    One thing only?
Make it an option to not use your account handle in your guild chat.

If i could change more things, i would
    1. Make it possible to use lower level looks at higher level items when crafting
    2. Make enchanting faster to level
    3. Completely retool provisioning

I can only pick one thing? I'm torn between these two.

    1. A server-side option to display EITHER my @account name OR my active character's name in guild chat, group chat, and whispers.

    2. The ability to group with people and not get phased away from each other; this implies the ability to share quests even if you're on a different step.

    3. The ability to mentor - oh, dang, that's three.

    LOL, I see what you did there... I am also torn between these two;

    1. All quest and public dungeon instances should have an option of going in solo, maybe a setting in your [settings] to turn on or off so you can just forget about it.

    2. A new warrior class with class skills based upon stamina and animations that don't look magical and are relevant to the weapon I am wielding.

    3. Build you own house, can collect mats etc... bit like in Hearth Fire DLC

    Opps that's also three....

    PS I that order....

The number one thing that this game needs is a Mentoring system. I'm the GM of a rather large guild, and the grouping experience is just needlessly frustrating. The only meaningful thing you can do with people of disparate level without someone simply missing out on any benefit... is Cyrodil. That is such a small portion of the game. The entire game would benefit from being able to drop your level to that of your friends and run content together legitimately.

I would change the way the grouping tool works so it doesn't put people together until the group is complete.
The way it is now, a tank or a healer who lands in a group without the other immediately leaves.

    Topic:

I would have made the Zones more unique and rememberable instead of these generic Copy - Paste work Zenimax had done, its feels like Quanitity over Quality. For me, the same problem gw2 had which i played for 2,5 month and then never returned.

Every Zone is beside of the quests and the overall look totally identifcal. You have your waypoints, similiar build dungeons, your questspots ( which are the only thing that i remember from the zones ), your 2 or 3 city which are the same every time ( heres your crafthub, your bank, your enchanter, horse, tavern, bye ), plenty of ores and mats more then anyone ever need, your skyshards, your special places and so on. LIke gw2, bla your skillpoint, bla your overlook, bla here are 10 heartevents, here some towns you will never visit again beause they have the same *** as every of the 120 other towns ingame.

Dont get me wrong, the first exploration of the zones are awesome, minor random events, new mob types, the chests :# oh boy the chest :# i love finding chests. But after you finished the Zone that everything is filled out in white.... it feels empty and i dont even remeber anything that was special in that zone... sometimes i even forget the name of the citys.. Feels a bit heart and soulless if i may quote some idiotic jo...uh guy.

i just have no reason to visit anything ingame again, one city is a good as another. Dont know if you guys know what i mean. Bad expamples. I still know the layout from westfall in wow, gadgetzan was the city in tanaris, marshalls camp is in ungoro, the quest for the lv 70 dungeon in hellfirepeninsula at release started in shadowmoonvalley where you find the key to unlock the door. Princess theradras is the ugliest princess in the whole game, first encountered here about 6 years ago lol. AND thats just some experiences i made in other games, i played lotro , aoc, some WAR, and a lot of other games were i could tell you this stuff :>

but eso feels very generic for me :ß

yeah ...look mostly plus the idea "can still play it as a single player cuz as an MMO it'll suck..." problem is however, it's too bad for a single player. Should have played skyrim instead I know :(

    Cloaks.

    Because duh.

Also, weapons shouldn't vanish when we mount up on a horse.

Anyone who has a problem with the above, who retorts with 'Cloaks? Fix the game first!' is an idiot. MMORPGs are never, ever, ever, ever 'fixed.' Ever. Ever. They are never fixed. These games are like a shirt you wear to work: you wear it, you wash it, you iron it. You wear it, you wash it, you iron it. Deal with the crumpling. It's going to happen.

Cloaks? Yeah. And if no one else wants cloaks, give me a cloak. Just me. And I'll laugh at all the dorks who send me whispers asking where I got it.

Split the megaserver up into 4 distinct servers with their own specific rules according to popular and traditional MMO play styles.

PvP: PvP flags automatically go on after you leave the tutorial area as well as major faction cities. Fosters a strong server community.

PvP-RP: PvP flags automatically go on after you leave the tutorial area as well as major faction cities. Strict naming rules for the obvious reason. Fosters a strong server community.

PvE: Emphasis more on PvE endgame progression.

    RP: Strict naming rules.

I would just change the maintenance times. Morning is the perfect time for me to play while my 1 year old daughter is napping, but as it happens, the server is ALWAYS down for maintenance.

It was down yesterday, it is down today, and it will be down tomorrow.

Also, I think they abuse the word maintenace, as they are bringing servers down for emergecy fixes, and they call it maintenace. When a server crash and you try to get it back online, its not maintenace.

I think we just need to give Zenimax time to stabilize and get the game major bugs fixed and I believe we will see fewer downtime (once a week?)

I would change the game to Free to play, paying for this is starting to annoy me badly.
The people! I keep hearing people say it will go F2P, then other people say I won't play if it goes free to play. The reasoning being the type of people F2P games attract.

I have to say that so far the ESO community is by far the worst I have ever come across. I'm really hoping this changes.

    Honestly i play two mmo's

Landmark = F2P Great community and very friendly
ESO = P2P horrible and Nasty community all round

And i've seen this in many different games i've played, where people get this free to play is a poor community biased ideas from i have no idea but i've always seen the opposite in fact..

Community is trash in majority of games. There is only a few % of true gamers of multyplayer games. Modern gamer consider player characters as NPC with better AI. That is reallity. MMOs used to force people to open to others and work together. Now you can do anything by yourself. Therefore what is the need to talk to others?

But I am realistic, therefore old school games can not survive in today's world.

add quests (as additional optional content that nobody has to complete but giving achemenets) that are more random (example: NPC walking all around zone, existing close examples are obtaining vampire/werevolf from NPC), without quest markers.
Add more random and longer patchs to mobs, now they are not longer then few meters and mostly for 1lvl mobs, but imagine that real level mobs do move in their areas instead of (themepark!) sitting in one place like icons.

Remove PVP, it'll cause endless PVE nerfs to pander to all the PVP QQing we're already beginning to see around here.

Trion tried separating PVE and PVP in Rift with the PVP Soul, which turned out to be an abject failure sadly and the PVE game there suffered. In WOW Blizzard has tried and failed for 10 years to 'balance' PVP, while making regular massive negative changes to PVE in the process, they're now reduced to having PVP and PVE specific variants of many skills, an utter mess and they still don't have 'balance' in PVP that appeases the QQers.

I play and see no game where PVP doesn't have a negative impact on the PVE side of the game.

I would change... the requirements to speak in zone chat. We should establish an IQ test to rule out bots and just silly players. IE when you reach level 3 thew game prompts you (Via in game mail) to answer a random set of addition questions (IE 1+1, 4+4) and then your chat privileges will be instated. Obviously if you fail this test you probably shouldn't be chatting anyway but don't worry, we wont take away your whisper or guild chat privileges just your public privileges (IE Zone, Yell, Emote and say).

    Is that to harsh? XD

    It's not strict enough.

Someone in Cyrodiil will always ask where the action is at while there are several battle markers on the map, orders being given and requests for grouping. Then there are the people constantly requesting invites to groups, usually just after someone has posted a general invite with "type x" to respond.

Also, why do people who are not in a group feel the need to join one in order to defend a fort / join a battle? I just look at a map and go where the action is. I don't see the need to beg in order to play the game.

Make guild stores accessible by everyone, regardless of whether or not you're actually in a guild...and for Pete's sake...put them in the open world, not in a PvP zone.

Free camera mode for excellent screenshots.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.
