Fortunately, this will start to end the "Play this way" style that constricts the type/play style options in Veteran Rank content. Unfortunately, this may become the beginning of the end for challenging content. I was more interested in them buffing melee/Bow play styles rather than just lessening challenging content... oh well, I'll judge appropriately once I play with the changes. That is if the lag is fixed...

Would much rather have Dev focus on class/build balance so everyone doesn't have to have light armor and a staff to be viable. Much more important than worrying about content being too difficult (which it is not). And yes, after addressing the lag issues.

    Agree!

    I can't believe that from like 10 days (1.2.4) i'm paying a subscription for a game that isn't working.
This is a major bug, that destroys the endgame for who play pvp.
In every game, a bug like this would be HOTFIXED in like 1/2 days.

They should of done a roll back 2 weeks ago when the problem came up!
    Patch 1.2.3 nerfed the game....
    Zergballing wrecked pvp......

What is it with gamers and rollbacks? I see it in another MMO I play every time there's an expansion. It's not the silver bullet you're looking for.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

ZOS are pretty ambitious in pushing out new content, and I commend them for it. But I'd rather they halve that pace and actually test the content properly before they release it.

And don't give me the "but there are so many different computer configurations, it's impossible..." horseshit. Plenty of developers manage to do it, ZOS should too. They are new in the MMO game, so if they have to take it a bit slower, I think we all understand.

Rushing out untested content and breaking AvA/PvP for a large amount of people for over a week just isn't acceptable, especially when AvA/PvP is one of the larger draws of the game.

Rollback on the patch, not the players, if thats what you're thinking.

You guys are confusing yourselves a bit here.
Rolling back a client patch does not remove or reset character data, inventory and/or progress.
It is not the same as the server 'roll backs' that were occurring early on in the life of the game.
These are two different things entirely.

Would one of the devs please address the divine trait not working on set gear? I have heard nothing from them about this in all posts I have read. I apologize if I missed it, but this method of communication is sloppy and difficult to find any coherent information about the topics without reading over 20 pages of comments. They need to do a better job of providing this information in a more clear way.

Though it can get complex if the client patch involved server database schema or content changes on the server end.

And as I said, it's unfair to rollback the rule without rolling back the characters that benefited from rule changes being backed out.

This would be a really good (see; ideal) time for a Rep to come on and comment. Transparency is a very good thing in these cases.

    @ZOS_JessicaFolsom and another.

Reaper's March, A Traitor's Luck: the spy isn't spawning lots of players standing around in the same state.

Can't abandon 'cos the quest starting object is in a dungeon and CBA trying to kill the boss again.

    Can't /bug it in-game as the /bug command isn't working, never-endlng 'Loading...' .. LOL, nothing new there.

    [edit]

Fixed it according to this thread that was posted weeks ago, so yet another quest not listed in this OP even though it's been posted on the forums:

I seem to have gotten some improvement in the FPS issues from the latest patch.

I logged into Wabba and tried to find a big battle. I did not get any huge ones, but a medium-sized keep battle was going on. I could actually move around and fight reasonably ok in small battles. My framerate definitely got slower near the keep battle but it was at least playable, like maybe 15-20 FPS (as opposed to the 5 FPS i got before). I'm not sure if the improvement was due to the patch or just that I didn't get into any huge battles or Wabba was not highly populated, and I did still have some serious lag (a couple of times I went from full to dead instantly, and the death recap showed I had been hit multiple times, but I never saw the actual attacks and could not do anything till I was dead). But two things in particular gave me hope: my video card fan kept running all the time I was in Cyrodiil (it would stop before); and when I zoned back to the Shadowfen, the FPS returned to normal (it never returned to normal before unless I relogged).

So right now, it seems that the game is bordering on playable. It is not as good as it was before the 1.2.3 patch, but it is better than it has been for two weeks. I look forward to more extensive testing tonight.

Yes, Gina actually said that (at least regarding Rushed Ceremony) right here:

Why can't we have any developer discussions as to what is going on with the FPS drops and unplayable game. It's like 37 times more important than all the other discussions in the Developer Discussion section of the forums, and we have to all talk about it inside this Patch v1.2.3 Known Issues thread.

Please make a new thread entitled "FPS Drops causing Legions of Players to Unsub" or something similar. Oh and maybe some developer could actually discuss something about the topic in said thread, as so far I don't believe any Dev has mentioned this game ruining topic once anywhere on these forums. At least not the English ones. And I'm not talking about that stupid "oh we're sorry please have patience, we will fix it as soon as we can" garbage.

We want to know what caused it! Is there anything we can do to make the game actually playable? Why you can't rollback? Is there even anyone working on this or did all the devs get fired for incompetence?

I have read countless suggestions in other forum threads as to things players can do for temp fixes, and countless suggestions as to what ZOS devs can do to fix the problem. Can you verify any of these??? The players have probably already done your work for you or would be willing, but that would likely require you to have the intelligence to see it, so .......... all these people are trying to help and ZOS doesn't even respond other than with robotic statements from the forum Mod, so sad...

FPS not fixed and now I get insane load times. So now it takes me a long time to get into a game that is unplayable... hahahahahahahaha it is so insane now that it is funny to me.

Good luck folks. Today was my last day of subscription. No need to deal with this anymore. Had hopes to uncancel today due to a miracle patch... yeah I know...

    just insane.

A lot of people have had good luck with turning off their sound as a work around for the FPS issue. I know that it is not the best work around because sounds is very important in pvp, hearing which wall is being sieged or hearing fighting at your flank can make the difference between victory and defeat. But for those that are otherwise crippled by the FPS issue, playing worth sound disabled may make the game playable again.

ok so we get another stealth patch today (Tuesday) what was that for really getting sick of seeing patches but no info on what they are doing !!!!!! another FPS patch ???? like what the 20th now???? Get your act togeather :S, how about before you patch you tell ppl not too much to ask for... and thing like change logs etc, and as for the lag in pvp im pretty sure EVERYONE had this issue but if you dont play pvp for more then say 30 mins you prolly wont notice it, it seems the more ppl i see in a pvp session the lagger it becomes untill i log out/in and refresh.... cacheing issues? i think something isnt releasing player data correctly as the play sessions go longer only way to refresh it is to logout/in

Jerkins Requiring Breeches To Be Made[/b]: There is currently no toggle feature to change between robes and jerkins, and breeches must be made to replace a robe.
Could someone explain what this means? Are we only talking about appearances where you didn't see the breeches under a robe but you can see them when wearing jerkins?

Yes, would very much like to hear more about when it might be fixed. I don't want to wait months before I can get my Master Angler achievement and right now it is just this silly (and quite possibly, simple) bug that stands in the way. I really don't care about them being rewarded retroactively. Of all the rare fish those starter island ones are so easy you can catch them with less than 20 attempts.

For the cause of the FPS drops in Cyrodiil, my money is on the interior lighting update. I dare any Zeni Rep to come in here and tell me it's not without any concrete evidence to back them up.

The quickest fix is to give us an On/Off option for Interior Lighting.

I don't think his intention was to be rude. Honestly we are paying for this and it doesn't seem like they even know what is causing it. It's not comforting when they claim to have fixed a problem that is clearly not fixed.
