I wonder what percentage of Emperors have been Vamps?
So in patch 1.4.0... "Night’s Silence: Fixed an issue where this set bonus wasn’t being applied."
In 1.4.2... "Fixed an issue where you could stack the Dark Stalker passive with the Night’s Silence..."
lolwut... So they fixed it, then nerf bat... This shows me it was intended to work as it is now...

Thanks, then i think its fair as traveling on foot should always keep at somewhat realistic speeds.

LOL... the word 'realistic" used in reference to a fantasy MMO....

For starters.
- The vamp+ set crouch speed bonus ONLY work when you're completely crouched. So you CANNOT be in combat... So no one is using this to get away from a fight.
- Yet sorcs can still BE on and our or combat and be faster than anyone else in game. They can stack sets and have the best resource management in game and get unlimited magicka... Yet even when sneaking you're limited to your stamina pool... Cuz that makes sense?
- You have people bitching about stuff like this that obvious have no clue what they're talking about. First thing I stated is never brought up by anyone complaining. In a race vs a max speed horse, horse wins vs vamps... Vs BE... Yep BE wins!!! Yet where are the complaints about BE? I that's right, everyone's a sorc and uses BE so no one complains about it because they're all teleporting around near endlessly.
- Split things like this for pve/pvp... Remove certain sets from pvp... Remove silence.. Remove warlocks/LICH... Remove any other set that gives a blatantly "over powered" last bonus from pvp.
- Stop balancing pve around pvp. I happen to love running around in this game and taking in the beauty. I also hate having to use my horse because I hate being knocked off it and having to get off to harvest or talk to an npc. Why can't I run around in pve with this set combo and actually enjoy traveling around. I'll gladly take the fire damage hit for being able to enjoy a huge part of this game, traveling and exploring.
- Stop, balancing, pve and pvp, together!!!!!! Stop

it makes sense tho, I mean, I regularly summon swarms of bats that also heal my wounds in real life to destroy my enemies. It's all about realism.

This nerf was not to balance pve with pvp. This nerf was because a few whiners cried about it saying it was OP in pvp and Zos gave in and nerfed/broke it.

No, if I am going to get punished so are all the carebears. It's equally irrelevant in pvp.
I really don't care how much you love exploring. I like exploring too, just in cyrodiil.
Jesus, if I actually believed these forums were representative of the populace, I would push a lot harder for world pvp and full loot rights to expel the dead weight.
This won't affect any of my characters but for those affected I'd suggest waiting to see how this affects your enjoyment of the game (ugh, too many affects). You may find that once you have adjusted to your slower stealth speed your replacement set gives you more prowess in whatever type of battle you favour.
I will say however that, although I haven't voted, my gut feeling says it is an unfair 'adjustment'. The out of combat speed of other characters didn't harm my game (mainly PvP nowadays). Other team members could keep up without mounting a horse like the rest of us. Not a huge deal, was it?
Lastly, shame on those of you calling the wearing of a 2-set combo an exploit and/or abusive. It was no such thing and I bet you don't give a second thought to your own combos that stack damage power, crit percentage, stat recovery etc. I know I don't, so I won't follow you down the road of hypocrisy.

I am really shocked at how many players are defending this broken mechanic. It is painfully obvious moving in STEALTH as fast as a mounted player was never intended.
Hell, moving the same speed as a non-stealthed player shouldn't even be possible unless you specialize greatly in a stealth build(concealed weapon morph +vampire for example).
It was incredibly stupid seeing players zipping around in stealth so fast, and yes, it is imbalanced in PvP.

Clearly you don't realize how much of an investment it took to move that fast. Moving as fast as a non-stealthed player should always be POSSIBLE if you "spec right".
Moving this fast did not imbalance PvP -- only vamps can do it. In order to do it, they have to waste 5 pieces on a crap-set of stamina-build armor. 99% of these players are horrible because they're vulnerable as all hell. A 5-piece set with one fire-resist jewelry piece only leaves room for 3 pieces and two jewelry or 4 pieces and jewelry if you're weird enough to go DW for the bonus.
So basically, these players are limited to that set and 3x 2-piece sets, 2x 3-piece sets, one 4-piece, or maybe another 5-piece if the player went DW AND found a matching set that allows jewelry.
All of that for some stealth speed against your ability to stack a couple of 5-piece sets?
... seriously ... if you don't stomp that sneaker 5 seconds after they appear, you haven't specced yourself right.
Too many people hate on stuff here just cuz they didn't like it themselves.

I don't care if they had to stack poor stats in every slot. That's not the point. Moving that fast in stealth is just imbalanced, immersion breaking, and silly.
If you support moving as fast as a horse while crouched, I can only assume you would be okay with being able to fly(as long as you needed to be a vampire and wear a set of armor of course, sacrifices right?).
Or a skateboard, why not? You can move twice as fast as a horse if you use a set bonus that gives you a skateboard. It doesn't make you powerful in combat, so its cool right?
You still neglect to say how you think it is not balanced. How does this give a battle advantage that can't be overcome?
