Make Imperial city need Tyro rank to enter

I think Tyro and up is a decent idea however I doubt it's going to happen. FYI it will take you more than a few hours to hit Tyro unless you do some sort of exploit or have a very very very busy campaign. My campaign has almost no action atm and am in need of switching big time. -.- However, I am taking the time to Guest in each campaign as it becomes available again before deciding which to transfer to. Mine is heavily AD dominated and while that's great, it seems EP and DC have raised the white flags. Every time they come out, we have to be nice and try to let them feel motivated by toying with them. Then we slaughter them and wind up with nothing to do again. While it's amusing and wonderful for bonuses, it's not good for constant AP!

Took one of the people I was grouping with awhile ago 1 day to get tyro (I remember because he was barking out orders and I told him to get tyro before telling people what to do, and the next day he proudly let me know he had achieved tyro :P )

In a dead campaign, yea it will take awhile.
Dear Sister, I do not spread rumors, I create them.

Since this is a PvE area with a PvP req to enter so maybe the PvPers should have to have some high end PvE achievement to enter.

its not high end, it takes a day max to get tyro

Indeed. Besides, there's already a PvE requirement for Imperial City of similar standing to the proposed Tyro PvP rank; getting to Level 10.

No arbitrary gates to enter content please, especially one as meaningless as rank.
so everything should just be handed over then? why not just hand out purple equipment or rare motifs to everyone who starts the game then? after all there is arbitrary gates to get into craglorn(you have to earn vr1)

This is a classic example of hyperbole.

Better make PeeVeePee'ers beat Malog Bal first just to be fair hey?

if they wish to go to other alliances zones then yes, they do need to beat molagbal and if they want into a pvp reward area then they should have to pvp some.

There is no PvP in PvE zones, but there is PvE in PvP zones.
Anyone who thinks PvP requirements will be required to access additional content like this is delusional.

every endgame zone is locked its a time sink, if you want to get the reward given for pvp then you should have to pvp if i want the reward for trials then i have to run the trials, why should one be given away while the other is not, mabey we should just give away trials gear to anyone that enters craglorn?

That is not the same at all.

The right comparison would be saying you cant ENTER the trials unless you have something like tamriel hero achiv to prove you have done enough PvE content.

A player that wants the rewards from the imp city would still need to enter and play in there to gather said rewards.

Nobody is saying that they should just give everything that is in the imp city to anyone that enter cyrodiil.

That is the absolute greatest example of hyperbole in all of the universes that exist, have existed, or ever will exist until time ends.

if you unlock the imperial city to everyone even people who have never set foot on imperial soil, then you need to unlock craglorn to all non vet chars, its exactly the same thing, some requirements need to be meet to enter the area(and craglorns are actually harder to get)

Cryodiil is gated. You must be level 10 to enter.

Honestly , i believe from now on only player who got cadwells gold AND at least the hero achiv of ALL three factions should be allowed into craglorn.

No more grind exp for PvP players , if they want the PvE content , they must earn it.

Level 10 takes MAYBE 5 hours of doing stuff. VR takes many more hours than that.

OP's sense of entitlement is hilarious, this is an idea that is historically Darkness Falls from DAOC, OP says he remembers DF from DAOC and didnt agree with how it was implemented, well sorry your one of the minority on that one chum, suck it up.

DF was one of the best ideas any MMO has had to date, PVE dungeon unlocked via PVP, yes i understand the point is its unlocked via PVP, but essentially its a PVE zone, the reward for unlocking it was better exp / gear / seals / raid mobs.

Coupled with the fact other alliances would log out toons there to PVP / PVE, soon as DF switched hands there would be a mad rush to get to the enemies side ASAP to clear them out, this was brilliant fun, but once cleared whats left? PVE, tons of PVE mobs with great exp dropping seals that could be exchanged for mediocre gear (design flaw imho) and some raid mobs poorly implemented, however it was one of the best zones to level up in, you could enter at 10 and leave at 50, all the while have that sense of fear that an enemy stealther could pop up at any given moment and take you out, just added to the fun imo.

Trying to dictate who can and cant enter via some rank is just noobish at best and makes you come across as some elitist muppet who doesnt see the bigger picture.

*Giggles...if that (a sort-of DF) happened here, TESO PvE-land will be echoing ;)

not much of a pvp person myself atm but i like this idea. in any mmo i think it sucks that people can piggy back from anyone that actually pvps. so maybe some work should be put in to accomplish certain rewards yes?

I especially like the part where most people here think Pvp in this game means you have some level of skill
