Weapon swapping is no less likely to lost in queue than any other command. At least from what I have seen.

Most of the time swaping doesnt work for me is when I simply back away just holding down S, im not mashing anything. Im just backing away (or dodge) and keep pressing that button and nothing happens. And its no lag, cuz I can see the mobs moving and shooting.
As some said here weapon swaping should cancel anything you curently do (cast, attack, block, etc) and just swap. Not just canceling the animation, but the result aswell.
AGAIN, if I push the swap weapon button is because I NEED it.
Zos you either give me an ability bar with 10 slots (dont worry il get used to it) or you make the swap weapon work FAST AND 100%.

Weapon swap SHOULD autocancel actions. They need to add in a cancel to any action to the weapon swap command, and it would actually work.

I think that all actions should be persistent across hot bar swaps. Not canceling. Currently some abilities persist after a swap (like encase) and some don't (like summoned pets and armor).
The problem I have is that the current system isn't realistic in how it handles the weapon bar. I treat the weapon bar as a tool to group abilities in the sequence that I plan to use them and in this respect the hot bar works, but when the situation changes I may need to swap, but I want the previous effects to remain; I think this gives more flexibility.
The best argument that I heard (I still think it is a cop out) is that making ALL abilities persistent across the swap will unbalanced the game; maybe true in the game's current form, but the developers should have though of this in the first place before even committing to beta testing.
I also been having problems with swapping in congested mob fights, and I am guilty of constantly spamming the keyboard in panic sometimes. I though this was supposed to be fixed by placing the animations in memory? I have 64 GB of memory, more than enough to play ESO.

Hey Poodlemasterb16_ESO
You are correct, but that's not the point I was referring to. ESO in its current state is totally unbalanced and the solo VR content is currently a Nerf Ball.

The swap bar is not how I expected it to function.
So to ensure that a player cannot create an over-powered swap bar configuration, the developers choose not to make certain abilities non-persistent because the rest of the game's difficulty was nerfed.

No we do not need a two second cooldown.CapuchinSeven wrote: »I'm starting to think we need maybe a 2 second cool down or something, just to stop me accidentally swapping back because it lagged and didn't swap the first time.

You should understand keys like this almost always activate when you release it. Holding it down is a sure way to have it not fire.
I've noticed a significant difference between wireless and wired play.
When using wireless during lag-tastic battles, weapon swapping is iffy at best. I'm sure someone more technically competent than I can cite the multitude or reasons.
