The error that everyone seems to get is that the ESO has stoped responding I have a gaming computer with a powerful processor, over 16gigs of ram, and strong graphics card and I never had problems, but lately i'm crashing left and right. I can't stay in the game for more then 10min...

Its nothing on our end. It is all server side from eso.

People are stutter stepping everywhere and it takes 1-2 seconds to swap weapons, a second between bolt escapes and shields. I'm losing to single players because I'm fighting in slow motion and a second behind everyone. I watched netflix all night, figured I'd try again in the morning and the same thing.
My network is freaking solid right now, I'm getting 21 MS ping to speedtest.net and 20MBs down and 2 Mbs up with a solid 40 ms ping to google and my DNS. My computer isn't even operating at close to it's peak and I've reset all video settings to default to see if that helped (it didn't).
This isn't an FPS drop it is just pure network latency on ESO's end.
I'm so freaking sick of the [snip] I have to deal with on a daily basis with this game. It's a never ending [snip] after every freaking patch and this is the content we're freaking *paying* for. The game ran 10 times better on launch than it does today.
I thought that was just me. I wasn't getting any response when asking if others were seeing it. I didn't see it last night due to constant crashes.
This morning it was brutally bad latency. Rubber banding, frequent delays to skill activation, or even using doors. Doing a push or a dive on an enemy group was almost certain death as you would arrive and be taking damage before the client registered. A few times though I'd jump in and have multiple people dead before they even realized/registered I was there, obviously not seeing me until it was too late. Weapon swap was unresponsive as it gets.
I reset my router on the way out the door, expecting that to be the issue. If others are reporting it, then I may not be alone.
Something changed in the code that just wrecked the stability worse than usual.
I hope to God you're right and they fix this quick. I've asked a lot of other people and they don't seem to be having this issue. I rebooted my computer several times, rebooted my router, cable modem all to no effect. I figured I'd try my hand at craglorn and I couldn't even do that, the constant latency killed me a half dozen times before I decided to just call it a night.
The only other possibility I can think of is an internet router having issues between hop points from my location to Zenimax's server farm. I've actually seen that happen before in some business communications to servers across state. You wouldn't happen to live in Ohio would you?
Craglorn was 100% OK stability wise with me while leveling up to V14. I did grinding, the Public Dungeon, and all the Delves, and even some Dragonstar Arena. It all appears to have been ok.
The instability in the client and performance started the moment I stepped into Cyrodiil and has not let up yet.
And no, I'm not in Ohio. North Texas.
EDIT:
FYI, reports are that Blizzard games have been seeing similar latency. In response, a Time Warner Cable admin (and gamer) posted the following --TWC Admin wrote:Hi all, I work for TWC in Dallas, Texas. I am getting the same lag issues currently. I can tell you first hand that Blizzard normally says its the ISP. They told me it was my ISP also (aka my company). I don't know what is causing the lag because I have fixed any and every possible issue on my end. It is 100% on Blizzards end. So don't let them fool you. It is still possible that you have some things that are faulty. I think at this point.. we will have to ride it out until they figure it out. Or until enough people quit that their servers can handle the traffic.

Or client side in the new code we downloaded.

Must be one of those "grouping improvements" we know how improvements go so far in this title. I mean the interior lighting went over so splendidly.

Even a studio with no prior experience in online games should understand what regression testing means.
What I need to see is not a mea culpa topic after each and every update. What I need to see is a commitment to organizational change, with specifics and a date of compliance.
1. Full regression testing of each update prior to release.
2. Implementation of Quality Assurance as such, not as play testing or as product acceptance. This must include veto power for the head of QA over any release.
3. Feature lists approved by the head of community management and created in consultation with the community management team. Like the old days. You have some great community people serving this game and my sense is that they're not part of the development team. I hope I'm wrong.
Being a member of a live team is customer service work anyway. Forgive my tone but I'm not feeling served. Heck, there are broken quest chains after this patch I'm not even seeing listed.
Each customer reported snafu in this topic not listed in the original post should be an embarrassment to the organization. Instead it's become customary. Unbelievable.

lol i luv when i crash out right as im charging into a group, must look hilarious from their perspectiveMormondPayne_EP wrote: »It seems to make no difference to me if I am grouped or not.
