:\$

I wish ZOS would be open with faction numbers, it seems to be getting really thin in DC EU.

The racial bonuses and the fact that races are tied to alliances might have something to do with it. I mean, would you like a fire-resistant guy that does 10% more damage, or someone who can sprint marginally faster?
