PLEASE remove these huge hip pieces from light and medium armor

Or at least give us a way to hide them, like we can with our helms. You give us motifs for different crafting styles and dyes so we can make our armor look good, but there is no way to do that with these huge hideous hip pieces hovering around our sides.

And logically light and medium armor wouldn't have such pieces in the first place. I can see the heavy metal based armors having these as they are going for full protection. But why would anyone wearing a robe worry so much about their hips being hit when their head and other vital organs are only being protected by a light piece of cloth? And those who wear the medium leather armor usually choose this for the agility and dexterity, which would be totally screwed up by heavy hip pieces on the sides.

So besides how ugly they are, they just plain don't make sense for most armor types. Please remove them.

You don't like the trucker mud flaps? Well, me either. They tend to clip through 1h weapons as well.

*On a side note: apparently if you type mud & flaps as one word it is some kind of argonian profanity.

Well, considering that the first fix or two will have the obligatory bug....

Those flaps provide cover so you can run around without pants.

You know, while this is pretty low on the list of things that bug me, they are still pretty awful. Why a set of robes would have dangling flaps, I cannot for the life of me understand.

They are called Tassets and they have no place on light armor and don't make much sense on medium either.

Why didn't my wood elf need them until level 25, and why cant I get rid of them?
Also, why do they float in midair unattached to my character's hips?

Pretty low on my list of annoyances as well, had some hope when they added jerkins, but no such luck.

Being rid of the mud flaps floating in midair wouldn't make me better at killing things, but it would be a great quality of life fix, maybe even better than armor dyes.

I prefer the current method as opposed to something more realistic that would connect all the pieces together for something rather ugly. To be fair... Armor (regardless of weight) is just plain ugly when you look at it from a fashion sense.

Idk, the 1980's shoulder pads bug me more tbh. If I had to choose one fix, shoulders would go.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

They could really take that outfit system from LOTRO and add to it so we have even more options.

    i have one,
if all the outlanders wear the mudflapps on thier hips then we of nobility will obviously shine and look much more appealing as we would not have those hidious things hanging down from our belts, so i must admit then that having these muddflaps on common armor is still somewhat appealing to maintain.

Yeah and worse is sitting on a horse, from the back it looks like you need to empty your 7-day joggers.

As far as them not connecting to the body, did Armor pieces do the same in other ESO games? Did they choose a totally different modeling system for ESO?

No way, leave it in. The armor is already kinda bad here and this would make it worse. Want to see something real funny? Make a set of Heavy Bosmer armor and put it on an Orc. Although the same effect shows on every one, I made my Orc nice and fat, thus it ends up really standing out.

PS I call it the "skinny jeans armor"

The hip pieces are a bit over sized IMO, not as bad as most of the shoulders - those are the worst. They need to rework both those parts.

I agree, some of them are far too large, I'd love to have the option to remove them. The Khajiit light armour shirts are really pretty, especially the materials at vet level being embossed and such, but they're completely ruined by those huge saddlebag tassets :(
