Still sorta crashing although of a different nature. What is happening now is that the game will freeze, only I can move. Then after ~20 seconds it will take me back to the login screen, no error message, no crash, no nothing.
Then usually takes a good 5 times trying to login after to get back in, each unsuccessful login ends with "Unexpected Error, please try again later".
I played for 3 hours or so last night without a crash, and I was crashing every 15-30 minutes before the patch. So, I think they fixed something, but maybe they broke something else in the process...
Crashed twice in the three hours I was playing. Looks like it's back to pre 1.4 levels. Actually it was relatively smooth. Even weapon swap was working. Hopefully it's not a fluke and this keeps up.
I was just thinking of how many other MMO PvP games Ive played and never crashed. Now crashing only a few times in ESO is acceptable. Wtf? I say zero times is acceptable!
No crashes since patch. I get freezes sometimes which before result in a crash always. This time, game recovers and I don't crash. Freeze lasts for 3 seconds tops. By freeze I meant nobody is moving including me, like the game is paused.
I'm playing in windowed mode, vsync off. Graphics at medium with the toggles set to off (i.e. shadow, etc)
PC NA
Games are meant to be played.
Back in Auriel's Bow 1.0, I have thought that the best way to handicap a faction with the HUGE pop advantage is to temporarily disable their grouping functionality and their ability to fight in 3rd person point of view! Let's see if these do not even up the odds.
So it fixes for a few, but majority still pretty bad?
I'm ok with progress.
August Palatine Davadin Bloodstrake - Nord Dragon Knight - PC NA - Gray Host
Greymoor 6.0.7 PvP : Medium 2H/SnB The Destroyer
Dragonhold 5.2.11 PvE : Medium DW/2H The Blood Furnace
March 2021 (too lazy to add CP) PvP: Medium DW/Bow The Stabber
Has anyone noticed any relation between being in a group and the amount of crashes they experience?
Was in group half the time last night and crashed once in 4 hour and decided to go to bed.

No crashes yesterday for me, yippee! Having said that I did experience some abominable lag and a couple of infinite loading screens. It was better though.
so I've tested the game on two completely different laptops. One being my dual-core Macbook Pro, the other being the bfs quad-core windows laptop. these are the differences I've noted so far:
MacBook: Load screens not very long. Still runs smoothly while using medium graphics for a few minutes, then completely freezes and laptop has to be rebooted. This happens on a very frequent basis while just playing solo in PvE. Turning graphics all the way down did not seem to have much effect on this either. Consumes huge amounts of memory while playing now.
Windows: Load Screens last FOREVER. have to turn graphics down to almost non-existant to even get it to run. Gameplay then very choppy/jerky. not sure about crashes though as I did not get to test it for very long. Will test again during the weekend and report my findings.
The lag last night (EST) on Thornblade was probably the worst I've seen yet. Many people couldn't use any abilities, and then everyone crashed at the same time. A lot of us couldn't even put siege down.
Crashed once yesterday, better than recently but far from "fully fixed".
And yeah Thornbalde EU last night was Lag Central. I felt as if my every action was going through a proxy server on Mars or something.
Tried Azura's and but AD are dead there and it's mostly blue & red trains on a otherwise underpopped server. Haderus and Chillrend were quieter than a morgue.
Had to wait till after midnight to do some lag free PvP on Thornblade
We did fix a crash that was occurring in Cyrodiil with patch 1.4.4, so you should be seeing some improvements at this point. We are continuing to look at additional issues that could cause you to crash, though.
Played 3 hours of fully locked pop last night and did not crash once. There were the occasional freezes, but as long as I did not hit the "this program has stopped responding, click here to force close" button, ESO would unfreeze.
I tried Cyro after the patch but it's not fixed. Crashes were farther apart but definitely not fixed. I did notice as the population decreased into the evening that the crashes or freezes occurred less frequent (NA Thorn pst). Didn't even bother to play last night and won't until another a patch or hotfix happens.
I had one evening of decent gaming in Cyrodiil after the last patch/maintenance, I only crashed ones that day.
Now it's back to normal again, crash crash crash, until I give up and log of.
There are 3 types of crashes.
One where the entire screen freezes and you're eventually sent back to loading screen. The other is where you get a Windows message saying that ESO stopped responding.Third one is when you get the ESO error message, than asked to describe what you where doing.
The last one, I haven't got since 1.4.4. I get the other two constantly though. This evening I crashes 11 times in 2 hours and gave up. It's really killing the game and the fun for me.
Being solo, small- or large group doesn't seem to matter at all. As soon as I engage in a larger PvP fight, it starts.
