I can only pick one thing? I'm torn between these two.
1. A server-side option to display EITHER my @account name OR my active character's name in guild chat, group chat, and whispers.
2. The ability to group with people and not get phased away from each other; this implies the ability to share quests even if you're on a different step.
3. The ability to mentor - oh, dang, that's three.

Really? You bought the <<MMO>> Elder Scrolls Online BECAUSE you liked the graphics on a stream? OK. its ok.
Topic:
I would have made the Zones more unique and rememberable instead of these generic Copy - Paste work Zenimax had done, its feels like Quanitity over Quality. For me, the same problem gw2 had which i played for 2,5 month and then never returned.
Every Zone is beside of the quests and the overall look totally identifcal. You have your waypoints, similiar build dungeons, your questspots ( which are the only thing that i remember from the zones ), your 2 or 3 city which are the same every time ( heres your crafthub, your bank, your enchanter, horse, tavern, bye ), plenty of ores and mats more then anyone ever need, your skyshards, your special places and so on. LIke gw2, bla your skillpoint, bla your overlook, bla here are 10 heartevents, here some towns you will never visit again beause they have the same *** as every of the 120 other towns ingame.
Dont get me wrong, the first exploration of the zones are awesome, minor random events, new mob types, the chests oh boy the chest i love finding chests. But after you finished the Zone that everything is filled out in white.... it feels empty and i dont even remeber anything that was special in that zone... sometimes i even forget the name of the citys.. Feels a bit heart and soulless if i may quote some idiotic jo...uh guy.
i just have no reason to visit anything ingame again, one city is a good as another. Dont know if you guys know what i mean. Bad expamples. I still know the layout from westfall in wow, gadgetzan was the city in tanaris, marshalls camp is in ungoro, the quest for the lv 70 dungeon in hellfirepeninsula at release started in shadowmoonvalley where you find the key to unlock the door. Princess theradras is the ugliest princess in the whole game, first encountered here about 6 years ago lol. AND thats just some experiences i made in other games, i played lotro , aoc, some WAR, and a lot of other games were i could tell you this stuff :>
but eso feels very generic for me :ß
This would probably one of the hardest things Zenimax or other gaming companies face as there are numerous possibilities that could contribute to lag issues...MistryssNite wrote: »The horrible lag, but I'm assuming that's a result of my computer not being top notch.
I would just change the maintenance times. Morning is the perfect time for me to play while my 1 year old daughter is napping, but as it happens, the server is ALWAYS down for maintenance.
It was down yesterday, it is down today, and it will be down tomorrow.
Also, I think they abuse the word maintenace, as they are bringing servers down for emergecy fixes, and they call it maintenace. When a server crash and you try to get it back online, its not maintenace.

I have to say that so far the ESO community is by far the worst I have ever come across. I'm really hoping this changes.
I would change the game to Free to play, paying for this is starting to annoy me badly.kylemelhuishb16_ESO wrote: »The people! I keep hearing people say it will go F2P, then other people say I won't play if it goes free to play. The reasoning being the type of people F2P games attract.

Honestly i play two mmo's
Landmark = F2P Great community and very friendly
ESO = P2P horrible and Nasty community all round
And i've seen this in many different games i've played, where people get this free to play is a poor community biased ideas from i have no idea but i've always seen the opposite in fact..
Remove PVP, it'll cause endless PVE nerfs to pander to all the PVP QQing we're already beginning to see around here.Just as the title says guys, if you were allowed to change one thing in the game, what would it be?
This excludes bug fixing and more about game design and features.
I would change... the requirements to speak in zone chat. We should establish an IQ test to rule out bots and just silly players. IE when you reach level 3 thew game prompts you (Via in game mail) to answer a random set of addition questions (IE 1+1, 4+4) and then your chat privileges will be instated. Obviously if you fail this test you probably shouldn't be chatting anyway but don't worry, we wont take away your whisper or guild chat privileges just your public privileges (IE Zone, Yell, Emote and say).
Is that to harsh? XD
Oh yes, wardrobe system is good to haveAn item preview system and a wardrobe system so we can keep the gear look that we like.

Trion tried separating PVE and PVP in Rift with the PVP Soul, which turned out to be an abject failure sadly and the PVE game there suffered. In WOW Blizzard has tried and failed for 10 years to 'balance' PVP, while making regular massive negative changes to PVE in the process, they're now reduced to having PVP and PVE specific variants of many skills, an utter mess and they still don't have 'balance' in PVP that appeases the QQers.
I play and see no game where PVP doesn't have a negative impact on the PVE side of the game.
