Will you be waiting 6 months or transferring to console?

I used to have this mentality when younger. Here is my aged 30 year old perspective.

1. Of the hundreds of thousands who will play console, only about 60 or so ever even had a shot at being the first emperor. This is a small minority of affected players.

2. Racing to max level is a waste of money. You skip content so you can play content at max level. It baffles my mind.

3. The economy won't be doom and gloom some see. Even if a player transfered with 1000 daedric motifs... that is such a small amount in comparison to the population of a MMO. Even if he sold them all, what is he the v12 going to buy from other players he doesn't already have for the next few months?

1.) How could this have been your mentality when younger? The possibility of being emperor, or the king in any MMO in this way, is new. But I digress. I would ask gamers "who the hell cares who gets to be first emperor? Stop trying to hide your shame of being bad at real life with video game stuff". In other words, even if I couldn't transfer to the console version, I'd still not care about being emperor first.

2.) I don't see the relevance in this argument? What does this have to do with either option you gave in your title?

3.) I wouldn't say "doom and gloom", but to say those who tranfer wont be at an advantage is simply incorrect. They can either sell for cheap and cause the entire economy to compete, as we've seen on PC where motif prices have dropped severely since launch, or they'll sell high to those who really want motifs immediately. However, I don't see why it matters if other players are "rich". What are they going to use their riches on when the game first drops on consoles? No one will have amazing stuff to sell at first lol. So enjoy being rich and having nothing to buy.

Zeni should only allow those who buy the game starting from the announcement of the console delay to transfer. I don't see why I get to transfer when I bought the game and started playing in early access. Obviously, when I started, I had no chance of transferring my characters to the console version, right? If i were going to buy the console version when it came out, i would have lost them. Only thing all PC users should get is the discount on a 2nd purchase to play console.

Nobody is saying the economy is doomed or anything of the sort. I was just saying console players are going to complain about the advantage.

Nah, they could have 8 or something easily with a controller. The game is just very....simplified for it's intended audience.

I dont understand why anyone would choose to play on a console instead of a PC, no mouse, do you have a keyboard?

have you not played ffxiv, or DCUO? those skill bars are huge and they are on console. consoles do not limit the skill bar in any way. obviously 5 skills was what Zenimax meant it to be. with no auto attack, how would you be able to click 10 buttons AND continuously click the regular attack button. if there was an auto attack then we would have a larger skill bar....but that was not in Zenimax's vision.

I can already seamlessly play the game with a controller on the PC, so even if I felt some compelling pull to buy a console for ESO, that would invalidate it.

One of the major reasons I'm planning to play ESO long term is that it's one of the few MMOs that work well with a controller. Much easier on my hands than keyboard/mouse.
