If you were allowed to change one thing...

Just as the title says guys, if you were allowed to change one thing in the game, what would it be?
This excludes bug fixing and more about game design and features.

Let me start by saying that I would alter the weapon and armor design to make it more varied and attractive and closer to the art design of the TESO cinematic trailer!

Now your turn...
Altheina - Wood Elf Nightblade
TESO Fun-fact 1: It takes to kill 119,050 mudcrabs to reach level 50
TESO Fun-fact 2: There are 61 million items in the game
TESO Fun-fact 3: There are 40,656,000 different weapon variations in the game

I would change... the requirements to speak in zone chat. We should establish an IQ test to rule out bots and just silly players. IE when you reach level 3 thew game prompts you (Via in game mail) to answer a random set of addition questions (IE 1+1, 4+4) and then your chat privileges will be instated. Obviously if you fail this test you probably shouldn't be chatting anyway but don't worry, we wont take away your whisper or guild chat privileges just your public privileges (IE Zone, Yell, Emote and say).

    Is that to harsh? XD

I would like to change the way mounts are handled...

I would like to choose the color of my horse, and then the base stat structure that the horses have now.

I hate the fact that if I want the fastest horse, I have to have the light brown horse.

My favorite horse is the Draft horse, I love that skin, but for my purposes (PvP), it will not be optimal to use that mount.

Add in a pop quiz about basic information to the game... and a book about how to kill the harvester mobs, with another quiz to make sure you read it >> "When/How do you block/interrupt?" "How do you prevent a harvester type mob from healing?"

Yes, I'm aware people would quit my MMO cause no one (or what seems like no one) likes to read and quizzes aren't fun.

On a more serious note, I'd like to add dyes. Nothing that sticks out of the TES color palette or anything.. but more options to color armors and such.

One thing? I would have never watched TESO streams which, with its nice graphics, tricked me into buying it. Basically I would have never bought it in the first place. That's the one thing I would change.

I would have ZOS hire a handful of people, and their sole job would be to watch chat and hit gold spammers with a Ban Hammer. And every time they banned an account for gold spam, an emote would go in chat saying "So-and-so has been obliterated with a Ban Hammer!!!"

Then, not only would the spammers get banned, but everyone on the server would know that chat was being monitored. I think it would clean up zone chat pretty quickly.

Honestly OP , i have so many things i would change , that picking one is hard , but to follow your lead.

I would change the sorc storm tree.

I would make it more like the altmer in the trailer with green beams of awesomeness, instead of just more of the same lighting usual stuff.

And no , i dont mean some OP thing , just like you cant just hit something with an axe once and shoot one arrow that insta kills stuff usually , i would like just something that followed the trailer theme , instead of a normal lighting tree.

Phasing. I'd do away with it and implement a traditional instanced dungeon/world.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

Really? You bought the <<MMO>> Elder Scrolls Online BECAUSE you liked the graphics on a stream? OK. its ok.

    Topic:

I would have made the Zones more unique and rememberable instead of these generic Copy - Paste work Zenimax had done, its feels like Quanitity over Quality. For me, the same problem gw2 had which i played for 2,5 month and then never returned.

Every Zone is beside of the quests and the overall look totally identifcal. You have your waypoints, similiar build dungeons, your questspots ( which are the only thing that i remember from the zones ), your 2 or 3 city which are the same every time ( heres your crafthub, your bank, your enchanter, horse, tavern, bye ), plenty of ores and mats more then anyone ever need, your skyshards, your special places and so on. LIke gw2, bla your skillpoint, bla your overlook, bla here are 10 heartevents, here some towns you will never visit again beause they have the same *** as every of the 120 other towns ingame.

Dont get me wrong, the first exploration of the zones are awesome, minor random events, new mob types, the chests :# oh boy the chest :# i love finding chests. But after you finished the Zone that everything is filled out in white.... it feels empty and i dont even remeber anything that was special in that zone... sometimes i even forget the name of the citys.. Feels a bit heart and soulless if i may quote some idiotic jo...uh guy.

i just have no reason to visit anything ingame again, one city is a good as another. Dont know if you guys know what i mean. Bad expamples. I still know the layout from westfall in wow, gadgetzan was the city in tanaris, marshalls camp is in ungoro, the quest for the lv 70 dungeon in hellfirepeninsula at release started in shadowmoonvalley where you find the key to unlock the door. Princess theradras is the ugliest princess in the whole game, first encountered here about 6 years ago lol. AND thats just some experiences i made in other games, i played lotro , aoc, some WAR, and a lot of other games were i could tell you this stuff :>

but eso feels very generic for me :ß

All public dungeons would be like Bonesnap Ruin! I was overwhelmed with joy at the amount of fighting, death and all that comes with it! My team and I just spent the majority of our game time completing its two quests and I wish all public dungeons could be that fun! Best part, no waiting for a boss at the end that will just be killed by all the other players camping.
Blessed are those who explore the unbeaten path...

I can only pick one thing? I'm torn between these two.

    1. A server-side option to display EITHER my @account name OR my active character's name in guild chat, group chat, and whispers.

    2. The ability to group with people and not get phased away from each other; this implies the ability to share quests even if you're on a different step.

    3. The ability to mentor - oh, dang, that's three.

I dunno if it would be a change really...

I'd just like them to add in additional High level content to the existing areas. Once you complete an area and lvl up you move on to a new area, you have no reason what so ever to return later on down the road.

I'd like to see new instances added to these completed regions. I liked Daggerfall and Deshaan...yet I have no reason to go visit them again.

Maybe they could add in a "roaming event" type system. Every couple of hours a new event or series of events randomly spawns somewhere in Tameriel. These events could be dungeons or as group of high level NPCs with sinister plans, a big boss...

This of course would be aimed and endgame lvl players. I mean it could be cool to have them for lower levels as well but a lvl14 player in Ebonheart has no way of getting to Daggerfall...(as far as I know?).

So yeah I think it could be pretty cool and it would allow the players later in game to re-visit all these awesome regions the game has provided.

Bard skill line. This could be from a college, school, etc. and these abilities would be there for support, healing, damage. Buffs to party (or debuffs to mobs) would remain as long as the bard skill was being used and in play.

The people! I keep hearing people say it will go F2P, then other people say I won't play if it goes free to play. The reasoning being the type of people F2P games attract.

I have to say that so far the ESO community is by far the worst I have ever come across. I'm really hoping this changes.
