Mind answering how we are spoiled brats? We paid for a game that we are unable to play. You might like wasting your money when you can't play, but most people don't. So please stop being silly thank you.

Have you tried changing your graphic settings or update drivers?

On only lowering "shadow" settings for me made a huge improvement.

All items listen on your list, I don't have them :-(

I play on the NA server so something might be up with that one. Yes I have tried both of those to no effect.

Most of us have tried all of those things, and a lot of other methods. None of which are working. This is not an individual's computer or internet issues at all; this is just a major [snip] thanks to the latest patches.

Mind answering why you feel these little temper tantrums are going to speed the process up? They are working to get these issues addressed. It does you NO (see ZERO) good to toss ultimatums and fits of rage.

Take a break from the game. Sounds like most need one.

So by addressed you mean break 20 more things in the process making it more unplayable. Question do you like wasting money?

A lot of us work constantly (unlike you obviously) and have gotten little or no time to play the game recently, so it's ridiculous for you to say we "need a break". We're not angry because we've played too much; we're angry because we haven't been able to play at all due to circumstances we can't control. Read a thread before you make wild assumptions about the topic.

I submitted a ticket over a day ago, still haven't gotten a response either. I think they have so many people angry about it, they don't know where to start with all the complaints lol.

Unfortunately when people take a "break" that means they take their money with them and, with the nature of these types of games, they don't come back. No subs, no future.

This "hotfix" (presumably just a bunch of zeros) dashes any chance of saving their credibility. This was an awful attempt at a placebo: an outright lie and an insult to anyone with half a brain. There's no chance they can fix this. All doubts about their competence are settled and we can all move on and leave this dead horse.

    Both disappointed and disgusted.
I was a huge fan willing to stick it out to the end. And I believe I have.

Normally I wouldnt even consider this, but I am pretty sure Both EU and US servers are in the same datacenter, virtual environment. That explains why EU server, being patched after US, have less downtime and got some fixes in our downtime that US server did not get. This is just normal Datacenter and virtual environment practice. No magic.

There have been a few things I have noticed.

    Population.
    1. EU server are pretty crowded from lvl 10-50, even vet 1-3. However, being a megaserver this has NO meaning of the numbers of players. Can simply be less "phased" and balanced so no where really looks empty. My impression is EU server is getting more players. Illusion or not, dunno.

How is the pop on US server? It HAS to be bigger then EU? Which means a lot more "phased" zones.

    Service
    2. When the DK pull through walls exploit was discovered, it did not take long before GMs poped up on EU servers and "Zapped" some of the DKs who exploited this. I only seen posts demanding the same thing from US players. Did GM help in Cyro where these *bad word* DK players exploited this?

    Performance
    3. Overall performance. I have a very good computer, so ok. But I live in Sweden, got a ping like most other EU to US and thats a lag we cant do much about. My FPS from launch been around 30-35, ish.

Today, after several hot fixes and 3 patches to reload. And a very good tip from Reddit community to reduce my "shadow" setting from High to medium. My FPS shot up to 50-60! I have NEVER had this good performance in ESO and I started at launch.

In Cyro, I get around 30-35, In a group, in battle.

There still are stalls, some lag, but it is playable. Lots more needs to be done, but not 5 fps, which is unplayable.

When I press an attack, it does attack, not 2 seconds after!

Would EU server get better service from Zenimax? I doubt that!
But you may have a point. Problems on US, seams less on EU. Can have lots of reasons. Also, can just be speculation. But......if it is, what can it be?

1 I do not know how populated it is compared to EU(I have yet to play on the EU server) it seems fairly populated though.

2 I haven't been in cyrodiil recently I've been busy doing pve stuff. So I don't know if we have had our DK exploiters zapped.

3 The NA server had a hotfix today as well, It doesn't seem to have fixed the issue. I have tried messing with my settings and nothing has worked. I'm not the only only one with these issues. Here is a link to a thread on it. I don't know what could be causing these issues on the NA server compared to EU. http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/116299/horrid-lag-mobs-not-visiable-players-not-visiable/p2

k, just checkin' and trying to help out a bit. CS should really get on your ticket about this. It seems that they could use some of your system data and the report from the Game Consultant to improve the game.

Any possibility in fixing Concealed Blade ?

When coming out (or in) Shadowy Disguise
-unable to use Concealed Blade (about 20%) of the time
-able to use ANY other attack

It has something to do with the ANGLE of attack.
(i ran into this issue quite often in Cyridill recently).

Some how it DOESN"T allow (or nulls) Concealed Blade.

thank you for your continued effort..

We understand the frustration from those who are still experiencing crippling FPS issues. We're working around the clock on getting it resolved as soon as possible. As mentioned in the above post, we felt it better to do what we could now (even if minimal) than hold off on something that may help.

We know it isnt your direct fault, Jessica. What we want is information on what your engineers think is occurring and what they are proposing/planning to do about it.

Your community has a lot of high end tech savvy gamers in it, for all your engineers know we already might know what needs fixing.

I am not even joking, historically gamers have a better track record of figuring out workarounds or mods to rectify something professional system engineers and programmers broke or didnt implement properly.

Even previous TES titles have been very community modded and fixed over the years.

It just seems off to us that your engineers dont share, for all you know a powwow on the forums here with a bunch of technonerds like us might fix it in one day.

While I completely agree with you. the players, especially from games that requires mods, workaround or hell, commands to start something instead of pressing a mouse button, are maybe even more qualified to do certain things.

I do not speak for Zenimax, but working in IT with similar companies. They CANT give out their code. Competitors would LOVE it. Same people you talking about would copy it and there goes the business.

What I can see, they doing really the best they can.

Going over the line, but maybe not a wrong thing to do, is locate these real good players who knows their stuff. And hire em! ;-)

I do believe they have the competence needed. Basing that on the speed and complex task they are improving. Sure, can do better. Most done worse.

Cyro was my only real concern. That is now not a concern. :-)

They dont have to give source, thats the thing.

It could go something like this.

DEV: We have potentially identified X as the cause of the lag in Y circumstance. We plan to push Z to fix it, what do you think?

Players: Well, DEV, Z may fix X, but it is also going to affect W negatively and potentially cause memory leak in RSTLN E. Perhaps if we try plan B.

DEV: B may be possible let me check with the other engineers and see if we can work out a solution using that idea.

Do you have any idea how far a convo like that would go with the faith of the playerbase?

it doesnt even have to be specific. The DEVs are few, we are many. They have degrees, so do many of us. Bugs that are ironed out in the Beta process came due to the testing of many thousands of players. When they stopped listening to us, is when the bugs got game breaking and rampantly out of control.

Many of the people I know in game were heavily skeptical when the devs pushed a fix based on "restoration staff graphics" causing the huge FPS drop, we knew that wasnt it, I knew that wasnt even close. But we werent heard or heeded. It was a pointless patch that dashed the hopes of many. We need to know what they plan to do to fix things, because we know what is happening on our end.

its also rather telling when there are only four threads in this entire forum subsection in the three months of live, and there were literally hundreds during beta.

The devs stopped talking to us the moment money got involved.

Wow, every single word you say is 100% correct.

Still, think about it. What MMO have given out their code?

Thinking about it. But might cause more bad rep. The select few you are talking about, could have access to DEVS in some private forum/chat.

And discuss just that, with a lawyer present.
I dont think for a second Zeni lacks competence. But as you say, there are alot of people with many different insites and good ideas/understanding

Lets say Zeni does this.....how fast would a bigger part of the player base cry "WHAT, WHY ASK THEM AND NOT ME?"

Still there are ways to get the community involved. For example, lots of problems come because they have trouble identifying the bugs. It is difficult for them because they work in a specific number of different PCs all hooked at the internal testing server. Everything can work well in there but when it goes live, hell breaks loose.

So let me suggest something. Create a new campaign named debug. Have it at the same priority at live, as everything else. Everyone can join as guest with his actual alts, in their myriad "faulty" PCs and their actual live lag in a realy stressed server. Then ask people to come and help you. We have an fps problem people. If you are affected, come at debug. There you can have GM's asking people to do certain stuff, you can hear feedback, even have players recreating bugs for them. Even better, put a door in there that can send you to every instance in the game to check them out as well.

I know it sounds a lot like a PTS but it is on the live server with the live client. Use the PTS for future stuff and debug campaign for debugging.

No professional company with quality control and testing could introduce this many problems with already working content. Could it?

Disclaimer: Not trolling. You should investigate sabotage...

There are three conditions in your statement "professional company with quality control and testing". If the company is unprofessional, lacks quality control or skips proper testing, this is the expected result. "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

The "stupidity" in this case should be interpreted as organizational stupidity, not stupidity of individuals. I don't think anybody who is truly stupid would be able to land a job in the gaming industry, but mismanagement can hide even the most outstanding skills within a company.

On the bright side, organizational stupidity can be cured. If the code base is not a total mess, this game can still be saved.

    This so much.

This problem is turning into a last straw for a lot of people. PvP was the ONE thing that was keeping a lot of folks around. I sure hope this issue is being treated as what it is: a problem that very well may cost the game some of it's staunchest supporters. I also hope it is sleepless nights and general panic at ZOS as they work feverishly, around the clock, to fix it.

Kind of funny. I am pretty sure no other MMO company would want any of the eso code for its own work.

There would go the business. The other companies business of course.

Warhammer (EA/Mythic) gave permission to use part of their code after the servers were taken down. Maybe ZOS decided to use some of it...

We understand the frustration from those who are still experiencing crippling FPS issues. We're working around the clock on getting it resolved as soon as possible. As mentioned in the above post, we felt it better to do what we could now (even if minimal) than hold off on something that may help.
Thanks for working on it. I know it can't get fixed overnight. It is a frustrating problem in our guild (we had to cancel a guild event because the lag was so severe for some of our players). However, we know you are trying to fix it ASAP. I look forward to seeing the fix very soon.

Workers rights > anything else. Why would they work better under bad conditions? They are human and my FPS problems does NOT mean anyone should suffer in any way "because I'm a paying customer". I just don't have it in me to think that way, plus it not logical.

I will log in one day, be it tomorrow or next week, and the problem will be fixed. In the mean while I will have a look out for any news regarding this and try my best to ignore posts such as yours. This time I failed to ignore it, my bad.
