We’re looking at a few special things for guilds. As mentioned in the guild headquarters welcome thread, that’s a temporary section, and we hope to replace it in the coming months.

One of the goals for the forum rework is to make sub-forums more easily accessible (and apparent). Can you please have a dev tracker that lists ALL the comments instead of just a few days worth? I can not get to the forums every day and I know I am missing things because they fall off the page. Also can you get rid of the other languages once I sign in.

Jolly good! Splendid news! I look forward to it. Glad to see things are being worked on much more swiftly than I'd hoped. Give a thimbs up to the web dev folks for me! ^_^

How about fixing the home page for mobile users? Only two forums in my history are general and customer support so those are the only two I get to read.

It *still* shows as blank.

I find having different languages all mixed to together confusing. I would prefer a page that has you choose your language then all you see is that language, or a least group and maybe color codes the different languages.

I would also stop nesting forums topic areas. I think there are a couple different once under general topics.

Just 'un-nest' nested forum topic areas and group the topics better and under the same language. Maybe even combine some areas. For instance, I think this topic would have been better posted under the website topic forum, which is where I first when looking for this thread. Maybe the website topic area isn't needed.

Simple and logical. That's the mindset I use when giving feedback into the few pages on the corporate network I have input into at work. I've really never seen a bunch of different languages all messed together like this before. It's 'easier', but lazy.

@AngryWolf while it would be nice if they had a lnaguage filter on the forums, I disagree about the un-nesting. If they un-nest everything comes back up to the top, making it un-navigatable.

The nesting sub-forums in forums is the only way to make it navigatable, it's easy enough to find where a sub-forum is, and it's very logical, once you've looked around.

It might not be the set-up I would have chosen, but it's workable, which is all it needs to be.

Since I mostly check these forms at work on my phone, could you guys add a clicky at the bottom of the page to go back to the top so I dont have to swipe all the way back to the top please : )

The guild section should be separated by server and then by faction.

I have to assume this is a bug but in my forum CP under "unanswered questions" it persists to indicate there are 3 new topics but every time I click the layout says there are no new topics and the alert widget will not go away.

@Bigtuna the unanswered questions is apparently from the Beta testing days, it's a redundant field which needs removing.

"Unanswered Questions" is still actively used, and anyone posting a Question instead of a Discussion will have it pop up there. These tend to be answered fairly quickly, which is why its often empty.

The three phantom questions are a bug.

If you look above the "post comment" button theres a link for the forum the thread is in.

Id like to see that for desktop too.

Love the game, but I don't understand your thinking on the forums. What was the idea behind this current layout? Do you feel you have achieved it? What work has to go into making dramatic changes to it? cause they are needed.

The original layout was worse, much worse.

This layout isn't perfect, but it is a vast improvement over the original. Zos has said they plan on adding a language filter, and simplifying the rest. They just haven't done it yet.

I would appreciate, if you could upload pictures directly to the forum and not only over tumblr, pinterest or any file hosters, most of the file hosters delete the images after a time period and we will have many dead links.
ZOS can limit the data size to 100k and can only allow the usual formats like
.pic, .jpg and .bmp.

Also word or wordpad files would be nice too, I've had instances were I thought people could use my tables or wordpad list of emoticons, and can't attach them.

Its been a long time now since these extremely minor changes took place, when is this forum going to be taken seriously?

Organization is a must. People will find this thread and find that its not stated what the 'forum update' was. We need an ideas/suggestions thread - instead nobody knows where these things belong. Have to scroll down and pick out the english threads is BY FAR ***.

Thats barely scratching the surface, get a real forum and post on it correctly and effectively. This site is a MESS.

I might sound rude but I do want to see this become better. This thread is like handing a salt grain to the starving man, hardly plausible to be called an 'update'.

Last mod post was about Mobile phone forums, although it's hard to tell.

Basically no ETA yet, but they are working on it.

The 'home' key is your friend.

The Participated menu item is back, and can be found on the right sidebar. It allows you to see all of the threads you have made or posted in.

Mark All As Read should be returning to the top menu bar shortly.

We continue to work on problems with the mobile version, and on the forum overhaul. We'll post in this thread when we have news to share!

Mark All Viewed has returned, and is now on the sidebar to keep the top menu bar from getting cluttered. Clicking this will set all forum threads to display as "viewed" instead of having the darker "not viewed" color scheme.
