Constant Crash to Desktop

Anyone else getting way more crashes? I have had three in one hour. I usually only crash once a night - around 3-4 hours of gameplay.

They come sporadically for me.

I had 3 crashes in an hour 2 days ago, then only one so far today in a couple of hours.

They seem to chiefly happen to me while I'm running a 60-0+ streak. I just can't seem to make it to 100 any more without a DTC.

The frequency has definitely been on the up however. I'm getting at LEAST 2 a night, usually 3-4.

I have experienced four crashes

One after 45 minutes
The second after 2 minutes
The third 20 minutes later
The last one 3 hours later.

Basically, siege defenses/siege weaponry being used seem to be the most common denominator for me, as the fourth crash didnt occur during a span in which I was open field fighting SW of Sejanus and BRK.

Once back at a keep, inside, it didnt take long at all.

I crashed *** left and right tonight lmao. Longest I stayed logged in for was liek 30 mins or soemthing.

Crashes are common for me on average once every 1 or 2 hours. They happen mostly during big battles. I'm running a Macbook. I also get this thing where everyone around me freezes - I can still move around - then after a minute it takes me to the starting screen saying unknown error has occurred.

Exact same thing. Except I would say happens more often for me. It can happen several times in a hour and sometimes the game will run oh so smoothly. Cant pinpoint the cause.

Its happened to me a few times over the last couple weeks. Seems to only be in Cyrodil and it doesn't matter if I'm near a zerg, or out in the middle of nowhere. It also doesn't seem to matter how long I've been playing.

Since Sunday I have been crashing with alarming regularity. I play on Haderus, EU and find that my game crashes even when not in combat intensive situations. I don't normally get many crashes at all and play on a high end machine. I suspect there may be some kind of underlying issue but I will wait and see if the patch changes anything before testing further.

I had a rediculas amount of crushing the last few days. I've reduced my add-on addiction from a total of 15 to about 4-5 in an effort to reduce the rate of crushes

Same but in thorn, so it has nothing to do with population, 2 of them were just doing nothing in a deep friendly keep.

Well if you guys want an actual developer response to this issue, unfortunately this isn't the forum you should be posting it in.

In fact if you want a response you should probably leave "cyrodiil" out of it altogether.

the more these performance issues crop up, the more I am convinced all campaigns actually coexist on the same hardware or virtual environment and are just phased like everything else in this game

would explain random lagspikes out of nowhere (another campaign happens to have an intense battle in that exact spot at that time, and you feel it even though you cant see or hear it)

Haha, sucks that this is true.

Crashed seven times within an hour on Thornblade today. Twice I experienced a crash about one minute after logging back in from the last one. I was greeted with a lot of enemies standing still.

Since 1.4 i have crashed 5 times last night

Crashed - loaded in - crashed immediately

that's how it went on for about an hour until i had enough and logged off.

Same. this is the new feature from zos. they forgot it to mention in patch notes.

- All players in cyrodiil has 80% chance to crash to desktop.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ have you been notified about this? it is occurring way to often for too many players to be considered a client side issue. Kind of hard to advertise a game around PvP and PvE when you can only PvE because you will surely crash in PvP all the time now.

Can't play more then 5 min with everyone being ONLINE in the same group now. Constant crashes near keeps and resources.

It is ridiculous the sheer number of crashes that I'm seeing since the patch. It's bordering on unplayable -- the type of unplayable that came with the FPS bug.

It's been consistent - I do not PvE so while my leveling is slower I have seen it non stop since the patch landed in Cyro.

I got dragged by my bootheels to Craglorn last night after an hour in Cyro with three crashes and for the hour and a half they were able to keep me awake I had zero crashes.

Similar experience. In Craglorn it was completely stable -- no performance or crashing issues at all. I did DSA, I did some grinding, some delves and dungeons. No issues.

The moment I'm back in Cyrodiil I have 5 crashes in 30 minutes. This is unacceptable. Numerous group mates had similar issues and oft times we would crash simultaneously, leaving the group at half strength.

It's the simultaneous crashing that helps point to there being some inherent flaw or issue with events or activities within Cyrodiil causing the crashing. Something is happening that is causing all of our clients to crap themselves.

Would not surprise me if the crashing is group orientated after they were "Fixing" group issues. Having @ZOS workers responding to other threads and not this on is very disheartening.

I am also convinced that the PvP server are in fact all on the same server and not individual ones which would explain a lot of the other lag related issues on some servers and not the others.

We're seeing this ALL THE TIME, Sometimes for the entire duration of a siege half the group is offline logging back in just to crash again and again. Sometimes you'll play for hours with no crashes, then crash 5-10 times in 30 minutes, or the other way around. New loading screens of death are back as well.

So we get crowns getting passed once a minute from crashes, siege weapons literally decaying by the dozen, and a nearly unplayable environment. I haven't seen people in droves logging off and saying "see you tomorrow, maybe it will be fixed I can't take this" since the FPS issues a few months ago. This is bad and needs a ZOS response.

None of these problems were here before the patch.

Thats crazy. One stop forward two steps back always with this game.

I guess the solution for now if you want to PVP is just to not group.

I played all day yesterday and desktop crashed twice and I think both of those times was when I was grouped with someone.

When you crash, are you getting any sort of error message? Also, are you all seeing this outside of Cyrodiil and Craglorn as well?

i crashed a few times and had windows saying it ran out of memory. yet the whole time i was monitoring my memory via task manager. was well with in the green, usually when i crash i attempt to log in it crashes . attempt again crash another 1-3 times at the logos or when u put your pw in. then get in and crash. i left pvp via way shrine crashed on loading screen. loged back in sat in crag by my self un-grouped didnt press any buttons or move my mouse and still crashed. this all happened in under 10 mins. no error message. half the time its crash to desktop, the other half get kicked out to log in screen with a unknown error has occurred. i notice when i log in my pw info it send allot of upload, then crashes to desktop. i usually cant log back in after a crash until i am either dead or i am offline in group.

I normally don't crash at all, but since the update I might go a couple of hours without one or I might have two or more in an hour. Sometimes I get the screen for a crash report, but once in a while I do not. No error messages.

This has been happening to me when I'm in Cyrodiil (Thornblade, NA). I didn't notice it in Craglorn but I was only there briefly to try the Aetherian Archive Trial last night. I haven't been anywhere else since the update.

It has happened grouped and solo, right after my character resurrects (a couple of times), when I open my quickbar while running (three times), and sometimes when I am just running. I though there might be a pattern at first but I haven't seen anything that is obvious and consistent. Local internet speed is fine and I've been running the game on lowered graphics (medium at present) for a while to avoid lag and fps issues.

(Not sure if it's related but ability activation has seemed a bit sluggish at times as well, yet that could just be extra lag or something similar.)
