Forward camp and travel time. Sure you want to decrease travel time and increase playtime. But you realize the forward camp meta makes death truly pointless and it removes the excitement from the game?

If it is what I think it is.....I really really really envy you guys...and I give a pre-emptive kudos to ZOS for doing it.
I play on EU and AD doesn't come across as over populated at all.Agrippa_Invisus wrote: »Lava_Croft wrote: »What's with all the people whining about which factions are attending? It doesn't matter at all from which faction you are, we all deal with the exact same problems.
Like Aldmeri Dominion's continued over supply of people as a faction? Every AD player deals with that in a negative fashion, riiiiiiiight?
Or how about things like EP's slower/lesser quality questing areas for newbies? The ones you go through as a VR level, so can pick and choose what to do or just grind out in Craglorn. You experience that in a deeply negative manner, right?

This is a great idea, but who is representing DC pvp guilds?
Why was this not even heard of or mentioned prior to this little announcement?
Here's an idea. Not trying to boast or flaunt my ego here, but putting out a tiny resume to validate why ZoS should let me participate.
I lead No Mercy, a hardcore DC NA pvp guild. I feel as DC and pvpers, we're underrepresented.
I graduated with a double major in electrical and computer engineering from a top notch university. And a minor in psychology. And I've lead pvp guilds in wow, tera, forsaken world, and just about every other mmorpg I've played. I also have worked in multiple industries and have a good career (I can pay for my own flight if you "require" me to be in person)
Let me call into this "conference" and help talk about the problems related to pvp and how we can fix them.
(I don't pve much, so I wouldn't begin to talk about that)
Small list of stuff that needs to be fixed.
Lag/server issues. What is up with your database management. It's so *** clear your game is horribly managing data and locations. Hire one good database engineer and he can fix it all the database issues.
Pvp dueling. Everyone wants to be able to duel their friends and family and whatever. Implement dueling so people can duel in town and create communities rather than be forced to reroll to duel a friend.
Pvp aoe caps. This can be a double edged solution or failure. Add more to deter zerg balling, and it'll help your servers cope with the coagulation of player data in a single location. Have you not realized the crashes happen when too many aoe calculations happen in a single keep or resource locale?
Forward camp and travel time. Sure you want to decrease travel time and increase playtime. But you realize the forward camp meta makes death truly pointless and it removes the excitement from the game?
The list goes on.
I'm very opinionated. But when I want to be serious, I'm very logical and can think out well thought out solutions to the multitude of pvp problems.
Give me a bridge number, and I'll call into your "conference". Putting our differences aside, I'm sure my enemies can also agree I'd be a good person to have present at a conference like this.
Edit: Also, the suggested oil changes is the worst idea I've ever heard of. And it makes me wonder how many hours of pvp the pvp development team has actually played. Hint: I feel the team has not experienced all the aspects of pvp, otherwise they'd know this is a god awful horrible idea

This time around I think they are trying a Summit to get a few guilds on board to play on PTS. They need groups to test the dungeon scaling, the Undaunted! daily quests, and the veteran City of Ash.
I do not think it is a coincidence that they are having this Summit on the eve of Update 5 hitting PTS.

What? They get to see the Imperial City first hand? MEH!!! Won't make that much of a difference if the pvp pop is null due to everyone leaving from the issues that aren't being addressed.

So they invite 1 person from guilds to test PTS content over 2 days? ./facepalm
I can count to potato.

Ummm, he said "get a few guilds on board to play on PTS". Since these folks represent their various guilds, they're in a good position to push for greater PTS participation. Quite a valid theory, personally.
Thank you guys for all of the suggestions. I'll keep them in mind at the summit.
As far as I can tell, the guilds attending the summit are those who have been providing valuable feedback on a continual organized basis since the early days of the game. Why would ZOS invited random players who may or may not give valuable information when they can invite representatives from guilds who have been giving valuable feedback for a long time?
