WoW and LOTRO have had it for years as well. It's a pretty standard feature these days.
has it been years since i played wow? i quite right when that patch came to Cataclysm, then there was pandera. and now they ran out of stories so they are going back in time again.
anyway, i don't think it's standard since it's cosmetic, standard would be things that affect gameplay directly. This would be a fluff feature, that would defiantly be worked on later, but not designed for the beginning0 -

I agree and wish the armor in Vet ranks wasn't so lackluster in appearance.

Unfortunately, they are. This fix will be implemented in patch 1.1.2
If you are basing that off of the fact that this fix is on PTS 1.1.2, then that's not entirely accurate. PTS patches are not necessarily in the same order that you might see it become live on the regular game servers. The next patch that goes live might be 1.0.9 but have elements listed in PTS 1.1, 1.1.1, and 1.1.2 (or none at all).I'm not as am as you drunk I think.1 -

Warhammer Online had the same system. You could alter the look of your armor with a simple drag and drop system. The best thing was that your armor kept the alternate look, even if you removed it from your inventory. I miss that system.

bloodenragedb14_ESO✭✭✭✭✭there are many games that have that system, f2p games use it as a way to make more money, p2p games usually have it at a exuberant ingame currency price. i can only hope that if ZOS decides to do this system, they make it easily accessible and not to costly

Lodestar✭✭✭✭Sorry, I disagree that this is a priority at all. There are far more important things to fix right now such as endless loading screens, stuck characters and basic functionality breaks. Please don't waste any time of this for the next few months.
... well, I do agree with you. But, it is sad to know this would have been priority if not for the issues you mentioned. All of which may simply be the result of this game releasing before it was ready. Actually I think this is a sign of that too.

On a more serious note. This is exactly what is causing so many failings with this game and company. From the snap decisions toward end of beta, and the sense it was not completed, to the variation in quality from CS. People are just running around 200mph, all stressed, trying to get rid of the workload, and making it worse.
So, people react instead of acting. Half the time the bosses don't even want a through solution, just tell you to wrap something up fast and have done. Even if it would be better in the long run.Edited by Lodestar on May 22, 2014 11:42AM0 -

✭@ZOS_GinaBruno - you should have the devs take another look at things because while my vr3 armor was massively improved, some armor is unchanged. The specular map was fixed but it appears the progression is still messed up on some armor. And some schemes make no sense, like vr4 bosmer medium armor, it's brown and blue. Also , lower level armor needs to be looked at.
I think a lot of the grief you're still receiving over this can be lowered a bit if you could find out when we'll actually be able to dye our armor and how detailed the system will be.
