Provisioning Materials in VR areas.

There are some areas that did get leveled .

I'm plating my EP VR1 in Daggerfall, had 3 bits of dungeons today spawn food items at the right level (normally I just look around for salt, onions etc. and leave everything else because it is tier 1 goat feet or whatever) .

Had 2 boss rooms (out of like 25) and one piece of zoned hallway with traps have right stuff (zoned from dungeon proper at door, then zoned to boss room at other side... boss room has tier 1 food lol, but the trapped hall... mmmmm good).

salt, pepper, onions etc are going to be found in all zone levels because every blue or purple recipie no matter what level it is will use one or more of those. the are counted as lvl 1 goods.

Yeah, sorry wasn't clear. I usually open everything so I can get salt, pepper, onions etc.

While doing so, I discovered level appropriate stuff in those few areas.

I have myself on rare occasions have found honey combs in the vet zones. but they are more rare than they need to be, mainly because the wrong level mats are taking thier place as junk loot. However i have found no berveza grapes, and the jazbay grapes ive found are bugged versions and refuse to be used in the vr5 recipies, and ive bugged them twice. I ran out of the working jazbay grapes i got in coldharbor a long time ago.

The CS that was copy pasted in this thread looks damn good to me. You guys just won't be happy with anything they say unless it's "this will be fixed in a hotfix overnight".
Please LOL my comments. I'm an aspiring comedian.

    Added voice of disappointment.

Plue blue/purple recipes got super rare. Haven't seen a drop of one of them in a very long time.

They have tons of things to fix but jeez, this affects half the game area (all of the vet zones) and probably shouldn't be too hard to fix (setting loot tables to correct values). And game's been out a month - people are well and truly in the vet zones and soon most of the population will be playing there too.

Now im suddenly finding Working Jazbay grapes, in VR10 Reapers March. I didn't find a single one since Normal The Reach, not even in Bangkorai. Honey Combs appear more than they did in Bangkorai too. Probably would still find both of them including Bereaza grapes in all the time Coldharbor tho. Still get a lot of sacks and such full of prov mats I shouldn't have to see unless I go back to my home alliance area to get them.

I agree this is a bug. But, it wasn't the type of bug that was unknown or missed in testing. It's too obvious.

I suspect the method they used to insert provisioning items/crates prevented them dynamically changing the loot tables for the VR1+ zones. Something about the design must be broken/lacking, that prevented them from doing it before release. After all... They were able to get all the other crafting materials appropriately leveled.

Just another one of those things that should have been fixed before release. Or at least by the time a significant portion of the player-base reached these areas.

I would like to know when this is going to be addressed. There is no reason for provisioners in the VR areas to only have access to level 5-10 ingredients from these zones while all other crafters have a steady supply of high level materials.

I can't even make the VR level food without having to go back to coldharbor to gather mats. Pretty massive oversight in my opinion. You can loot VR level recipes in the VR zones, but not the materials.......When is it getting fixed?

I just love going into VR BC opening a barrel and finding....thin broth.....yay.....

I just hit VR1, and finally made my way to Stonefalls - and as a crafting primary character, I was extremely disappointed that the containers I was looting weren't level appropriate. I am very glad that the plants, ore and mob drops are leveled appropriately, but the fact that I have to go back to Cold Harbour to get provisioning ingredients means that I am spending a significant amount of time farming mats with little to no opportunity to pick up XP along the way.

So, please, ZOS, if you are there, this would be a small fix that you can make that would make my enjoyment of the VR levels increase.

Some form of acknowledgment from zos about this issue would be nice. Even a word or two from the lovely jessica would be greatly appreciated.

Well, IMO they slapped in vet zones and vet leveling when they realized the bean counters where going to force the game out the door to go live. There was no game past 50 created so they came up with VR. They just amped up mob HP/damage/etc and called it good. They had no good method to quickly put in proper provisioning mats. At least that is what it looks to me what happened.

And apparently it is still is not a priority. It is true this game has much bigger problems created by their hasty VR system implementation.

I think it was Coldharbour where I found most my honeycomb mats.

    Provisioning materials still bugged.
I've started exploring VR areas for the first time recently, and the VR1 and vR2 zones (Auridon and Grahtwood) in my case still have an incomplete mix of high and low level provisioning materials. (Note: post 1.3.4).
That is, I'm finding the basic L1 food mats (corn mash, wine grapes, thin broth), but also Shank, beef, honeycomb, Crystal Berry etc (L40+ to VR5). What I'm NOT finding are the other half of the components for L40+ provisioning recipes, i.e. things like cake flour, glace viande, fatback, white malt, rice mash, ribier grapes (these are the L50 food/drink base materials, but same applies for L40+ and VR5 mats which should theoretically be possible to find there).

So, is it a game design requirement to go to Cyrodiil/coldharbor to find these or something?

This game has had bugs in pretty much all loot drop tables since release. I bet this is just another stupid bug. Now that provisioning is changing, I don't think they will even try to fix this until they release the new system and introduce a whole new set of bugs with it.

I have not found red wheat for weeks I think.
Hopefully a new wysiwyg system will make provisioning less boring. On the other hand a justice system may provide a chance of buying more naturals from npc instead of stealing them.

Still issue as of this posting. My particular concern at this time are the secondary ingredients:
    Fatback
    Baker's Flour
    Glace Viande

I went to Coldharbor and after two days I have Fatback x5, Baker's Flour x3, Glace Viande x6. That and a big repair bill because I've been wandering around, checking already finished public dungeons to see if there is one with a lot of containers. I have a lot more to check out but I'm growing concerned about the repair bill. At least loot is still dropping for me at v3 to offset the repair costs.

So far only Hollow City is worth attempting. Anyone have any other suggestions?
Manor of Revelry - not worth it

Don't expect any fixes to this. Zos is doing a complete redo of the provisioning line in an upcoming update.
