Beacause.. people are still necro posting in this one. No really, threads never really die it might seem. Wish someone could upload a video of a destro/resto dk trying to solo craglorn content but ultimately failing, showing us that not every such build/player can pull off the solo train as displayed in the video. It requires the player being alert and aware at all times, and some sweet timing.

Almost any class can solo trash mobs in Crag. Templars can solo trash mobs SO easy. All they have to do is spam "Punctring Sweep" and "Empowering Sweep" until the group of trash is dead.

Anyone with a ice-staff just needs to get good on kite. Nightblade just needs to CC the other mobs and focus them down 1 at a time.

And there are good stam DPS skills. Dual Wield pulls some insane DPS even has some great damage reduction (sparks). Not to mention your melee damage is higher with high stam. Just be sure you're also an alchemist, NBs get so much from alchemy.

Vamp 2handed tanks can spam cleave (with dmg shield)/leech until everything is dead.

So so so many options to solo trash in Craig. To be honest, I can't solo trash on my DK tank very well. The only reason this guy was able to solo Crag was because he's using desto staff, not because he's a DK. Thus, any class can solo Crag with desto staff and most of them better than DK, just Google it, the videos are listed right next to this one.

I don't think the 4 man dungeon is much to be upset about. Before the patch (1.3.3) I solo'd all of the Craglorn public dungeons. I am a night blade and was wearing 5 heavy with 2 light and a shield and sword. I would show videos but since the patch, my armour sets need to be changed around :(

I do think however, that soloing the first part of the trials is freaking amazing! This guy is freaking awesome! I will never change to dress and broomstick, but I admire this guy.

So, what I am hearing here is nerf an entire class based in its synergy with a specific armor/weapon combo? So, what about the non-light armor/non-staff using DKs that can't do anything close to that? Are they suppose to be forced into using that combo, because their whole class got balanced around it? I think ZOS is doing a better job than people want to admit by not doing that, because once they start eventually all classes will be balanced like that. Then might as well just slap generic MMO sticker on ESO and call it a day.

I refuse to play my DK like that(light/destro). I've also not been invited to trials yet. So theres that too. Meantime i am loving PvP.
There is only one god and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: “Not today...”

"We read fantasy to find the colors again, I think. To taste strong spices and hear the songs the sirens sang. There is something old and true in fantasy that speaks to something deep within us, to the child who dreamt that one day he would hunt the forests of the night, and feast beneath the hollow hills, and find a love to last forever somewhere south of Oz and north of Shangri-La."

Why is this thread so special? Any class can do such if spec'ing for it of course, but also by looking into how it would actually work out for one.

And no you don't always need to go *** destro/restro doing such lol....

It all comes down to what YOU want to do and to which roles you want to play, keep in mind doing certain stuff would sacrefice more usefull stuff for actual grouping and vice versa-

I watched the first video, and my immediate question is: How is this guy standing in the middle of 7 Flame Atronachs with over 20k HP for so long without taking hardly any damage at all? He takes some damage at first, but then heals up, and for the rest of the fight he takes so little damage he can regen it back faster.

IF been there even with a group they are not that good at doing damage, also every class can get away with it or something similiar to it.

Are you saying they naturally do very little damage? If so, doesn't it seem odd that 20k HP versions of them designed for groups of 12 do so little damage?

You are missing the point then, in vr dungeons have had groups of mobs do more damage to me than in the trials.... and also any class can do the above thing shown in that video if they spec for it, and yes the DK had to spec for it as well.

It can be done, but as you see it took rather along time getting away with it as well, and keep in mind that the groups of mobs later on in the trials are not so forgiving simple as a fire atronach is.

The DK has Corrosive armor ultimate which caps damage at 3% of your health for 10.8 seconds. Considering that he has a Critical AoE build and plenty of targets as well as some strong resource generation skills he has no problem to keep it up the entire fight. This build probably doesn't work this well now though do to repeated nerfs.

However this can be also done by a Dunmer NB with Sap Essence Siphoning attacks and Veil of Blades. You don't even to bother with Soul Siphon and fancy stuff like that. Go in VOB then 2 3 Saps then Crit potion then Sap Sap Sap. then VoB repeat ...win. The frost Atronachs are a different thing though.
