Ask them if it's even possible to make abilites in PvP work differently from PvE. Once you zone into Cyrodiil, all your skills and such should be balanced for PvP. If, and thats a big IF they can do that. The game has a real chance at becoming better.

I'd also like to know why us computer players have to deal with a console UI. If we're not going to be playing with console players. They need to re-design the UI for us to be more in line with sooo many other MMO's. The player base shouldn't be relied upon to make add-on's where their UI utterly and epically fails.Personally I'm a clicker. But it has worked for me since MMO's were created. I'd like to be able to move my toon and "click" my abilites, not push 190213892238 different buttons. It's just plain dumb. I had friends in a different game not even bother with ESO because of this. They said the UI was too wonky to play. Really love to be able to have all my skills useable and in front of me. Trying to pick a select few for a total of 14 across 2 bars makes every class have a cookie cutter build that everyone uses. There's no room for error in PvP. It's either on your bar or your dead. You can't adlib and win the battle.

That's all i got for now. I'll add more if something comes to mind.

Probably stupid but... can you ask them whether the problems regarding PvP are mainly caused by the server not being able to handle all the information?

And if it could be fixed by shutting down Cyrodiil (or even the whole game) for a couple of days to get better servers? (And if they would have budget for that?)

Are people expecting that these invited guests are the equivalent of Moses and will be bringing the new Commandments that cover AoE, class balance, zergballs, and everything else? That ZOS will simply drop everything and bow to the new Commandments?

I hope that people don't expect that "ZOS will be set straight" by this. I think reality is going to be very different from that.

am certain open for other suggestions/solutions to the points I made - i do not put myself forward as knowing the solution for every problem in PvP, rather, as stated in the open letter, the suggestions can be used as a starting point to find the solution that works best for the community

Personally, and for what it's worth, I am against this, for several reasons:
    1. These people were not selected by the community, they were hand-picked by ZOS, mostly because they represent the largest guilds (which collectively constitute less than 20% of the player base). Because they were not elected by the community, there is no guarantee they will represent the concerns of the community.
    2. Some of the people going are the leaders of the "skeleton team" that pioneered the AOE zerg ball meta which is ruining the game.
    3. Flying people around the world for a round table? What are we, the Bilderberg group? Have we HEARD of telecommuting? Do we REALLY need an ESO mile high club of elite greenhouse-gassing around the planet "to represent the interests of the people?"

I understand ZOS wants to establish a sense of connection with the community, sort of like WoW does with Blizzcon. They want to let people know "we care, we're listening," and that is a good thing, in principle.

However, part of the success of Blizzcon is that it is open to anyone (that buys a ticket), and you have a fairly equal chance of having your questions and concerns addressed, as anyone there with their hand up can get picked to pose a public question for the record.

I sincerely hope some good comes of this. I'm sure it will be fun for the ones that get to go.

A small step in the right direction. Only issue is all the fun guilds have already left the building. The issue is not much fixing what is broken...the issue is making stuff that IS broken and keep making stuff that breaks.

You can talk to the community (which I honestly doubt is really going to do anything if you look at the amount of official comments in the War forum) but when you push patches that make people crash every 2 minutes for a week without even addressing the issue and keeping your head in the sand it doesn t help. So I think this is mostly to try to calm down the rabble rabble and give the impression that the company cares.

    I don t think they do...honestly

    more than happy to

Cyrodiil with all the current lag/crashes on top of all the other stuff has, for me, basically become an unpleasant place to be and i haven't even logged in much the past few days as a result of it - they are definately going to hear about it

I get where youre coming from here, but what would be a good alternative. a forum voted popularity contest?

Yes, they could have telecommed it, but flying people out to their headquarters shows dedication on the part of ZoS (good PR move), and assures that the invited players are there on time and with minimal distractions.

the 'impulse zerg meta' everyone complains about is our own fault anyway, instead of coming up with alternative builds or counter strategies.

If I may make a request.

Anything about making the werewolf skill line more useful, easier to use for longer periods of time, and maybe making it a semi-permanent thing instead of 30 seconds of ...stunned, stunned, dead.

Talk talk talk talk talk. Looking into it. We are working on it. Cyrodiil has been broken for months and it is known exactly what the causes are. We dont need to sit down at a table and talk about it. We need aoe caps, perm cc, and forward camps to be fixed....sigh.
    Edited by c0rp on September 29, 2014 3:49AM
Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.

    how about:

fessing up to screwups - "sorry, my bad" instead of "working as intended"

fixing the postern doors within 20 days of summit conclusion, they have been broken for mths, and should have been fixed mths ago!

a 'scrutiny list' that shows specifically where Zeni's resources are being directed - what is being looked at/fixed right now, complete with progress updates on each, atm it's just 'we're looking into it...'. obviously u have to understand a problem to fix it, but sooner or later something has to actually be done about it!

weapon swapping still not fixed: i know a lot of ppl who still have to 'spam' weapon swap to get it to work in combat. i do not have detailed knowledge of how it all works, but have noticed sometimes if u respawn at a gate, it takes a while to load all the trees/buildings/etc, during that time u can move, jump, look at inventory - but not swap weapons. is there a priority list for what to process first? seems to me environment is loaded and damage is calculated before weapon swap is processed, which makes it useless in combat, because combat is a situation of constant loading. some people don't have this issue and can swap at the drop of a hat, but a lot of us struggle with a damn basic function. (note - only in PvP, PvE works correctly)

add to that all the general comments about lag, and the general feeling of neglect for the PvP environment, and general lack of communication with those locked away inside 'fortess zenimax'...

This is a great idea. I just hope that all those representing their respective part of the game (PvP, PvE, RP etc) all accept and understand what the others are there to discuss also. Hopefully everyone attending remembers they are not just representing guilds but the whole player base of the game and they work together with ZOS to find suitable solutions to the game that cater for everyone. PVP for example may not be able to get everything they want but may be able to get a decent amount that co-improves aspects of PvE also.

We are all in this game together and hopefully the ESO community as a whole can benefit greatly from this with many improvements to the game.

Why do I get the feeling that ZOS has invited all their AD pet guilds from pre-launch? I'm not going to accuse anyone specifically, but there were guilds on the PTS server that didn't report things to further their own ends. I'm not sure I am comfortable with some of the people who will be representing me.
