No you are not. You agreed to the tos an EULA. Therefore you agreed your rights away. Don't like it? Cry a little more.
EULA/TOS means squat in the eyes of courts. Especially when consumers are being denied service that they've paid for. I wish the USA took the stance that the EU takes on digital rights.

Yes. As with every single piece of non-open-code software ever made, you have to agree to the EULA to actually use it. If you don't like it, write your congressman.

yes.. but only in MMOs do you sign something that says you still have to pay for game time that you are unable to use.
Does it not bother anyone else that the software companies are the ONLY companies in the world that are allowed to release things half finished and not accept returns?
I work 60+ hours a week. I am a father and a husband. I do not have much down time. When I do get a chance to myself and the ability to unwind I enjoy gaming. This is my down time and I am unable to play the game because of this massive patch. I am not mad about the patch... I am mad about paying for time I am not using. This server downtime is not my fault. Why should I pay for it?
I understand the EULA... I just think it is a low brow business practice.
Have you played other MMOs?
ESO server maintenance downtime is really pretty reasonable.
Wow, did I just praise Zenimax?
I'm a Templar still fuming from Beta and four months subscription revenue without sustained DPS and resource mechanic balance for all classes.

For the less worldly among us, this is WoW's maintenance schedule for the week.BlizzardCSVerified account @BlizzardCS

Yes, 1 hour.

Are we going to get a lock on this thread soon? Or at least bury it?

I wouldn't be surprised if the OP is the type of person that buys something like a wet/dry vac or some other tool, uses it for a few days and returns it because hes done with it (despite it working correctly).
This is what society is catering to now. The entitlement generation is already running our country.

Hey, remember last week, when maintenance was shorter than anticipated? Or the week before when one day was cancelled entirely?
Of course not. Because selective memory is just that: selective.
WoW has had 18+ hours of downtime during maintenance before. Their forums are just as full of people who don't understand how things work. And those posters are just as misinformed as the ones here who are demanding a "refund" for their lost time.

The DeWalt DWV012 10-gallon dust extractor with automatic filter provides a powerful yet portable solution for keeping the job site clean during and after heavy-duty applications. Not only does the 15-amp motor deliver 140 CFM of airflow for maximum suction, a variable suction function allows you to manually control the level of suction and the level of power consumption based on the task at hand.
This newly designed RIDGID 12 Gallon High Performance Wet/Dry Vac is designed for Pros and DIYers who want a traditionally styled, medium sized vac that delivers the powerful performance and rugged durability required for job site clean-up. Its 5.0 peak HP motor delivers the suction power necessary to handle tough clean-up chores. However, it still offers the capacity to handle large messes

Actually, I have a dewalt dust extractor that I use on most of my power tools, and a ridgid wet/dry for general shavings/sawdust cleanup.

The amount of work they are pouring into this game for YOU and you want to be compensated for 1 day? How they keep from deleting various players is beyond me.
