I think the changes are going to relieve a lot of pressure on Zenimax because more class builds will be able to complete the leveling content with less frustration.

That's a pretty bad way to go about balancing the different class builds. We're just going to get complaints from the better builds that it's too easy.

    I don't see indifferent as a choice.

It really does not matter in the grand scheme of things and to see people get so worked up over something as trivial as this is just...stupid. Sorry. I cannot think of a nicer way to put it. :)

I think this change is good for the game and I am glad it was made. I am actually seeing people in the upper level VR zones. I just completed the group challenges and quests in the public dungeons within my VR9 and VR10 zones. There were multiple people in them running around, which was a sight to behold. I cannot even begin to count the number of hours I have spent in my VR6-10 zones without ever seeing another player. Now I am seeing them in many places. Thank you, ZOS!

I feel like they have made it FAR too easy. I am a Vet 9 pwning so hard against vet 10 monsters and bosses. I can easily defeat them with no strategy. Dark anchors are just boring. I enjoyed when you needed to rally a group of 6 to complete one and there was a sense of accomplishment and reward. Yes at some places it was a little hard but this was overkill with the adjustments.

I am not happy with the slight nerfing of the VR content. I'm typically a solo'ing guy...and YES, it was very frustrating going through the VR content. but i appreciated the challenge. my character was only a dsp dk utilizing destro and that's where some of the vr content became a little tough. this in turn made me build up a secondary skill (heavy armour one hand & shield tank) that i now switch back and forth depending on the type of enemy. this approach was very satisfying because it made me think of different ways of progressing through. i now have basically finished most of the major quests and am pretty proud that i did it the (old) way.

i don't like the update at all. it cheapens the game...and especially the VR content. should have left it as is...

    my two cents...

Without fire-standers and button mashers, half the population of ANY game will disappear.

    This change was inevitable.

i see your back to being insulting after your apology and plea for understanding eh ? shows just how sincere you really are...

you should have just kept on insulting folk tbh . that way at least you look like you have the courage of your convictions. but everyone see's your true colours now i guess

All you elitist "I'm better than everyone because I played the game on hard-mode" are nothing but bad comedy. You don't deserve achievements, extra xp, loot, or even a pat on the back.

Going to VR10 without using Craglorn was asinine enough, I'm glad they fixed it so my future characters won't have to trudge through that crap again. It's better for the game as a whole. Half of you losers are the same peeps who wanted some kind of special recognition for beating Dolshia before the nerfs.

Pathetic and sad. Go buy yourselves a box of cookies and get on with your lives.

Edited for spelling mistakes, grammer, over-the-top insults, violent tendancies, anger management issues, and anything else I deemed unworthy of your reading.

well zos could give them a new achievment and title something like " i think i'm better than you" or " i need validation in my life from video games" that should satisfy their need to feel special

Why don't you remove VR leveling as there is no more VR zone now. :\
Just let it be level 50 max
all players can enjoy whatever they want, easy leveling to 50, pvp, ava, pve whenever they want.
    It is a stupid change

Yes, only for the fact now that trash mobs are exactly that, trash. I should be able to walk in, guns blazing and not giving them a second thought.

As for bosses being easier, I don't have any on my map that I hadn't been able to complete to go back and check, I do hope that they aren't too easy now.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't seems to be the conclusion of vet content becoming easier. It makes sense that the trash is easier to put out, but I don't want my bosses to be easy.

I love it. VR is actually fun now. I just re-subbed.

It's not over-nerfed. It's fun and I feel like I want to do the quests now.

This game is getting watered down by patch all though the overall game performance's are much needed.

I really do love ESO but I feel like Zos are now appealing to the ones who have already unsubbed, leaving this game a completely different beast then when it started.

I could even take all the adjustments but the major changes to the drop rates for crafting materials, felt like the last remaining vestige of the game removed from what I used to enjoy.

The game seems more and more like ghost town and my contact list remains under 10 on at time when I used to see upwards of 20-30 consistently.

Please continue to improve the game but don't forget About the rest of us who are still here.

    Thanks,

I don't think it's as big of a deal as everyone is making it out to be. Hopefully when more adventure zones and raids are released people will be able to get their difficulty fix. Though I do think the nerf was a little bit too much, it's refreshing to not have to use the same five skills that I had found to be the only way to efficiently get through quest areas in VR. If it helps to populate the content, I don't really care if I can slice through vet mobs this easy.

If anything though I hope there is maybe a way to make special attacks hit a little harder, that way I still have to avoid the red. Enemy arrow sprays do almost nothing now, but honestly it was pretty ridiculous to get decimated by those puny archers before this update. I'm just hoping a middle ground is found.
On second thought, let's not go to the forums. 'Tis a silly place.

Undecided cause I just finished VR++ zone a few hours before the nerf, aside from one quest I didn't know existed till I found it and a few other basically completed but only have to hand it in. So now I don't really care too much about it as I'm going to move on to PvP and craglorn.

And going by some of the comments here, I'm glad that I finished it pre-nerf and got the most out of it.

Also something that ZOS could have done to make it easier was to take away the random lag spikes and delays, and in my humble opinion that would have been a huge 'nerf' for me as I would have been able to see enemies and their cues instead of seeing their cue with no chance to interrupt and see what is attacking me, I mean half the time I'm fighting I usually get hit by throwing knives, arrow sprays, fires, etc and 9/10 times I still manage to win with half of my hp intact against groups of threes...That or I'm used to the lag...

Ah well no point in arguing about it now, what done is done.

The Veteran system seems like it was added last minute to give people "more" content. I disliked leveling in the Veteran zones more than anything else in the game. It was not hard, just boring and repetitive. So I say it is better that there is less time going to be spent doing boring and repetitive tasks. I had a vr12 before difficulty nerf, had to say that in case of flames.

I am having fun doing quests again with my veteran nightblade and for the first time since becoming a veteran I put away the restoration staff and am back to using my bow and 2H weapon which is what I used for levels1 through 50.

It was wonderful to show up in my 3rd alliance zones today and actually see plenty of people playing. What a refreshing change from the ghost town these zones previously were.

I was finally able to beat a story line zone boss, the last one in that zone. I did it by myself! Vet 9 vs Vet 8 story line zone boss. I've been grouping up with at least one other person to defeat the story bosses at the end of the zones because they can't be stunned or knocked back. This change they did helped ZeniMax keep their promise and their original advertising that stated that we can solo play if we wanted to. This change helped them avoid a false advertisement law suit.

My initial reaction was that it was a bit too much. I will say though, after a few hours more, I'm enjoying questing again more than I have in a while (as others have said). Soloing doesn't feel as much like a tedious grind.

I'm really on the fence as far as the mob and overall game difficulty go. I feel I can adapt either way. However, I do take issue with having to assist opposing factions in order to advance my characters to V12.

The choices have been either do something that makes little sense thematically or find an unintended mechanic and grind like hell. There needs to be a better way. Something that offers more choices.

My main character was V1 when the grindfest was going on in Craglorn. I chose the high ground and avoided it. And I did that trusting that Zenimax would see that there needed to be another option to slogging through the two opposing factions to gain Veteran Ranks. Boy was I wrong...

So no, I am not happy. And I feel that lowering the difficulty is something that has potential to cause bigger problems later.

I'm liking it. Of course, I'm nightblade archer, so pure damage output isn't my take. I'm sure that those players who are used to doing more damage (any mage, essentially, or AOE spamming DK) would find the content completely trivial now.

I seem to hear a lot of love from Templars, too. The struggle before was exceptionally tasking. I like accomplishment in a 30 minute dungeon, or in a special zone. But the feeling of challenge wore off about VR2. After that, it was still mind-numbing, only you had less of a line to get bored and when you screwed up, you were dead.

One man's group assignment is another man's solo challenge. I'm fine with that. But basic leveling should have NEVER been a group assignment to begin with. Read my signature for more on how I feel about VR.

Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

It should be challenging! It's more fun... When they make these changes to difficulty (and sometimes raise xp), it's a SLAP in the face to the ppl who fought through it... who earned it..

    FINALLY!

For those of you that voted no, are you serious? Have you been to the Veteran zones lately? That last little undocumented "increase" in difficulty almost killed our game people! The average level is around VR4 as most don't want to become obsessive and waste their entire life trying to get through to VR12.

You ARE A HERO! You should not be getting destroyed by trash mobs every five seconds and have to group for solo dungeons. If you didn't have to do this, I highly suggest you put down your dragon knight pyro that uses the old destruction/healing combo and actually try to make it to VR12 as a melee build or some of the weaker magic builds such as Templar healers.

When I reached VR12 I literally asked myself why would I put myself through the punishment of making another character when I wasted so much effort getting to VR12 on my primary. The answer is, you shouldn't. The level of difficulty to reach max VR12 level alone was almost impossible without a countless death count and for those that cleared it in less than a week completely by yourself, you are a liar. Plain and simple. Hopefully now the vast majority of players can actually get to proper levels and we can have more diversity at the top level instead of these max-min WoW fanatics that apparently want to rule their elitist attitudes with iron fists.
