Like Kewljag said above, this change removed the strategy for me. Attacking a group of 3 used to be a big deal, I had to plan my approach, make no mistakes and observe my surroundings so that I didn't aggro any other mobs around the group.
Now, I just run in and slay them on auto pilot like it was in 1-50. I can go back to listening to audiobooks while I play this game, because my brain isn't needed(or stimulated) during the actual PvE combat.
I am happy with the update. Especially being a vr3 templar majika build healer. I rolled through the vr1 level without any problems, then hit vr2 and said whoa! This ain't gonna be as easy anymore... what did I have to do? I adjusted as I do to bosses and switch to basically one attack and spam the crap out of puncturing jabs... I used to kick back and throw a spear at the archer to knock back, an eclipse at the magic user ( I love that spell), and throw down a healing circle what ever, but after vr2 I couldn't afford to waste majika, they were hitting me way to hard, so I adjusted and would run up to the group make sure all three where in my cone and spam, spam, spam Sweeping Jabs, and hope that I killed them before I ran out of majika.. It worked and I died very few times, but felt I was a one trick pony. Now I can start using more of my repertoire again, not to mention I can start leveling my mage guild spells that I neglected for way too long. Kinda bummed I spend gold on a custom set of new vr3 light armor that gave me more of a health buff because I hadn't heard about the nerf to the vr content till after I spent 11k. But I am a happy now that I can explore different ways of killing and staying alive rather than spamming my sweeping jabs, that was just plain NOT FUN.
Speaking of Sweeping Jabs, I was so happy when they changed it in the previous update to allow it to regen health, but again, vr2 content made it a race to DPS between me and them because of how hard they hit. I was deathly afraid to hit vr3 level... Now a happy camper...
I don't claim to be awesome at my Templar, and I've heard we are the weakest of the group, but I have fun playing the game, and plan my attack most of the time. I find it tedious getting a group together a lot of the times. I have a rather long friend list but I play at different times and have to quit sometimes without much notice, (kids & wife stuff) so I hate getting a group and having to bail... I haven't done PVP yet, but I plan to after I finish the main content.. I do understand the hard core players that really like the challenge, but the darn group dungeons IMO are a challenge, the bosses are a challenge and the Dolmens are a challenge unless with a large group. So I feel it was a good move...
And to all the folks who completed to VR12 the hard way without leveling from Craglorn, my hats off to you and I hope you can get a title that says you are the man, but I doubt
sorry.
Out in VR-7 I have noticed any changes. It is still just as tough as pre-patch for me. Mobs have same hit points, hit just as hard, and a group of 2 is 50/50 win while 3 is a definite loss unless ultimate is up. Where is the change ?Like Kewljag said above, this change removed the strategy for me. A lot of us weren't getting destroyed by trash mobs. If some people were, that would indicate unbalanced classes/builds, not difficult content.
Yes, very...
But please do bring out some more uber hardcore content to keep these "Radicals" happy or they'll start chewing the furniture, or something.
Looking forward to going and treating some trash mobs the way they should treated, like trash, with prejudice.

That being said, I personally do not like the changes, but I understand why others may like them.
The problem with the super easy VR levels is that you will end up with VR12s that do not have a mastery of their class, because they were able to level to the cap using a 2 skill rotation, standing in fire, never blocking.
Right now, if you group with VR12s, odds are that they aren't horrible players. They may have grinded anomalies, but for the most part they know how to block, and how to move out of the red circles.
Two weeks from now you will be grouped with VR12s trying to do VR level dungeons and getting wiped left and right because people will be playing like they did 1-50

This. You hit the nail on the head.

The block and move mechanics in ESO are kindergarten compared to other games, I wouldn't worry about people having issues with it.

I popped in very briefly after maintenance this morning and tried a couple of VR9 mobs that had given my poor NB some issues one my run through and found them to be much more beatable but not 'easy'.
As I have done content through with a stam build DW NB I think some tweaking was needed but only time will tell if it is too much.
