A few things, static quest givers, static quest objectives, punished for playing in 1st person as mobs are balanced around 3rd person, and loads of little niggles that are too many and too minor to list here.
Think I saw something posted recently about the repetitive nature of dungeons in ESO - sort of a cookie cutter design that is applied to multiple dungeons.
If true, it would explain why so many dungeons seem familiar.
I can't stand the "Rail System". Levels/Leveling tied to the landscape/areas. Whatever it takes to throw this out the window I'd be all for it.
Currently it's literally like someone telling you to "explore the open world" on a freak'n train. Sure, you get to see it as you wiz by to your destination but there's no stopping that train and there's no coming back.
No rewards in PvP. A special skill line that would improve your class like in DAOC would be great, i actually miss this kind of motivation in all games.
My real only gripe is that loads of the lore doesn't make any sense and timelines seem to be turned around. Yeah yeah i know Dragon-break blah blah. but that's a cop out.
My only real issue, so far, is that the hybrid nature of this ES MMO is not quite as smooth and seemless as I'd like. It's easy to play solo and usually other people have been more boon than bane but stuff like getting credit for a boss kill that I didn't touch ( some would see this as a 'freebie' but I'll fight my own battles, thankyouverymuch ), quests triggering before I'm done reading or talking with NPCs and how I never know if a person I'm questing with is getting credit for my kills / pick-ups or not and the very unpredictable nature of said credit. Haven't really had an issue with group members being in a different phase while questing, just in town when we initially group up. But a quick trip via Wayshrine usually fixes that.
Another bugaboo is the game, at times, seems just a wee bit too hard for solo and usually way too easy for a duo.
Brunhilda Icehammer - Nord Dragonknight, 'Smith & Enchantress 'What is 'ranged? I need to hit something!!'
Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.
Trait search for items in inventory, so those of us who craft can find an item and deconstruct repeats for type vs trait. As it is, I spend an hour at a crafting stand, with Note Pad up, typing the various traits for the items... Blacksmithing and clothing are a PITB for this.
Guild Store search is... useless. Running a search for materials I find finished products, like food, weapons, rings, and things that aren't mats. I usually get fed up before I get past the first page, because very little is what I'm actually looking for! Also, allow us to search across all guilds that we are a member of. Right now, I'd rather sell mats to the vendors because this is a nightmare.
While I would like an auction house (doesn't have to be global, faction based would be fine too), raising the limit on the number of players in a guild and fixing the half-behind search feature would be good, thanks.
A lack of jewelry crafting. If it follows the same course as the rest of the crafts, making it yourself would be much more powerful than finding it or buying it from the vendor.
Rezzing issues, like NPCs rezzing after players in cities. Guess which has a bounding box that causes a player to have to stop and go around? Not the players! Also, rezzing order for the environment, going closest first, rather than, whatever the game feels like rendering! Fixing bounding boxes for various areas, like the door to the manor in Vulkhel Guard. People are getting stuck in it, for goodness' sake!
Pre-downloading patches rather than doing them that day. Some of us are stuck in the boonies with one ISP and it's DSL. We wind up spending a day downloading. I'd rather play, drat it. Allow the patch to download slowly over a week, in the background and then download one, much smaller patch that day.
1. no optional nameplates
2. no proper AH and the poor guild store system
3. combat error in pvp, weapon swap not working, melee not working, fps, lag, spamming buttons and nothing happens
4. vet levelling
5. no multi-tier raid with proper rewards that takes a while to master
6. inventory madness ugh
7. no tell alert, fading chat, poor group tools
8. user name not toon name on show
9. lack of guild tools > cant see who logged out, no guild mail, no titles, no guildhouse, no message of the day on chat etc.
10. loads of my friends left
10.1 bank NPC dialogue nerf nerf nerf!!!
(thought I should add this in > what I like about ESO - its an awesome game but the cracks need filling, and they do need filling)

At least the spelling is difficult for you.
Hew's Bane*
I stopped playing a bit ago. For me was the veteran zones. Not that they are difficult. But i did not like the whole my character playing for the enemy thing. It was like starting a whole new character on a new faction just to get the faction i wanted to max level. After coldharbour which felt like the conclusion. (Though there some unanswered parts to it.) Killed it for me. Usually you make alts to see other's factions' content. Adds replay value. I don't mind veteran zones. They should of been like craglorn. Added 2 or 3 after coldharbour.
- level balance is non existing. Let´s call this thing like STV "battleground" in WoW (high levels usualy went there to smash low levels)
- FPS and LAG madness
- AOE skill madness
they claimed to have that booster thing, but failed to boost it to proper level. What it is good for when you are still 5 times weaker than the top level? And top levels are now like 70% of participants in Cyrodiil.
you want o play PVP with some decent experience? Well go and do a hell lot of PVE content.
If I knew this was supposed to be such sh*t! I would have farmed bosses during first month. Now there is NO fast way to level up!
Besides the obvious (forced-solo instances), the grouping dynamic could use some work. A group member may well have completed talking and have gone on somewhere else, but you wouldn't know as you stand there asking the NPC all the questions.
And then there's the whole phasing piece between group members...
NO options to level. Have run going through all 3 faction zones or grinding in Craglorn. I tell them that PVP is awesome but there is almost no reason to do it and xp is very bad in cyrodil. That is what I don't like. There are no options for leveling and VR seem to be a big after thought for more content which is good if it is optional but its the only effective way to level which kills faction pride and burns people out that like to run dungeons and pvp rather than PVE.
I have no idea. All I know for certain is that for the last week or so....every SINGLE time I log in, I feel the need to logout within about 10 minutes.
I hate to say it, but I think the end may be near for me....
I could probably write whole article about this. Recent things..
- worthless items added (new loot junk from barels/crates etc.)
- further (probably not so intentional) nerf to vampires (no I dont mean PvP bug)
- Werewolves
- Nightblades
- Enchanting
- stamina builds vs magicka builds
- artificial way of making everything taking a lot more time then needed (no clever things, just blunt into your face)
- very few voice actors (just minor annoyance)
- forced solo where it isnt needed (mages guild/fighters guild .. meh, there is very few things in game, where "solo" really should be)
- guild system
- bank system
- items repair
- last but not least, fishing (or any "free time activities" lack of them)
Plus fact that game could been much much better, if someone used brain and learned from mistakes that other MMO did. Or at least played some MMO..

Proud owner of personal vampire and werewolf army (4 werewolves/4 vampires)..
I'm also using large doses of irony and sarcasm.
Plus Im mean person, cause I really dont have reason to like you. Or anyone.
Starting to annoy me that Cyro isnt fixed, but understandable.
Give it a few more weeks, then I will state Cyro Lag is the ONLY thing about ESO in game.
What I really do not like about ESO are these the topics on these forums. They are so full of junk, that for a normal player, who likes the game and come here to take a look. They go away instantly. I don't blame them.
It started to be better lately, with more people posting anything else then garbage.
I try to involve myself in discussions here. Its better then before.
But MILES away from the real community discussions on Reddit.
It would be nice if the quite big player base would feel welcome on these forums.
To prove I am not full of junk myself. Ever since may, every time I state anything positive, I get jumped. Fine. Everyone should voice whatever they want. Against me? Go nuts. I don't care. But most other people do care if they post something and get a mob on them.
Sad really.
Just look at how many LOLs I will get on this post ;-)
