How to win back customer loyalty and confidence.

I have seen several threads here essentially demanding reimbursement for this free first month of playtime, due to there having (admittedly) been a few hangups with bugs and fine tuning, gold farmers, bots, griefing, etc.

I tend to agree with most who say this is to be expected when a new title goes live (particularly in this environment with so much pressure on the content creators to generate something new for the easily jaded masses to consume), and personally have faith these issues will have mostly been dealt with by the time the first actual monthly payment hits their customer base.

I imagine most of the trial period bots will magically disappear around that time as well...

However, it is clear there may have been some loss of confidence or loyalty to this which I believe is important enough to offer some suggestions I feel would represent a professional and realistic olive branch by Bethesda/Zenimax/ZOS.

Taking a page from Square/Enix in how they made peace with their own customers after a series of technical malfunctions and frustrations, I propose the following:

Every individual that purchased the game prior to May 5 shall receive:

One elixir of transformation - Allows one single re-customization of a chosen character, including race, faction, sex, and appearance.

One flask of remembrance - Allows one full reset of a chosen character's skill points, free of charge.

I don't think this is unreasonable and it would go a long way to restoring overall satisfaction with what is otherwise an excellent product.

I don't think that would fix anything.
I think that would end up with those potions being re-sold and exploited, thus creating even nore bugs and problems.
Just have some patience.

Would love the elixir of transformation, even if it was in the pay store. Which it will most likely end up having something like it in the future.

I am afraid that the people who THINK they they ought to get something (for whatever reason) will not be happy.

We got already 30 days...that ought to be enough.

Apart from that... please read the latest patch notes. The people behind the curtain have been very busy fixing many of the issues.

Yes...there is still much to be done... however to ask for a reward for being patient? To me that is spread rather thick.

Right now...if Z-Max continue to fix things at the present rate I will be happy.

To any Moderator reading this... Thank you for now having one or two GM's in the game getting rid of these Vermin Bots. Yes I know...I was one of those being very vocal (to the point of being obnoxious) about this...however...I like the Game a lot and having Vermin spoiling my equilibrium like this got me all hot under the collar. So thanks... I will now stop being cranky and play the Game instead

You should be betting an how many days before they announce FtP...worst MMO launch I have seen in 15 years, but yet well past launch. Companies that take your money but don't offer any customer support don't last long anymore...called the internet and The Customers Are Always Right Clause...I say two months at most, that is why they are squeezing as much cash now with zero fixes

Does your customer support even Know How to Respond to Claims Bro?

People need to halt on these doomsday scenarios. If you have beef with the game, express YOUR beef. Stop bringing the games population into this, it gives a VERY VERY unrealistic view of what is actually happening on the server.

For every 1 person who is upset and YOU know who is unsubbing I already know at least 6 people who are staying. Game is full, has people, shiny happy ones, some ones who are mum on it and some upset ones. Probably some Happy Joes and Francis' too!

I am still yet to join a debate on how bad or a disappointing game this is and have anyone let me know a successful highly popular one that didn't have issues during launch where the forums blew up and talked about mass exodus. If you look at my prior posts I shared links from forums of other popular games, guess what I found? Same stuff, different game.

My first impression was a really good one and what pleases me and you obviously differ, but I will never come here and randomly post a doom and gloom or for that matter an overly flamboyant post about how great it is. Tell it as it is. IF you log in and see no one, then your post has merit. But stop giving false impressions. I am sure others have the same view. Same as there are some that share yours. But the people who like it don't need to post 100000000000000000 times on how much fun they are having. We don't feel the need to look for attention, especially unwarranted attention.

wow, just wow. Not a month in and you guys that go on and on about F2P. I know you just want that so you can hurry up and buy your way up. I for one cant wait till the 30 day crowd bugs out. Zero fixes? Man you don't even have to be a fanboi to see the fixes that have been coming, sorry they didn't wave a magic wand and make it happen overnight.

just so you know I was having fun until recently
the game isn't that bad - fast leveling has to be addressed
- like it should take 1 year even playing all day to achieve level 50 - and another 2 more for remaining levels

for me - the world is too small - like make it a full planet
no way you should be able to run around the world in a few weeks over every square inch and find everything

the main problem is the bots - this killed the fun
if this isn't addressed soon I think everyone will leave
Simple solution no trading - you can sell to regular traders/sellers Zenimax put in or to guild stores only

and no in mail gifts from friends - only allowable exception is ring of mara Counterpart (this is the only person you should be able to trade with)

things I like to see - Theives guild and Dark brotherhood - in game

I think the way to retain or regain customer loyalty is just to be solid going forward. The update notes on the PTS really looks good. I'm hopeful it will be as good as it looks.

Well if you guys didn't screw over the PvP'rs would be a much better game...you know while all the Barren Chat Trolls, and BOTS flourish

They say some pretty crude stuff that is absolutely against ToS...and just hurts all the younger players that try to enjoy the game. If these people said half that stuff in REAL life I would be handing out RINGS around The Eye all day...and nobody would even complain, they would just ask for another.

To be honest, those two vials aren't going to be compelling enough to make anyone stay or feel better about whatever their pet issue is. Usually they want something tangible, like a pet or exclusive mount color, so they can parade their grievances around for months afterward like some sort of battle trophy.

The ones that are going to quit are going to quit, no matter what you give them, even if it's free time. They'll simply stick around for however long their end date is extended and keep QQing until the bill comes due, at which point they'll unsub.

These problem were brought to their attention almost a year ago But no fix in sight or even One response...yeah worst launch ever imo...I take that as I WILL NEVER FIX THE GAME AND THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME STEAL YOUR MONEY...in my book, they had Zero problems charging my CREDIT CARD...just CUSTOMER SUPPORT will never respond to PAYING customers...real Nice!!!

I don't understand what that has to do with anything. He said that the game was unplayable in his estimation, so I suggested that he cancel his subscription.

And I find it humourous that you call him a troll as I have seen your posts on various threads and a quick look at your post history shows that you are probably a bigger troll than he is, just of the fanboi variety. You actively seek out any posts that do not reflect this game in a positive light and try to derail discussions.

There was no derailing intended. I merely implied that said person likely wouldn't understand you or would attack you by calling you a greedy spammer. He did it to other people who legitimately attempted to help him, so take it for what you will.

So when you post a RDJ gif rolling his eyes, with no other input as to why you might disagree with a person's point of view, that is not trolling? When you post one word replies like "nope" but offering no constructive advice or input otherwise, is not trolling?

Do you really want me to pick apart your post history and provide examples? Just because you are a staunch supporter of the game, does not mean you cannot be labelled as a troll. A troll is somebody who tries to impede discourse, whether it be against or in favour of the game.
