    It's entirely feasible for an off hours group to not take the whole map. When they do, it's almost always because its mostly PvDoor. When I'm on at off hours I find a place to chill and farm. The only motivation for capping a whole map, and thus meaning that the dominant faction plays mostly defense at primetime, is for the purpose of point and territory domination. If it were having a good ol' time you were interested you'd find yourself a nice little spot and do some farming.

    It's OK. What they do is not morally questionable. It's just lame and self-defeating. We can't just have Oceanic primetime babies to bolster our ranks lol.

    When AD were the night cappers, both DC and EP rightfully criticized this because it's not sporting in the least. When EP started night capping -- they always had this element, e.g. red in Chillrend 1.0 -- suddenly the indignant turned into apologists. "It's a part of the game!" "We should play when we want!" It's all an echo of the AD night capping masses of AB 1.0, Wabbajack 2.0, and the first few Thornblades.

    Don't let anyone stop you though. I'm just sitting here caffeinating and having a giggle :)

    It's surprising that humans don't mind being hypocrites when it suits their interests. /factious_off

    How many have forgotten its basically the same group of AD players that where doing things for ad now playing on EP side, or do those posts keep vanishing we went over this before people, ep asked for help and they got what they asked for.

Did we give up? lol nope. We kept playing. It was fun being outnumbered and going against the odds, but that is something you do not understand. Either organize your faction like EP has always done or stop QQing on the forums about how unfair it is. Find solutions instead of making excuses brah.

    Always? I remember last year when EP was a laughing stock and AD were the hated zergers/nightcappers/winners.

    But you're right, at least in DC. We are in need of multiple, tight, AOE zergs that lag the servers, and some more Aussies. It is impressive to see spam groups run through legions and never take enough damage to die. For my part, I'm leveling a DK that i will turn vamp. Hopefully PVP still exists when she's ready.

    Last night I logged on to check hireling mail. It was prime time so I expected Thorn to be locked and my DC Templar to spawn in Belkarth, but I popped right into Cyrodiil.

    I saw that almost the entire map was red, and that despite not having either of their own scrolls, AD had capped both Rayles and Warden. Only two of my guild mates were on, so I asked /z what was happening. The response was really dour.

    I'm only a little ashamed to admit that I said "eff this" and logged right back off.

    I want to still care about this game, I really do. I'll try again to care on Saturday.

    What they need to make are players who aren't so afraid to fight in every campaign. Buff servers exist because players don't stop it from happening. And you can't expect to stop a buff server by simply running in there one night and flipping it, it takes dedication and constant work.

    Except if you paid any attention to what the maps look like when our group takes down a buff campaign, you'd know that we always leave each set of home keeps alone and we never pursue more scrolls than our own red ones.

    Buff servers must die out. They are killing PvP.

    If the other keeps get capped or the entire map turns red, you can be sure that our group either stopped helping after getting the circle and our own two scrolls, or that we weren't even there at all.

    Note that we flip buff servers as many times as is necessary. We have flipped Azura multiple times this week, and will continue doing so until the buff campaign mentality is gone.

    I can see it, people seem to forget it needs to be fun for both sides of the keyboard, if you are a pvp'er the last thing you want is no one to pvp against

    Player bases have changed since DAOC, now you have people getting emp that don't seem to care about the faction but their own personal race to overlord, they would rather turtle up in an keep and protect themselves while other factions take their scrolls and gank them at their gates I have seen this, I know I would get tired of the same person over and over being emp geez really again.
    if Cyrodil fails at this point it is no ones fault but the players, and the poor ethics they exhibit shame really I used to have a lot of fun in pvp.

    This reads as "we have the numbers to dominate any campaign of our choosing, and that's what we're doing".

    I agree that buff servers absolutely need to go, but your approach of killing them by systemically flipping all of them red is actually killing your opponents will to play at all.
